R. Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh's romantic-drama Aap Jaisa Koi now has a release date. The film will start streaming on Netflix from July 11.
The film has been directed by Vivek Soni who also helmed the romantic-comedy Meenakshi Sundareshwar (2021) for Netflix. It has been backed by Dharma Productions.

The View descended into turmoil when Whoopi Goldberg and Alyssa Farah Griffin argued about the Israel-Iran conflict. Sara Haines stated that she will not protect Iran, which she termed as a 'terrorist nation that has been funding people killing people for decades,' after Sunny Hostin charged Israel of violating diplomatic law by carrying out airstrikes against Iran's nuclear installations last week. 'They've never followed the rules,' Haines stated. Goldberg became enraged when Griffin expressed her opinion that 'Iranians literally throw gay people off of buildings' and 'don't adhere to basic human rights.' Whoopi Goldberg, co-host, swiftly retorted that 90 percent of the people who entered the US are attempting to do the right thing, adding that individuals, who shouldn't be taken out of the country, are being pushed out. 'People who have visas, people who have all those things. So, we want all the right people. We don't want people who are doing bad stuff.'

Now, it seems that the movie's title teaser will be released on June 20, 2025. According to reports, including an update by cinephile Amutha Bharathi, the Suriya starrer's title is likely to arrive on director RJ Balaji's birthday. However, as of now, an official confirmation from the makers hasn't been made. The upcoming movie is touted to have Suriya playing a lawyer with Trisha Krishnan as the co-lead. While more details about the film are yet to arrive, the movie is musically crafted by young sensation Sai Abhyankkar. Aside from the lead actors, the movie will have an ensemble cast of performers like Swasika, Indrans, Yogi Babu, Sshivada, Natty Subramaniam, and many more. Suriya was last seen in the romantic actioner Retro, which was released on May 1, 2025. The Karthik Subbaraj directorial features the story of a man, Paari, who is raised by his foster father as a violent machine.
