HARROWING new details have emerged after a young girl was hit and killed by a Range Rover.
The youngster was attending an after-school Islamic class at a house in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, when the tragedy unfolded on Monday evening.

Cops and paramedics rushed to the horror scene at around 5.30pm but despite their best efforts, the girl died at the scene.
Now, harrowing CCTV footage - which The Sun has chosen not to show - has revealed how the tragedy unfolded.
The young girl is seen suddenly emerging from behind a parked car as the Range Rover approaches before she's hit from behind.
The driver stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made.
One woman said she'd witnessed the collision but was too traumatised to relive the horror.
'It was awful,' she said.
'I saw the accident happen but it was so upsetting I can't talk about it.'
She said an ambulance had been following the Range Rover and he'd been taken out of the vehicle so the girl could receive treatment.
It was reported that the girl's distraught mother was seen "crying and shaking" on a street corner following the tragedy.
A large police presence could be seen on the street on Monday evening.
Rosetta Defazio, 57, who lives on the road, said: 'I saw the girl's mother nearby afterwards.
'She was very upset and crying and shaking a lot.
'They were lots of other people who were also crying and standing in the street.
'Some of them were saying prayers.'
'AWFUL' AND 'HEART-BREAKING'
The collision also happened close to a convenience store and a nearby junior school.
A man, believed to run the after-school classes, said he didn't wish to comment when he was approached.
Other residents described the collision as 'awful' and 'heart-breaking'.
One man said: 'I saw the air ambulance hovering above so I knew if was serious.
'The poor girl's family must be distraught.'
Robert Herdman, 56, owns an ice-cream van and the street is on his regular route.
And he stopped to lay a floral tribute near the scene.
'I just wanted to pay my respects.
'The girl was probably one of my customers.
'It's so sad.'
Greater Manchester Police said the Range Rover was travelling along Ashfield Road when the driver struck the youngster, who had gone out onto the road.
Officers from GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are investigating and enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Constable Thomas Johnson, from SCIU, said on Tuesday: 'I firstly want to pass my condolences onto the family of the girl who tragically died following last night's collision.
"The thoughts of everyone from our investigating team are with them and we are continuing to support them where we can. As our work progresses, we are asking for anyone with any information to please come forward.
"You may have witnessed last night's incident, or have relevant CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage.
"If you can send this to our officers, this would be greatly appreciated as we put together a complete picture of last night's incident.'

Salman Iftikhar was sentenced to 15 months in jail last week after admitting making threats to kill and racially aggravated harassment. The judge took into account Iftikhar's six previous convictions, including a common assault, a record she described as "lengthy and appalling". These six previous convictions have arisen from 15 offences over the years. And now further details of these offences have come to light - days after Iftikhar, 37, began his time at HM Prison Brixton in south London. It is his first time behind bars despite his two counts of common assault in 2004, drink driving in 2008 and driving with excess alcohol that same year among other crimes. In 2021, father-of-three Iftikhar was fined £3,000 after he was caught drunk behind the wheel. When pulled over, police also found him in possession of cannabis. Iftikhar, who was two times over the legal limit, subsequently pleaded guilty to drink driving, cannabis possession and failing to stop a vehicle when required to by a constable. Neighbours in Iver, Buckinghamshire, this week said police had also been called to his six-bedroom home dozens of times in recent years. Iftikhar had lived there with one of his two wives - Erum Salman, who is the mother to his three children. She was described as a "nice lady" by neighbours, who branded Iftikhar "not very friendly" this week. "There's been so many rowdy late night parties that have ended up in fights in the early hours of the morning. At one point it felt like the police were here almost every day," said one neighbour who also described Iftikhar as "often spaced out". The father of three kept a range of expensive cars - from a Range Rover, Bentley and Rolls-Royce - on his driveway at the time of his arrest. He and his UK-based wife together the pair run a London-based staffing company which provides training to businesses working in customer service and manufacturing. Yet, according to those known to the Buckinghamshire couple, the pair had a "rocky marriage and would argue quite a bit". Daily Mail reports Iftikhar diversified his skillset in recent years into "exposure to cryptocurrencies," a project likely to prove tricky to manage from his cell in jail. Drugs including heroin, cocaine, and MDMA were stored at two hotels. Ihtesham Ali Hassan, the manager of the Box Hotel in Newport, became involved in a drugs conspiracy headed by Nicholas Yhnell, 38. The OCG was involved in the supply of heroin, cocaine, and MDMA which was stored at the Box Hotel and its sister hotel the Box Guest House. Jade Strutt, 36, was also involved in the enterprise by directing drug couriers and storing cash. For the latest court reports sign up to our crime newsletter. The couriers based at the hotel would travel throughout the UK, delivering and collecting huge quantities of drugs and cash. An operation was launched by Gwent Police which saw five warrants executed in September last year at buildings in Newport and Cardiff involving 80 firearms officers and 100 supporting officers and staff. Pakistani militants kill six policemen in 13 attacks
PESHAWAR, Pakistan, Aug 14 (Reuters) - Militants in Pakistan's northwest carried out 13 overnight gun and grenade attacks on the police, killing six officers, officials said on Thursday. The attacks were against police stations, checkpoints and patrols across seven districts in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan, police officer Mohammad Ali Babakhel said, as the nation of 240 million people celebrated its 78th independence day. The militants used rocket-propelled grenade launchers in some of the attacks, he said, adding six officers were killed and another nine injured. "Out of 13, we inflicted losses on them, repulsed them and forced them to flee in nine, ten incidents," Provincial police chief Zulfiqar Hameed told reporters after attending funerals of the police officers in one of the districts. "We suffered losses in two incidents." He said the militants timed the attacks to coincide with the Independence Day celebration. A spike in the attacks in recent months is a tough challenge to handle for the overstretched and under-equipped police force, the frontline against militant attacks. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a Pakistani Islamist militant group with links to the Afghan Taliban, claimed responsibility for the attacks. The TTP is an umbrella group of several Sunni Islamist groups. It has been fighting against the state since 2007 in a bid to overthrow the government and replace it with its version of Islamic law. Attacks have accelerated since the TTP revoked a ceasefire with the Pakistani government in late 2022. In 2024, Islamist militants carried out 335 countrywide attacks, killing 520 people, according to the Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies, an independent organisation. Pakistan says the militants operate out of neighbouring Afghanistan, where they train fighters and plan attacks, a charge Kabul has denied.
