Lyle teen injured in Monday morning crash on I-35
Jun. 11—A Lyle teen was injured Monday morning resulting from a two-vehicle crash on Interstate-35.
Aiden Lee Lambert, 18, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries after the 2011 Jeep Liberty he was driving was involved in a two-vehicle collision involving a 2022 International Tractor Trailer driven by 22-year-old Nathanyel Mychal Daley of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Daley was uninjured.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, both vehicles were traveling southbound on Interstate 35 when they collided just after 11 a.m. at mile marker 71 in Rice County.
The Rice County Sheriff's Office and Northfield Ambulance responded.

2-vehicle crash sends Austin woman to hospital
Jun. 11—An Austin woman was injured Tuesday afternoon after the vehicle she was driving was involved in a crash on Highway 218. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash took place a little after 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday and involved a 2008 KIA Rio driven by 38-year-old Marcelina Aguilar Mendoza of Austin and a 2021 Mack Pinnacle driven by 52-year-old Jason Michael Mattes of Sleepy Eye. Both vehicles were traveling southbound on Highway 218 when they collided in a rear-end collision at 18th Avenue NW. The report doesn't indicate which vehicle was trailing in the collision. Aguilar Mendoza was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System-Austin with non-life threatening injuries. The Austin Police Department and Mayo Ambulance responded.

Lyle 18-year-old injured in Interstate 35 crash Monday
Jun. 10—WEBSTER TOWNSHIP, Minn. — A Lyle man was injured in a crash with a semi-truck Monday, June 9, 2025, on Interstate 35 in Rice County. A 2011 Jeep Liberty and a 2022 International semi-truck were southbound on Interstate 35 near milepost 71 when they collided around 11:04 a.m., according to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report. The driver of the Jeep, Aiden Lee Lambert, 18, of Lyle, was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the International, Nathanyel Mychal Daley, 22, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, was also transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The Rice County Sheriff's Office and Northfield Ambulance also responded to the scene.
