CBSE Results 2025: Last year, the results were announced on May 13. In 2023, the CBSE results were declared on May 12.
Certain reports have speculated that the CBSE Class 10 and 12 results might be announced on May 2. However, a senior board official told News18.com that the results will not be released today.
As per its standard practice, CBSE is likely to declare the results without any prior announcement. This strategy is aimed at managing website traffic more efficiently and preventing potential server crashes.
By avoiding advance notice, the board ensures that students can access their results smoothly, without delays or technical issues caused by high online traffic.
Last year, the results were announced on May 13. In 2023, the CBSE results were declared on May 12. However, in 2022, the announcement was delayed until July 22 due to pandemic-related disruptions — the only such delay in recent years.
Over 41 lakh students who appeared for the CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2025 are now eagerly waiting for their results to be announced.

Students must secure a minimum of 33% in each subject and overall to pass. In cases of borderline scores, grace marks may be awarded. Students failing one or two subjects can appear for compartment exams, while those failing more subjects will need to repeat the year.
The CBSE works with a 9-point grading system (from A1 to E) depending on the numbers scored by each candidate. A1 is the highest grade achievable while grade E will be given to the students who fail the exam. The top 1/8th passed candidates will be awarded Grade A1, similarly the next 1/8th grade A2. Grades B1 and B2 will be awarded to the subsequent 1/8th passed candidates. Just like that, C1-C2-D1-D2 grades will be given to the following 1/8th passed candidates. Grade E will be given to those who fail the exam.

Infrastructure gaps a hurdle for most govt schools in Gurgaon to get PM Shri tag

Gurgaon: Of 18 govt senior secondary schools in the district that applied for PM Shri status, 16 have failed to meet the mandatory infrastructure and compliance requirements. The deficiencies include a lack of a fire NOC, approved building plans, and essential facilities such as well-equipped libraries, science laboratories, and playgrounds. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The principals of these schools are now trying to obtain the necessary no-objection certificates (NOCs) from various departments to advance the process. The district education department has confirmed that only two schools have so far met the criteria set under the PM Shri (Prime Minister Schools for Rising India) scheme. Launched by the central govt in 2022, the PM Shri scheme aims to develop selected govt schools into model institutions with enhanced infrastructure, digital classrooms, and innovative learning practices. Once selected, these schools receive direct funding from the centre for infrastructure development and academic enhancement. Currently, only 8 out of 130 govt schools in the district have been granted PM Shri status. These schools are spread across the blocks of Gurgaon, Sohna, Farrukhnagar, and Pataudi—two in each block. Three of these schools are affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). According to the education department, the following 18 senior secondary govt schools have submitted applications: Kasan Girls Senior Secondary School, Bas Hariya Senior Secondary School, Jatauli Senior Secondary School, Kasan Boys Senior Secondary School, Model Sanskriti School, Farrukhnagar, Kankrola Senior Secondary School, Haily Mandi Girls School, among others. The department emphasised that only schools that meet all the necessary standards will be upgraded under the scheme. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Also, a district-level committee comprising the district project coordinator, assistant project coordinator, district education officer, and elementary education officer has been formed to assess the applications. Assistant project coordinator Satya Narayan Yadav confirmed that inspections are underway, and schools found lacking have been given time to rectify issues.

NEET-UG candidates flag paper errors, layout flaws; NTA declines to comment on key complaints

Concerns over the integrity of this year's NEET-UG examination are mounting, with candidates and parents alleging serious lapses in the conduct of the paper, particularly in Gujarat and Rajasthan. While the National Testing Agency (NTA) maintains that all questions were within the prescribed syllabus, students are now pointing to faulty question papers, poor layout, and a lack of timely redressal of grievances. The NEET-UG 2025 exam was conducted on May 4, and results are expected later this month. The test is the sole gateway for over 20 lakh aspirants seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical programmes across India. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 4BHK+Family Lounge+Utility room at 4.49Cr (All Incl)* ATS Triumph, Gurgaon Book Now Undo Faulty paper codes confuse candidates in Sikar, Jamnagar Students in Rajasthan's Sikar and Gujarat's Jamnagar have reported receiving misprinted booklets, particularly under Paper Codes 47 and 48, where question pages were jumbled or non-sequential. For instance, students with Code 47 in Sikar said question 7 was followed by question 15, leaving them confused about which circle to darken on the OMR sheet. "Students even raised the issue during the test but were told to solve the faulty paper," a parent said in a written complaint submitted to the Gujarat government and NTA. Scanned copies of the faulty booklets were attached as proof. A Gujarat state education official confirmed that such complaints had been received. Live Events Due to the confusion, some candidates inadvertently marked incorrect responses, while others said they lost critical minutes trying to match questions with the correct answer circles. When asked for a response, an NTA official declined to comment on the Sikar case, citing that the matter is sub judice. Calculus question raises syllabus concerns In addition to layout flaws, some coaching experts and students have flagged questions they say were beyond the medical entrance syllabus. One widely shared example is question 38 from Code 47, which reportedly asked candidates to solve a calculus-based derivative—a concept typically reserved for engineering exams like the JEE (Main). An NTA official responded: 'All questions were from the prescribed syllabus. The answer keys have been published and objections invited from candidates. These will be reviewed by a committee of subject experts.' However, this clarification does not address the complaints about printing and sequencing errors, which remain a layout and execution issue rather than one of academic content. With result day nearing, students and parents are demanding that the NTA not only correct such errors but also institute better mechanisms for grievance redressal, particularly in high-stakes exams like NEET-UG.
