Leeds left-back Gabriel Gudmundsson impressed by Elland Road atmosphere
The atmosphere at LS11 reached fever pitch and Sweden left-back Gudmundsson, signed for a reported £10million from Lille in July, acknowledged the fans will be key to their survival chances.

Gudmundsson told LUTV after an impressive debut: 'Wow! I really enjoyed that one, I can tell you that.
'We have to have this atmosphere. It was amazing. It was so good and we need them to push us.
'It does make a difference. Obviously, you're focused on the game, but you know, hearing the crowd shouting and singing is really nice.
'It adds a small percentage – to work and run and fight even more, so they need to keep doing that.
'In the Premier League we're going to suffer, but we have to suffer together.'
Gudmundsson said three points in their opener was crucial for Leeds, whose next two league fixtures are at Arsenal and against Newcastle before the first international break in September.
'It was the first game and was really important to start well,' the 26-year-old left-back added. 'We know what it means to get three points.
'We know that we have two upcoming games that are going to be really tough.'

Leeds are waiting to learn the full extent of Ethan Ampadu's injury after a clattering late second-half challenge by Tim Iroegbunam eventually saw their captain forced off.
Everton boss David Moyes was furious at referee Chris Kavanagh's penalty decision, upheld by VAR, after James Tarkowski was adjudged to have handled after leaning into Anton Stach's deflected shot.
But Everton carried little threat and although Moyes is 'desperate' to add quality in the final third, he said Toffees fans must not expect too much too soon of loan star Jack Grealish.
The England playmaker had no chance to shine after making his debut off the bench with 20 minutes left.
Moyes said: 'Jack's trained really well. I just want to bring him in at the right time rather than the expectations be too high, too quickly for him.
'I think he's very rarely played two games in a row. He's very rarely played three games in a row.
'So if you look into his history – we need to bring him on at the right times.
'The attacking play – we're desperate to get more quality in. Let's be fair, I've been saying for a while we have to find ways of getting that better.'

Rogers' superb 2024/25 campaign was his first for Villa in the top flight and included a memorable hat-trick in the club's 4-2 UEFA Champions League triumph over Celtic.

Alexander Isak saga: Newcastle respond to wantaway striker's social media post
Newcastle have insisted Alexander Isak was never told he could leave this summer in response to the wantaway striker's social media post. Isak broke his silence amid his attempts to force a move out of Newcastle by accusing the club of breaking promises in a lengthy statement on Instagram. But the club responded late on Tuesday night to say they were disappointed at the Sweden international's message, while leaving the door open for the 25-year-old to return to the fold. A club statement read: 'We are disappointed to have been alerted to a social media post by Alexander Isak this evening. We are clear in response that Alex remains under contract and that no commitment has ever been made by a club official that Alex can leave Newcastle United this summer. 'We want to keep our best players, but we also understand players have their own wishes and we listen to their views. 'As explained to Alex and his representatives, we must always take into consideration the best interests of Newcastle United, the team and our supporters in all decisions and we have been clear that the conditions of a sale this summer have not transpired. We do not foresee those conditions being met. 'This is a proud football club with proud traditions and we strive to retain our family feel. Alex remains part of our family and will be welcomed back when he is ready to rejoin his teammates.' Isak, who has been the subject of a rejected bid from Liverpool, was not involved in Newcastle's Premier League opener on Saturday as they failed to score in a goalless draw at Aston Villa, having been training alone after refusing to play in some pre-season matches. On Tuesday he was named in the PFA Premier League team of the season and used a post on Instagram expressing his gratitude to address his situation. 'I've kept quiet for a long time while others have spoken,' Isak wrote. 'That silence has allowed people to push their own version of events, even though they know it doesn't reflect what was really said and agreed behind closed doors. 'The reality is that promises were made and the club has known my position for a long time. To act now as if these issues are only emerging is misleading. 'When promises are broken and trust is lost, the relationship can't continue. That's where things are for me right now – and why change is in the best interests of everyone, not just myself.' Liverpool had a bid reportedly worth £110million plus add-ons rejected by Newcastle at the start of August but have retained an interest in the player despite signing Hugo Ekitike – a forward who was also targeted by Newcastle. Newcastle are said to value Isak at £150million, and would only consider a sale if they have signed a replacement. Isak, who returned to training at Newcastle on August 4, has three years remaining on his contract at St James' Park, and it was understood he would be fined if he missed competitive matches as a result of his desire to leave. Alejandro Garnacho has rejected an offer to leave Manchester United this summer as he holds out for a move to Chelsea, according to reports. Garnacho has long been destined to leave Manchester United after a falling out with Ruben Amorim at the end of last season. And despite an abundance of quality in the wide attacking areas, Chelsea are keen to welcome Garnacho to Stamford Bridge this summer. Garnacho is said to have already agreed personal terms with Chelsea, although the Blues still have to match United's valuation before a sale is sanctioned.
