EXCLUSIVE Army dentist in revenge porn plot against 'hero of Nairobi' secretly sacked over new stalking claims
An Army dentist who sent a stream of 'distressing' messages to her SAS ex-boyfriend's new partner has been secretly sacked by senior officers following allegations that she has again been stalking her victim.
Major Jennifer Wilson had been allowed to continue serving in the Army after pleading guilty to harassment and malicious communications, including bombarding Tobi-Jayne Cadbury with aggressive messages.
Wilson, an Afghan War veteran, also sent naked pictures of Christian Craighead - a former SAS soldier decorated for saving hundreds of lives in a terrorist attack in Kenya - to Ms Cadbury, who was in a relationship with the elite soldier at the time.
Mr Craighead earned a Conspicuous Gallantry Cross after fighting terrorists from al-Shabaab - an Islamist group linked to al-Qaeda, who attacked the Dusit D2 hotel in Nairobi, Kenya, in 2019.
Wilson, 43, was forced to resign by defence chiefs at the end of last year. They said her behaviour was incompatible with military service.
A soldier of any rank may be ordered to resign if their conduct falls foul of military discipline.
One defence source said: 'Maj Wilson had hoped to continue serving in the Army. I think she always realised it was going to be a long shot. She is now attempting to rebuild her life.
'Given the publicity surrounding the trial, and her relationship with a former member of the SAS, it was always going to be difficult to rejoin the Army.
'The bottom line is that her position had become untenable and in cases like this soldiers are told they must resign.'
In December 2023, Wilson pleaded guilty at Aylesbury Crown Court to charges relating to social media messages. Her defence team said at the time that it was an 'internet spat which got out of hand'.
In June 2024, Wilson, who suffers from depression and PTSD after serving in Afghanistan, escaped a custodial sentence.
Instead she received a community order, including 30 sessions of an accredited programme requirement, 15 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days and 100 hours of unpaid work.
She also received a ten-year restraining order banning her from contacting her victims.
Ms Cadbury, 38, said: 'I'm disappointed that the Army and the Ministry of Defence have tried to save face by quietly sacking Wilson in the hope no one will notice.'
Back in the 2010s, Wilson had been in a relationship with Mr Craighead for about four years. But after finding out that he had a new partner, she began bombarding him with messages.
She then turned her attention to Ms Cadbury. 'She bulldozed into my life under the disguise of 52 anonymous social media accounts,' Ms Cadbury told the MoS last year.
'It was relentless. Every time I blocked one, a new account would appear, sending me more disgusting messages.'
An Army source said: 'We expect very high standards of behaviour of our personnel, whether they are on or off duty.
'Those who have fallen short of the Army's high standards are dealt with administratively and may face sanctions including dismissal.'

Former Tayside teacher back behind bars for pupil sexual abuse
A former teacher from Tayside is back behind bars after admitting to the repeated abuse of a pupil. Andrew Wilson preyed on the teenage girl in the early 1980s, often leaving her in tears. The now-78-year-old was a Latin teacher at the time at a secondary school in Angus, as well as the leader of the school's hillwalking club. Wilson was jailed for three years in 2021 for the serial abuse of three boys. It was media reports of that case which led this latest victim to bravely go to police and report her ordeal from 40 years ago. On Tuesday, Wilson pled guilty at the High Court in Glasgow to the repeated indecent assault of the girl between 1981 and 1984. The pervert pensioner had been on bail but was remanded in custody pending sentencing next month. Prosecutor Adrian Stalker told the court: 'The incidents of sexual abuse took place without the consent of the girl. 'He groomed her over several years, during which time he indecently assaulted her continuously.' The young victim was said to have had a troubled home life at the time. Mr Stalker said: 'Wilson took advantage of the girl's vulnerability and his position as a teacher.' Wilson first struck after returning from a trip to Aviemore with the hillwalking club, of which the girl had been a member. He dropped off other pupils first and then asked her into his home, claiming he was tired. Wilson made her dinner and gave her three glasses of wine. He went on to massage the girl, who described how she 'froze'. Wilson kissed the pupil and molested her and it was only later she realised she was probably drunk at the time. The next day at school, Wilson asked her to come back to his home that evening. 'He said what happened was wrong due to her age and him being a teacher. 'He was upset during this discussion and the girl felt sorry for him but he said it was her fault for inviting herself into his house.' He carried out another sex attack and again implied she was to 'blame' for what happened, the prosecutor said. The court heard the abuse continued until the girl was aged around 18. Wilson had given her a key to his home but she could only visit when it was dark and no-one was outside. She could also not wear perfume. The court heard the girl 'would often cry' when being preyed upon. Other attacks happened during trips with the hillwalking club. The victim did not tell anyone until many years later when she was married. A newspaper article in 2021 about Wilson's abuse of the three schoolboys over a near-20-year period prompted her go to police. Wilson – then of Ceres, Fife – had been struck off as a teacher in 2011 following a probe into his behaviour but it was a decade later before he was convicted in a criminal court. Lady Drummond adjourned the latest case for reports.

Extremists kill dozens of soldiers at a Mali military base, sources say
Extremists have killed dozens of soldiers in an attack on a military base in Mali, civil society and military sources said on Tuesday, in the latest militant violence in West Africa's restive Sahel region. The attack on Sunday on the base in Boulkessi, near the border with Burkina Faso, killed at least 60 soldiers and wounded 40 more, a civil society activist in the area told The Associated Press. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to talk to reporters. The al Qaeda-linked JNIM group claimed responsibility. A military source told the AP there were around 280 soldiers in the base, and 'all of those who didn't die were taken prisoner by the terrorists'. Mali's army acknowledged the attack in a statement on Monday, adding that soldiers had fought 'to their last breath'. It did not provide an exact death toll. Mali, along with neighbouring Burkina Faso and Niger, has battled an insurgency by armed groups, including some allied with al Qaeda and the Islamic State group. Following military coups in all three nations in recent years, they have expelled French forces and turned to Russia's mercenary units for security assistance. In a separate attack on Monday, JNIM claimed responsibility for co-ordinated attacks on a military airport, a military base and army checkpoints in the northern town of Timbuktu. Mali's army said on social media it repelled the attack and that 13 extremists had been killed. It did not say whether any soldiers were killed. A hospital employee in the town said one soldier died of his wounds and 10 other people were wounded. Timbuktu residents said they heard heavy gunfire and saw armed men enter the town on motorcycles. They spoke on condition of anonymity out of fear of reprisals. Rida Lyammouri, a Sahel expert at the Morocco-based Policy Centre for the New South, said the high level of co-ordination in the two attacks shows that JNIM had been planning them for a while. Attacks by extremists have been on the rise in Mali and neighbouring Burkina Faso in recent weeks. JNIM has established a strong presence in both.
