Harry Potter reboot risks fan backlash over 'unexpected filming location'
Filming for the new Harry Potter reboot, which is being adapted for the small screen, is said to be underway, after the three main actors were announced last week Harry Potter reboot is said to be risking backlash from fans as the show films scenes in an "unexpected location". The HBO TV reboot is due to start filming in the Île de Sein off Brittany, despite the story being set in Britain. Producers have reportedly chosen the French location to set scenes for the hit where Hagrid appears to announce: "You're a wizard, Harry." However, the books detail that the hut is located on an island off Cornwall and not France. But, bosses are said to have chosen the different location to portray the iconic scene. However, it's been reported that some of the crew have found the choice amusing as they could've found a suitable place closer to home. The Sun reported that a TV insider said: "This caused a certain amount of amusement among the British crew who all agreed that they could have easily got windswept in virtually any part of the British Isles. They've been slightly bewildered by the fact they've actually gone to France to make a show which is so British — particularly since it's the first place they've gone to and they're doing key scenes there. "For fans it's likely to be a sign that with American producers running the show, it might not be as mindful of Harry Potter as a national treasure that shouldn't be tampered with." Around 30 people are said to be at Pointe du Raz on the west coast of Brittany and have been travelling by boat to the island each day. It's thought that there is a supposedly haunted 19th century lighthouse on the island which might be used as the hut in the TV series. The iconic Harry Potter franchise films were all made in the studio or on location in Britain. Locations such as London, Bath, Durham and the Scottish Highlands were used as filming locations. Warner Bros has invested millions in expanding its studio at Leavesden, near Watford for the filming on the TV reboot. This comes after it was announced last week which actors would be taking on the main three roles in the show - Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Scottish actor Dominic McLaughlin would be taking on the lead role previously played in the movies by Daniel Radcliffe. He will be working alongside fellow rising stars Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. Hagrid, which was previously played by late actor Robbie Coltrane, will now be taken over by Nick Frost instead. Albus Dumbledore will be played by actor John Lithgow will be the wizard school's headmaster Albus Dumbledore and Paul Whitehouse will appear as Hogwarts' caretaker Argus Filch.

Jack Draper's astounding net worth, Emma Raducanu admission and US model links
Jack Draper's astounding net worth, Emma Raducanu admission and US model links Jack Draper's match is being shown on TNT Sports. Jack Draper is back in action after two wins. (Image: (Photo by Alain JOCARD / AFP) ) Tennis star Jack Draper plays Joao Fonesca in the third round of the French Open this afternoon. Wimbledon is just around the corner and tennis' elite players are going head-to-head for a big cash prize at Roland Garros. The winners of the women's and men's singles will take home a stunning £2.13 million, with Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek coming in as defending champions. British number one Draper defeated Gael Monfils in a four-set clash on Thursday night and will play Fonesca at lunchtime on Saturday. Fonesca is just 18 years old and it's the first time he's ever reached round three of a Grand Slam event, having won his first two games in straight sets. The pair have already met on the courts, with Draper beating the Brazilian at Indian Wells back in March, where he went on to secure his first ATP Masters title. Draper v Fonesca will be the third match on Court Suzanne-Lenglen on Saturday, with world number one Jannik Sinner coming up against Jiri Lehecka before them, and Mirra Andreeva vs Yulia Putintseva kicking off proceedings at 10am. Depending on the length of those court battles, Draper might not play until 3pm. Here's everything you need to know about Draper ahead of his third-round match. Astounding According to BBN Times, Draper's net worth is £6million. Despite being only 23 years old, his rise to tennis stardom has been rapid, with his success on the court fuelling his bank balance. His prize money earnings are just over £5million, and in the Indian Wells Open alone, he took home just shy of £1million. He is sponsored by Nike and Dunlop, who supply his clothing and equipment. He is also an ambassador for Vodafone, who further enhance his financial standing. Love life and Emma Raducanu relationship Draper has spoken openly about dating in the tennis world. He has spoken about his preference for genuine connections instead of swiping on dating apps, and detailed exactly what he looks for in a partner. "I've been fortunate to forge a few genuinely strong connections with people. For me, what matters most is someone with ambition, their own purpose in life, who is kind, non-judgmental, and upholds strong values," he said. Rumours have circulated about Draper and fellow British tennis star Emma Raducanu, but both athletes have denied such talk, insisting their relationship exists purely on a friendship level. "She has always been there for me," Draper said to The Times about Raducanu. "I've always been there for her. She's extremely bubbly, very kind, very thoughtful, always giggling, really smart. A really, really, really good girl." American model KT Lordahl was reportedly present at multiple games of Draper's during the US Open last year, but Draper has not confirmed any of those rumours and maintains a closed-off personal life. CEO father Draper's father is Roger Draper - former chief executive of Sport England from 2003 to 2006. As well as holding that role, Roger was chief executive at the Lawn Tennis Association between 2006 and 2013, as well as spending two years as chief executive of rugby league club Warrington Wolves between 2015 and 2017. During his time with the LTA, Roger helped increase British Tennis memberships by a huge 500%, as well as launching mini-tennis programmes to inspire the next generation of players. Tennis star room-mate Draper has moved in with fellow tennis star Paul Jubb. Article continues below They live in southwest London together, with Draper having moved out of the family home in Surrey. Speaking about being more independent, Draper said: "I'm enjoying being able to wash my own clothes. There's been the odd shrinking disaster, but we're back on track." Room-mate Jubb is from York and is 25 years old. He turned professional in 2020 and so far earned £417,000 in prize money in doubles and singles tournaments. Jubb cut his teeth at South Carolina University from the age of 17, spending three years Stateside before making the jump to professionalism.
