Jayson Tatum praises Warriors' Stephen Curry after All-Star game
On Sunday, Feb. 16, Stephen Curry participated in his 11th All-Star game. The Golden State Warriors superstar ended the weekend as the All-Star MVP, thus adding another trophy to his long list of awards. Following his latest award, multiple players from around the NBA shared their admiration for Curry's impact on the game of basketball on a global scale.
Jayson Tatum's comments were among the most popular. The Boston Celtics star has seen Curry at his best, losing to him in the 2022 NBA Finals.
'Steph's impact on the game, I think globally, has been special," Tatum said. "Myself, a lot of guys grew up watching Steph.'
Now that the All-Star weekend is over, Curry will undoubtedly turn his attention back toward the regular season. The Warriors recently added Jimmy Butler to their roster and have quickly looked drastically improved. Steve Kerr's team will now be aiming for a run at making the playoffs and potentially challenging for another championship.
Still, honoring Curry and the impact he's made around the globe was worthwhile. It's rare that a player transcends a sport, so when it happens, it's only right to celebrate those achievements, and an All-Star weekend in his home arena was a special way to do it.

Tom Brady's former coach makes bold suggestion to honor the legendary QB
Tom Brady's former coach makes bold suggestion to honor the legendary QB Around the world, there are a handful of trophies that can be recognized no matter where you are in the world. The Lombardi Trophy is one of those and winning one is the ultimate career goal of everyone who enters the National Football League. Bill Belichick made a career out of consistently winning them, raising the trophy a whopping eight times as a coach. Anytime the future Hall of Famer talks about the game or makes a suggestion, people listen. That is why when Tom Brady's former coach spoke with Jim Gray on the Let's Go! Podcast this week and floated an interesting idea regarding the Lombardi Trophy. It centers around his former quarterback and the renaming of the trophy itself. 'Players win games, you can win games without good players, I don't care who the coach is, you can't win. I found out when I had Harry Banks, Pepper Johnson, Jim Burt, everyone, all those guys. . .It's (Tom) Brady, it's (Willie) McGinest, it's (Mike) Vrabel. . .I didn't make any tackles, I didn't make any kicks. . .as a coach you wanna give your players a chance to win, you want to put them in a position where if they go out there they'' have a chance to win, thats what Coach (Bill) Parcells taught me. . .maybe they should name it (Lombardi Trophy) the Brady Trophy.' The NBA has shown that it will proactively rename trophies to honor players in its history. Vince Lombardi, of course, is why the trophy is titled what it is. After all, the Packers' head coach led the NFC North team to two straight Super Bowl victories in the first two inaugural events, back when commercials for the game cost a mere $42,000. While the trophy isn't likely to change names, the league could change the name of the MVP Award, like the NBA did by naming it the Bill Russell Award, just one suggestion.

New Mississippi State commit Adam Land 'can't wait to get to Stark Vegas'
The spring season was very good to Adam Land. The Lynn Haven (Fla.) Mosley tight end saw his list roll beyond a dozen scholarship offers, but he continued to make stops in Starkville over about all other contenders in his recruitment. Advertisement The Bulldogs returned the favor, from Jeff Lebby to Jon Cooper visiting him on multiple occasions this spring alone. It built comfort on both sides and the rising-senior elected to end his recruitment with a pair of phone calls on Tuesday. Mississippi State suddenly added a 10th pledge to the class of 2026. "I have had a different relationship with Coach Coop since the beginning and have been to Starkville four or five times since last summer," Land told Rivals. "It just feels like my place. "It's always felt laid back and comfortable." The three-sport standout was set to make an official visit to MSU next weekend, but saw no point in waiting to deliver the good news to the staff. Advertisement "Every time we have been to State they show us something different," he said. "I was waiting for my official and then just decided there was no reason to wait so I called Coach Cooper last night and made it official. "Coach Lebby called me today (Tuesday) and I guess that really made it official." "Coach Cooper was at my first ever mega camp last May and he followed the tight end group and coached me up between reps," he said. "Two days later he invited me to come to Starkville to camp and two days after that I was there working out... "About five months later, he and State were my first D1 offer and we have been tighter every week since." Also a standout basketball and baseball player, Land projects like a flex tight end who operates best in space as a matchup problem for smaller defenders.
