The ice-cream promises to be a big hit with all the family
As the good weather shows no sign of ending, many families will be enjoying an after dinner ice-lolly or ice-cream to help cool them down after a long day in the sunshine. It's the perfect time of year to treat yourself to something sweet, but having to constantly nip to the supermarket to restock your frozen goodies can be time-consuming.
To save you both time and money, you could try whipping up your own no-churn ice cream at home, which could be a tad healthier than the store-bought varieties. Making your own ice cream doesn't need to be a long and laborious task, it can actually be a simple job with a great result.

Carnation's delightful recipe requires just three ingredients, with creators claiming it's so easy to make you could almost do it with your eyes closed.

Ingredients
600ml carton whipping cream
200g Carnation Condensed Milk
1tbsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract
You will also need:
900g loaf tin or similar to store the ice cream
Method
Beat the cream to soft peaks then add the condensed milk and vanilla and beat again to soft peaks.
If you're adding extra flavouring to your ice cream, now is the time to do it! We like to add cocoa powder for a delicious chocolate ice cream, or mix through berry coulis for a raspberry ripple.
Pour the ice cream into a freezable container. Freeze until solid (about 3-4 hours or overnight).

Extra tip
Don't shy away from the amount of vanilla - for best results look out for vanilla bean paste as it will make the final ice cream taste like all the premium tubs in the supermarket.
A Carnation spokesperson said: "We adore this ice cream recipe - so easy you could almost make it with your eyes shut! So creamy, smooth and undeniably delicious... no stabilisers, preservatives or anything weird.. try it this week you won't regret it!"
Shoppers were quick to comment on the straight-forward recipe.

One person wrote: "WoW!! So delicious and easy! As I just moved and have no kitchen utensils, no whisk, blender, I wasn't expecting miracles. I used a jar and lid to shake the cream and condensed milk, added salted peanuts and chocolate raisins. Amazing. Really."
Another added: "Simple, quick and easy to make. Delicious. Serve in a cone on its own, or with fresh fruit. Great with a banana, toasted walnuts and drizzle of maple syrup Just like ice cream should taste."
Another agreed, saying: "I make this ice cream regularly and I really enjoy it. It is very easy to make just put everything in the bowl and beat it , worth the time to make as it tastes delicious."

One person said they tweaked Carnation's recipe and were delighted with the result.
They said: "So, I thought I had a can of condensed milk in the cupboard.
"Turned out it was Nestle caramel. Still, I had a go at making salted caramel ice cream. Boy did it work out well. Family loved it."

'Underrated' cologne for him that is 'truly unique' slashed by 67% at Superdrug

If there's one gift dad is sure to love this Father's Day, then it's a bottle of fragrance. Fortunately, there are many deals still available before Sunday, June 15. One retailer offering hefty discounts across luxury branded scents is Superdrug, with over half-price being slashed across iconic designer bottles such as Hugo Boss, Emporio Armani, Jean Paul Gaultier and much more. However, like perfume, choosing the right cologne can be difficult, but one dad will be able to get a lot off use out of is the Versace The Dreamer For Him Eau de Toilette that has been praised as "great for all year round." Like many premium fragrances, it often comes with an expensive price-tag, with a large 100ml costing £74, although the health and beauty chain has slashed it to just £24, saving a staggering 67 percent off the RRP. Described as "warm" and "fresh", Versace's Dreamer is an aromatic fragrance that, while belonging to the cologne family, is said to boast a variety of notes that make it suitable for both men and women. The scent opens on vibrant notes of juniper, tarragon, and artemisia, before blending into heart notes of iris, lily and flax flowers to add a touch of softness. It then ends on a comforting base of tobacco blossom and amber, offering a smoky, luxurious finish. The transparent, clear fragrance itself is housed in an opulent glass bottle that has been embossed with the iconic medusa logo, representing the luxury aesthetic of the iconic fashion house. For the dads who love a mix of notes in their fragrance, then another deal worth looking into is on the Gucci Guilty Essence Pour Homme (90ml) that is now on offer at The Perfume Shop for £44.99, down from £97. Another unisex style fragrance is Calvin Klein's CK One, which was the first to be marketed as such. Mixing earthy and fresh notes, shoppers can bag a large 200ml for just £32.50, down from £74, on Amazon. However, shoppers keen to know more about Versace's The Dreamer EDT will be happy to hear it has earned a 4.6 rating and 91 percent recommendation rate from Superdrug shoppers, as they say it is a "truly unique" scent. A second delighted shopper said: "Absolutely amazing! Smell is subtle yet noticeable. Very clean and fresh. Meant for males but I think it is suitable for females too and for £30 off the price on offer 10/10." Beauty deal of the week It's almost Father's Day, and are you in need of some gift inspiration? If you don't want to buy a last minute gift, then we have you covered, as a bottle of aftershave is always a good shout and Debenhams has just cut the Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme Eau De Toilette from £92 to just £55.20 for a large 100ml bottle. There is also a smaller 60ml bottle that is a bit cheaper, with the price being reduced by 37 per cent from £68 to £43. Since reviews say it "stands out from the crowd", it's a deal worth bagging for dad. Launched in 2006, this YSL fragrance has been described as "a fragrance for the urban and charismatic 21st century male". For the guy in your life who likes to smell a little different, then this is the bottle to reach for. It opens on sparkling notes of bergamot, zesty cedarwood and Chinese ginger that has been met with the middle notes of violet leaves and basil flowers, offering a floral and spicy contrast. It is said to end on base notes of sandalwood, Virginia cedar wood and Haitian vetiver to "highlight this charismatic and magnetic fragrance." Those who want to stand out from the crowd will appreciate the YSL L'Homme Eau De Toilette, as it has earned a 4.7 rating from Debenhams fragrance buffs who have said it is "unusual" and "always gets compliments." One positive review read: "An unusual and outstanding men's perfume! What an interesting fresh yet a hint of spice men's perfume! It's different. Stands out from the crowd. Purchase the Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme Eau De Toilette (100ml) in the Debenhams sale here. Someone else remarked: "Not to be overlooked. This is a lesser known Versace men's fragrance but oh my it is gorgeous ! Hubby loved it and amazing value for money." The longevity and less intense nature of the fragrance have been mentioned as a couple of drawbacks, with one three-star review read: "Decent scent once you get accustomed to it. Longevity is somewhat disappointing, given the price and brand." By comparison, someone praising the longevity said: "Pleasant, not overpowering smell. Found it lasts longer than many others i have tried. I really like it."

Skechers' 'most comfy' sandals that are 'second to none' 35% less on Amazon

The popular sandals are on offer in a "limited time deal" - so shoppers will need to act fast. If there's one summer holiday must have, then its a pair of sandals. A much more breathable option than trainers, they can provide both support and style. One brand that has become synonymous for offering comfort is Skechers, and we have just spotted the footwear firm's Reggae Cup Oh, Snap Open Toe Sandals enjoying a 35 percent discount on Amazon. Offering a casual, sporty design, these slingback-style sandals can be paired with virtually anything, whether that be shorts and a tee while out exploring new places, or a simple dress when out for a nice meal on vacation. Reduced from £54 to £35 in a limited time deal, this is the perfect opportunity to nab them ahead of the warmer weather. The key feature is going to be the Arch Comfort contoured footbed that provides cushioning and support, with shoppers saying they are like "walking on air." Shoppers also don't need to worry about the straps rubbing or causing blisters after wearing them for long periods at a time, as they have been crafted from a soft, stretchy material that fits easily around the foot. Meanwhile, the smooth, synthetic heel strap that keeps the foot securely in place has no fiddly buckle, but instead an easy-to-use Velcro fastening that can be used to provide an adjustable fit. Available in sizes three to eight, it is worth keeping in mind that Amazon's deal on these Skechers sandals is only available on the black colourway with grey accents. Another brand that offers cushioned shoes for the summer is Pavers, with these Casual Touch Fasten Sandals offering a chunkier design that some other shoppers might prefer for £45. Prefer a pair of Birkenstocks but without the price? Then New Look's Mink Faux Leather Buckle Strap Sandals offer a fully cushioned footbed, alongside full padding for an affordable £16.99. Spring is here so I have worn them a couple of times already. Walking on air!" Fashion deal of the week In need of new trainers, but don't want to pay Skechers prices. For people with plantar fasciitis, the arch support on sketchers is second to none. I was having trouble finding sandals that offer the support but still look nice. These are spot on. I just need the sun to come back lol." A few shoppers have advised that the sizes run on the larger side, as one three-star review read: "I was surprised that these sandals run big. They are cute, but I got the smallest size and it was still too big." Although, someone pleased with the fit wrote in a more positive review: "These Skechers sandals are the most comfortable I've ever worn. They look elegant too. Your foot sits snuggly and are supported especially the arch fit of the sandal. I am so pleased, and would definitely recommend."
