Regular social media users will be all too aware that it's impossible to scroll through TikTok or Instagram without being bombarded with videos about food. Videos by 'influencers' recommending restaurants, recipe ideas or showing off what they eat in a day can rack up millions of views within hours. Some even go further – to capitalise on social media algorithms that reward extreme or bizarre content – gorging on up to 5,000 calories in one sitting or seeking out 'the most calorific foods' they can find.

Police hunt for topless man after woman 'sexually assaulted on London Underground train'

Police have begun their hunt for a topless man after a woman was sexually assaulted on a London Underground train. The horrifying attack happened on a Jubilee line train travelling between the Southwark and London Bridge stations, on Monday, June 30. In an especially disturbing turn, the suspect struck just before 5pm - during rush hour, when passengers might especially expect to be safe amid crowds of commuters. British Transport Police (BTP) officers are now looking to speak to another man who they believe might have information which could help their investigation. They have now released a CCTV image of the person of interest in the hope members of the public might recognise him and be able to identify him. The picture shows a white, middle-aged man, of an average build, with very short, dark hair and a large tattoo on the top of his right arm. He is shirtless and wearing black and white patterned shorts, walking through what appears to be a Tube station. Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact the BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 405040, quoting reference 500 of June 30. People can alternatively contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111. Reports of sexual offences across London's Tubes, trains and buses have risen by more than 10 per cent year on year, recent Transport for London (TfL) figures show. Some 2,671 sexual offences were reported to police across the TfL network between February 2023 and January 2024. This is a rise of a whopping 10.5 per cent on the number reported in the same period the year before - 2,418. TfL noted the year on year period in question saw an increase in the total number of passengers on the network as the country readjusted post-pandemic. It also added an 'increase in reporting was anticipated' after it launched a wave of posters across its network in January 2023 encouraging 'bystander intervention'. These signs followed the rollout of other posters in October 2021 raising awareness of different forms of sexual harassment, including upskirting, cat-calling, inappropriate touching and more. The newer posters encouraged passengers to intervene, if safe to do so, to help victims of any sexual harassment on the transport network. The transport authority said: 'Tracking research has not indicated any significant increase in incidents on the network, therefore the increase in the number of reports is a positive sign that the campaign is helping to raise awareness of what constitutes sexual harassment and our zero-tolerance approach to any form of abuse on our network.'

ICE Barbie' Kristi Noem's cosmetic surgery and puppy slaughter is brutally-mocked in latest South Park episode

South Park continued its rampage against the Trump administration in its latest episode, which portrayed Kristi Noem as a Botox-obsessed puppy killer. The second installment of the show's latest season, titled Got a Nut, showed Noem shooting several dogs as Botox melted off her face - a reference to her admission that she once put down a rowdy puppy. 'A few years ago I had to put my puppy down by shooting it in the face, because sometimes doing what's important means doing what's hard,' Noem said in the episode as she introduced herself to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recruits. 'Now I will ask for the same determination from you. Because detaining and questioning people is never easy,' Noem's South Park version added as she flipped her hair. The Secretary's good looks then disappeared as she takes a bath on the episode, before a glam squad appeared to put her public face back on. The episode eventually showed ICE agents and Noem raiding heaven as her face melted and fell onto the floor, taking on a life of its own. 'No more brownies in heaven!' Noem's Comedy Central version said to the agents. The Secretary of DHS then headed to Mar-A-Lago where she asked president Donald Trump if he was trying to replace her. 'Think I can't handle myself because I'm a lady with good looks that drives men wild?' she said as her face melted off again and moved across Mar-A-Lago on its on. South Park's new episode also targeted Vice President JD Vance, portraying him as a man-child servant to Trump. Vance did not seem bother by the portrayal, and wrote on Twitter: 'Well, I've finally made it.' The show also took aim at conservative pundit Charlie Kirk, showing him getting caught by his mom as he is 'master-debating' in his bedroom. It comes after the show's season premiere showed President Trump in bed with Satan. The premiere also took aim at Paramount and its $16 million recent settlement with Trump just hours after creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone signed a five-year deal with the company for 50 new episodes and streaming rights to previous seasons. The installment touched upon the controversial cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, which critics baselessly allege was axed by the network to appease Trump despite it losing $40 million each year. The White House issued a statement on the 27th season premiere after it aired last month. 'This show hasn't been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention,' White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers said in the statement. 'President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country's history – and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump's hot streak.' Earlier this week, however, the Department of Homeland Security's X account shared an image of South Park's ICE depiction as it called on Americans to join the agency. 'Wait so we ARE relevant?' replied the South Park account on X.
