Sydney Sweeney's red carpet premiere outfit roasted on social media
The US actress and her stylist, Molly Dickson — who also worked on the controversial campaign — chose a custom butter yellow Danielle Frankel gown for the occasion, complete with a thick matching headband.
The dress featured a high-shine corset-style top and tulle skirt that hit right around her ankles, showcasing her pointy-toed heels.
The comment section on @checkthetag's post of her look is heating up, with many playing off the AE campaign's tagline, 'Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.'
'Who's responsible for her bad fashion genes?' one user quipped. Another echoed them, writing, 'Genes with a bad taste'
'Are you auditioning for Oklahoma?' a third joked — referencing a scene in 'Euphoria' Season 2 where everyone thought Sweeney's character, Cassie, was trying out for the play due to her country-bumpkin getup.
Others poked fun at Sweeney's recently revealed voter registration, with one person quipping, 'Whoever styled her found out she's a Republican lol.'
Still more blamed Dickson for the red carpet look. 'Why does her stylist hate her' one said. Another added, 'That headband and the vomit yellow my God … whoever styled her has beef with her.'
American Eagle has been in hot water since launching the controversial campaign on July 23.
'Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair colour, personality and even eye colour. My jeans are blue,' Sweeney said in the video ad, which has since been removed from American Eagle's social media platforms.
American Eagle, however, responded to the backlash on Instagram last week.
''Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans' is and always was about the jeans,' the retailer wrote in a post.
'Her jeans. Her Story. We'll continue to celebrate how everyone wears their AE jeans with confidence, their way. Great jeans look good on everyone.'

TV host exposes rude A-list encounter
Jesse Watters claims Shia LaBeouf verbally attacked him at an airport for no reason more than five years ago. The Fox News host recalled the actor's alleged insults during Tuesday's episode of Jesse Watters Primetime, while speaking to playwright and director David Mamet. Mamet was promoting his film, Henry Johnson, which stars LaBeouf. 'Well, Shia LaBeouf told me to go eff myself at a Delta lounge at the airport a couple years ago,' Watters said, per Page Six. 'So tell him I said hi,' he added sarcastically. 'Will you do that for me?' Mamet laughed off the story, responding, 'I think we need to … instead of electing very volatile people who love fantasies to be our actors, we have to start electing the philosopher kings and queens. What do you think?' Watters smiled and replied, 'I'd vote for a philosopher king or queen. Sign me up. I may even donate. I'm not allowed to — sorry Fox. Not in the handbook.' The conservative commentator first talked about his alleged encounter with the Transformers actor back in 2019 while guest-hosting The Ingraham Angle. Watters claimed LaBeouf, 39, insulted him in front of his kids completely unprovoked. 'The other day, I was at a lounge at the Delta sky situation trying to take off for a flight with my family,' he said. 'And the actor Shia LaBeouf or whatever his name is, I think it was him — it looked exactly like him — I walk by and he calls me 'trash' right in front of my kids, you know? 'And I didn't say anything. I didn't lose it,' he continued. 'But, you know, these things happen.' LaBeouf has never commented on the alleged interaction and his rep didn't immediately respond to Page Six 's request for comment. Last month, the former Disney actor's ex-girlfriend, singer FKA Twigs, dropped her abuse lawsuit against him two months before the trial was set to begin in September. 'Committed to forging a constructive path forward, we have agreed to settle our case out of court,' Twigs and LaBeouf said in a joint statement to Page Six provided by their respective attorneys, Bryan Freedman and Shawn Holley. 'While the details of the settlement will remain private, we wish each other personal happiness, professional success and peace in the future,' the statement concluded In her December 2020 filing, the Cellophane singer, 37, accused LaBeouf of sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress during their year-long relationship. LaBeouf denied all of Twigs' allegations, even citing 'self-defence,' in court documents filed in February 2021. In his official response obtained by Page Six, he denied his ex 'sustained any injury or loss by reason of any act or omission' because of him.

Silence after Levi's drops American Eagle inspired ad
Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power has slammed lefty hypocrisy over the difference in reactions to Sydney Sweeney in comparison to Beyonce's jean ads. 'It is absolutely outrageous. When Sydney Sweeney took part in that American Eagle campaign, the left had a meltdown, there were women crying into their mobile phones, accusing her of Nazi propaganda,' Ms Power said. 'Now we see this ad, the Beyonce ad, and there's silence, there's no problem with it, just praise for it. 'So many people were just so happy to see that ad be so successful because it really declares that the end of woke culture, woke is dead.'

Denise Richards' daughter says she ‘almost got sex trafficked'
Denise Richards' eldest daughter Sami Sheen claims she 'almost got sex-trafficked' while hanging out with friends amid her mother's ongoing marital troubles. Sami took to TikTok to describe an incident that happened on Monday this week, Page Six reported. 'We were at this restaurant pretty late. We didn't leave until midnight and we were outside taking photos in the parking lot, we were there for five minutes,' she said in the clip. 'Out of nowhere, this man came up to us asking for money. 'I said, 'Sorry I don't have any cash on me'.' Despite her insistence she didn't have any cash to give him, she claims the suspicious man became 'persistent'. 'I'm like, 'Sorry, no' and he goes, 'OK have a good night,'' the OnlyFans star, 21, continued, adding that another man approached her and her friend as soon as she exited the first conversation. 'The second I saw this man I had the worst feeling in my stomach — like, get the f**k away from me right now,' she recalled. She said the man asked if she could speak Spanish among a series of other questions, but Sheen 'couldn't understand what he was saying'. 'Then he starts to reach into his back pocket and I reach into my purse and pull out my pepper spray, and I open that b***h, and he saw that, and he started to pull a card out,' Sheen said. At which point, Sheen and her friend 'immediately' ran from the scene and locked themselves in her car. The girls made it out safe, but Sheen said the ordeal left her feeling uneasy. As the friends 'debriefed' the situation on the ride home, she came to the conclusion that she felt the two men were 'working together'. After she looked through the photos, she realised 'the man was watching us the whole time, he was just staring at us'. She went on to include a photo of the man in question before she cautioned her followers to be 'even more aware' of their surroundings and to 'trust your gut' when they go out. 'I'm usually very aware of my surroundings and I didn't notice this man,' she added. 'Even if it was harmless, it's better to be safe than sorry even though I don't think he had good intentions at all.' Sheen's scary story time arrived around the same time Richards was spotted sporting an apparent black eye — days after her recent interaction with her estranged husband Aaron Phypers. Phypers, 52, filed for divorce from the Wild Things star on July 7 following an explosive Fourth of July argument. The former couple have been embroiled in a nasty public back-and-forth since. Richards, 54, was granted a temporary restraining order against her soon-to-be ex after she accused him of being physically abusive toward her. Phypers has denied Richards' allegations of abuse and has since accused her of having an addiction to Vicodin and alcohol. He also publicly accused her of having an affair with her Special Forces: World's Toughest Test co-star Rudy Reyes.
