MoFA summons Iranian envoy, reiterates Qatar's condemnation of violation of its sovereignty

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on Tuesday summoned Ambassador of Iran to Qatar HE Ali Salehabadi and reiterated Qatar's strong condemnation of the attack on Al-Udeid Air Base by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, considering it a blatant violation of its sovereignty and airspace, as well as of the international law and the United Nations Charter.
The ministry also affirmed that Qatar reserves the right to respond to this flagrant violation in accordance with international law.
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi affirmed to the Iranian ambassador that this violation is completely inconsistent with the principle of good neighbourliness and the close relations that exist between Qatar and Iran, especially considering that Qatar has always advocated for dialogue with Iran and has made considerable diplomatic efforts in this regard.
The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs also emphasised the urgent need to immediately return to dialogue and diplomatic channels to resolve disputes and outstanding issues, avoid escalation, and halt military operations in an effort to promote regional and international stability.

Qatar condemns Israeli settlers' storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards
QNA Doha The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the storming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards by dozens of Israeli settlers, led by the Minister of National Security in the occupation government. It deemed it a flagrant violation of international law and an act of provocation to the feelings of Muslims worldwide. In a statement on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned of the consequences of continuation of such violations against the Palestinian people and their Islamic and Christian sanctities, and the resulting expansion of the cycle of violence in the region. It stressed that the international community should shoulder its moral and legal responsibility toward Jerusalem and its sanctities. The ministry reiterated the State of Qatar's unwavering position on the just of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, including the full right to perform their religious rituals without restrictions, and establish their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Awqaf trains 30 Qatari students of Al Noor Qur'anic Educational Centre in Holy Qur'an memorisation
QNA Doha The Department of Da'wah and Religious Guidance at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has wound up the first summer course for students of the Al Noor Qur'anic Educational Centre. The three-week module saw the participation of 30 Qatari students enrolled in the Centre's evening study circles, whose ages ranged between 9 and 16. The Department of Da'wah honoured the students who participated in the final course, in recognition of their memorisation achievements, efforts to review the Holy Qur'an, and reflection on its meanings. General Supervisor of the Al Noor Qur'anic Educational Centre Youssef Hassan Al Hammadi highlighted that the course was intended to capitalise on the summer break to hone the students' skills in terms of cultural and faith behaviour through staging a daily program starting from 8am until just prior to the midday prayer. He clarified that students engaged in memorising two pages from the Holy Qur'an on a daily basis, enhanced by reflection on the Qur'anic concepts and values. The weekly programme featured days devoted to memorising and reviewing the Holy Qur'an, with Tuesdays dedicated to conducting recreational activities and outdoor excursions, in collaboration with a host of entities, primarily the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), which delivered a course in cybersecurity, in addition to providing sports fields and swimming pools to strengthen students' physical capabilities, Al Hammadi added. Educational and Family Supervisor at the centre Dr. Ahmed Abdel Qader Al Farajabi asserted that this course was not merely confined to scientific and spiritual facets, but rather to promoting righteous conduct and social manners through holding communal Iftar events, midday prayers in groups, and maintaining ritual purity throughout the duration of the programme. Throughout the year, the Centre constantly engages in offering comprehensive informed programmes to teach Islamic jurisprudence and precepts, with students' adherence to the course curriculum, Dr. Al Farajabi underlined. For his part, president of the centre, Sheikh Fahad Mohammed Al Housali stated that the course conspicuously featured positive competition among students, with one of them memorising two full parts from the Holy Qur'an, while another memorised one and a half. Al Housali further added that the module included teaching students the core practical acts of worship, including purification, wudu, ghusl, as well as the conditions of prayer and its essential obligations.
