I spent less than £100 doing up my kitchen with Next buys & can't believe the difference – it's like a new room

A WOMAN has left people gobsmacked after sharing her epic kitchen makeover on a budget.
According to data by HiF Kitchens, the average cost of a mid-range kitchen transformation is around £20,000-£30,000 - but thrifty Megan Pender proved there's no need to fork out the eye-watering sum.

The money-smart mum, from the UK, managed to revamp her dull kitchen on a tight budget thanks to purse-friendly buys.
What's even more impressive, Megan revealed in the post, she and her hubby did everything themselves - and the "after" snaps would make you think it was a professional job.
Before the renovation project, which cost the couple less than £100, the beige kitchen lacked character, featuring wooden cupboards, a dark grey worktop and no curtains by the windows.
But working on the DIY glow-up, the crafty pair managed to totally turn it upside down, giving the kitchen a brand new look, giving it a more modern feel.
Instead of spending hundreds on new cupboards, the Facebook user decided to simply zhuzh up the existing set by painting them with Rust-Oleum Hessian Matt Cupboard Paint.
Fellow DIY lovers can get this now on sale at Dunelm for just £18.40 for a 750ml tin - and according to Megan, they only used one pot.
Whilst sprucing up the cupboards, the couple also changed the old handles - and replaced them with chic matt black ones that cost them less than £2.
The now-updated lighter cupboards looked chic and trendy and went perfect with the wooden-effect worktops and the light wooden flooring.
For the kitchen counter, the mum told other members of the popular DIY On A Budget Official, the couple used D-C-Fix Ribbeck Matt & satin Oak Woodgrain effect Decorative film, which you can get for a mere £13 at B&Q.
Another subtle yet effective touch was the new set of blinds, which Megan had found at Next, the shared in the comments.

All chuffed with the epic glow-up - and rightly so - Anne proudly showed off the jaw-dropping results on social media.
She wrote in the caption, before revealing the next steps in the budget-friendly transformation: ''Kitchen makeover over for under £100.
''Still got the backlash to finish and a few finishing touches but can't believe the difference it's like a new kitchen!''
The gorgeous renovation project has clearly impressed many, as the post has racked up close to 120 likes in just two days.

'I found the perfect 'blonzing' product for summer that rivals rhode'

'Blonzers' are on the rise for summer, and Mirror's shopping writer Grace tested out Refy's newest blush drop to see how it looked on the skin Popular beauty brand REFY is one of our favourites over here at the Mirror. From the popular Lip Sculpt to the Lash Sculpt mascara (loved by Molly-Mae by the way) and my personal favourite, the Brow Tint, Refy products never miss. And the brand has just extended its Cream Blush range with two new shades that are perfect for summer. The shades included are Rust, a deep, warm-toned burnt orange and Plum, a cool-toned deep berry. Thanks to Hailey Bieber sparking the berry-toned make-up trend, and her popular Toasted Teddy Pocket Blush from rhode, we're not surprised to see that orange and burgundy blush shades are on the rise. I'm a huge fan of orange and brown toned blushers that give that popular 'blonzed' or sunburnt look so I was so excited to see that REFY had launched these new shades. Refy Rust Cream Blush Review What I love most about REFY blushes is the smooth, buildable texture that melts into the skin and creates that natural sun-kissed flush, and this new Rust shade is no exception. I hate cream blushes that require you to work really hard with the formula, and luckily this blush is quite literally fool-proof. It glides efffortlessly onto the skin, especially when using the Refy Duo Brush to apply it. And priced at £16, it's a really wallet-friendly blush that only requries a little bit each time you use it. Creating that beautiful 'sunburnt' blush look that I aim for everytime I do my make-up, and this blush is really the shade of the summer. Although I've not personally tested out rhode's Toasted Teddy, it has that similar burnt terracotta tone that's so popular at the moment. I'm not the only fan of these cream blushes with Molly Mae raving about the shade Malaya. This is a cool dusty pink with neutral undertones, perfect if you like using a pink blush that's not overly bubblegum or coral pink and has more of a mauve-y depth to the shade. A few of my other favourite blushes that have that similar bronze-y feel includes the Morphe Cheek Thrills Multi Finish Face Trio Palette, a fairly new product but already a staple in my make-up bag and priced at £19. Plus the Nudestix Nudies All Over Face Matte Bronze, priced at £31.50, which I used as a blush rather than a bronzer.
