Erie Co. Veteran Memorial Park construction will soon be complete
The park is currently going through an improvement project to make the walkways more ADA accessible.
PennDOT planning to demolish Girard bridge over I-90
Right now, construction workers are extending the sidewalks near the World War II memorial and doing landscaping.
The vice president of the park, Bill Welch, said the contractor is waiting for nice weather to continue the work.

'We have high hopes of getting this and having it look the way, match our vision, and to make it sort of user-friendly for people coming here, and in the long run, we may be going more,' said Welch.
Welch said that they plan to put in surveillance cameras after experiencing vandalism over the years as well.

Warren County man facing disorderly conduct charge for threatening PennDOT workers
CORRY — A Warren County man is facing a summary disorderly conduct charge after the Pennsylvania State Police accused him of yelling at and threatening Pennsylvania Department of Transportation employees at a construction zone in Warren County Aug. 11. The charge had not been filed as of Aug. 12 against the 42-year-old Pittsfield man, who is accused of confronting PennDOT employees on the morning of Aug. 11 at Bull Hill Road and Route 958 in Freehold Township. According to state police in Corry, troopers who were called to the area to investigate a reported disturbance were told the man, who was driving a white van, yelled and swore at a flagger at the beginning of the construction zone. The man then reportedly screamed at a work zone supervisor before stopping his van at the end of the construction zone, troopers reported. Mobile man hospitalized after gunshot wound

Gunfire strikes Mobile home, vehicle
MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Two homes and a vehicle were struck by gunfire on Jackson Road. According to a release from the Mobile Police Department, officers were called to the 1100 block of Jackson Road for a report of a shooting on Sunday, Aug. 10, at around 5:34 p.m. UPDATE: 2 dead, 1 hospitalized after industrial incident in Mobile When the officers arrived, they found that gunfire had struck two homes and a vehicle.
