Jayson Tatum praises Warriors' Stephen Curry after All-Star game
On Sunday, Feb. 16, Stephen Curry participated in his 11th All-Star game. The Golden State Warriors superstar ended the weekend as the All-Star MVP, thus adding another trophy to his long list of awards. Following his latest award, multiple players from around the NBA shared their admiration for Curry's impact on the game of basketball on a global scale.
Jayson Tatum's comments were among the most popular. The Boston Celtics star has seen Curry at his best, losing to him in the 2022 NBA Finals.
'Steph's impact on the game, I think globally, has been special," Tatum said. "Myself, a lot of guys grew up watching Steph.'
Now that the All-Star weekend is over, Curry will undoubtedly turn his attention back toward the regular season. The Warriors recently added Jimmy Butler to their roster and have quickly looked drastically improved. Steve Kerr's team will now be aiming for a run at making the playoffs and potentially challenging for another championship.
Still, honoring Curry and the impact he's made around the globe was worthwhile. It's rare that a player transcends a sport, so when it happens, it's only right to celebrate those achievements, and an All-Star weekend in his home arena was a special way to do it.

DeMarcus Cousins has drinks thrown at him, tries to fight fans after wild ejection in Puerto Rico basketball league
DeMarcus Cousins hasn't played in the NBA since the 2021-22 season. (Photo by AAron Ontiveroz/MediaNews Group/The Denver Post via Getty Images) Former Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins came extremely close to re-creating the "Malice at the Palace" on Monday. Cousins tried to fight fans after a wild ejection during a Puerto Rico basketball league game. The incident occurred in the fourth quarter of the contest. Cousins — a member of the Guaynabo Mets — appeared to get into a verbal altercation with a fan on the side of the court. Cousins grabbed his crotch in front of the fan, who responded by flipping off Cousins. The center then touched the man multiple times before teammates stepped in. Cousins was ejected from the contest, but the incident wasn't over. As Cousins was being led back through the tunnel, he took a swipe at an angry fan and stuck up his middle finger at the crowd. At that point, multiple fans threw drinks at Cousins, who then attempted to go after the fans. Cousins was held back by multiple security members, who prevented what could have been a much nastier incident. Cousins, 34, hasn't played in the NBA since the 2021-22 season. A former first-round pick, Cousins emerged as a future superstar early in his career before injuries slowed him. Advertisement Since leaving the NBA, Cousins has continued his professional basketball career in various leagues around the world. He initially joined the Guaynabo Mets in 2023, but he also played in Taiwan and Mongolia before re-joining the Mets for the 2025 season. It's unclear whether Cousins will continue playing for the Mets following Monday's ejection and near-fight, which drew comparisons to the "Malice at the Palace." During an NBA game in 2004, Metta World Peace — then known as Ron Artest — went into the stands and fought fans at The Palace at Auburn Hills, where the Detroit Pistons used to play. Multiple players got involved in the scuffle, leading to multiple suspensions and charges from law enforcement. The Cousins incident didn't rise to that level Monday, but it's tough to see him getting another shot in the league considering how bad the situation looked.

The Sacramento State commit did a nice job of catching the ball out of the backfield. His shiftiness created real mismatch problems for linebackers. Advertisement Despite being committed to the Hornets since March, the California native is still hearing from programs including UCLA. ANDREW BEARD - Atlanta Beard upped his stock after earning MVP honors at the Rivals Camp Series in Atlanta. He was exceptional catching the football out of the backfield and was routing up opposing linebackers, who struggled to keep pace with speed and quick cuts. The four-star prospect is a three-down playmaker and proved as much in the camp setting. He's hearing from Georgia, Penn State and Georgia Tech most right now in his recruitment. SEAN MORRIS - Los Angeles Morris did a great job throughout the entire camp whether it was during position drills, running back/linebacker blocking drills when he showed off an excellent physical nature and then during one-on-ones when he got open and created space against linebackers. Advertisement Camps are not the easiest setting for running backs but Morris showed off all his tools. He displayed quick feet, physical toughness with his blocking and the ability to catch the ball coming out of the backfield. Northwestern may have gotten a steal with him out of California. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH NORTHWESTERN FANS AT VICTOR SANTINO - Los Angeles Santino is a player that has been coming to Rivals Camp Series events since his freshman year. The 2026 running back is muscled up, looks great on the hoof and runs with determination and smoothness at the same time. It looks like he's gliding through the drills. Advertisement It's easy to see why Cal is thrilled to have landed his commitment in June. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH CAL FANS AT LATHAN WHISENTON - Dallas Whisenton was a force at the running back position. The first thing that comes to mind when remembering his performance was his run blocking ability in drills. But he also more than held his own catching passes out of the backfield. Whisenton is built to run between the tackles and boasts speed to separate from defenders in coverage and soft hands on the receiving end. He's a 2027 back with the arrow pointing up early on. That's why Texas and Ole Miss are his two latest offers.
