After going into fashion Room 101, the frock that defined the noughties has successfully fought its way back - but many are fuming and are describing it as ' cheap and tacky'.

The bandage dress first hit the catwalk back in 1989 as the grand finale of Hervé Léger's runway show, but it wasn't until the likes of Victoria Beckham and other celebrities went crazy for the dresses in the 00s that they became mainstream.
Women were scrambling to get their hands on the high-street versions of the designer gowns, made with thick strips of fabric which work to 'bandage' your shape and flatten out problem areas.
And now, shoppers will again be able to get their hands on the iconic bandage dresses, as they are now back in House of CB.
The much-loved chain took to Instagram to share the exciting news, leaving many totally stunned.
Alongside the social media post showing off the new frocks, the chain penned: 'She's baaaaaack. Shop the birthday bandage collection now and be ready to serve some cake.'
According to those at House of CB, one of the 'most iconic party dresses is back for another dance'.
The heavyweight stretch fabric of these £169 Sculpt Midi Bandage Dresses, which are available in a number of different colours and styles, features unique tension properties that contour your body and create curves to envy.
The dresses are now elevated with even more definition around the bust and waistline, as well as flattering halter neck straps and a low scooped back that shows just the right amount of skin.
A fashionista from London named Christie, was gobsmacked to see the figure hugging frocks back in stores and took to social media to share the news with others.
Posting online, the content creator gave her followers a close-up look at the House of CB dresses and gasped: 'Bandage dresses are BACK??!!'

She then questioned: 'I fear I want one?'
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @ christievian, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 227,900 views, 23,000 likes and 215 comments.
But social media users were left divided by the return of bandage dresses - while some were overjoyed at the news, others slammed the frocks as 'cheap.'
One person said: 'Love it! I remember I bought my first bandage dress at 20 back in 2007.'

"Not only will you look very childish wearing such shoes, but people will also need to learn that they aren't the comfiest - blister plasters will come in handy."
Pedal pushers
"The cropped knee-grazing trouser were all the rage in the 1990s and 2000s, but this time the model fash pack are all over them - with both Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski wearing them out recently.
"The original IT girls, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot helped make the trousers - also called Capri pants - look effortlessly cool and glam.
"Somehow this time round they don't seem to be having that same effect."
Another added: 'I can live my early 2000 dreams.'
A third commented: 'YEEEEESSSS SORRY BUT I LOVE IT.'
However, at the same time, someone else sighed: 'I can't get behind it, I'm sorry.'
A second disappointed shopper slammed: 'They're trying to make 2016 happen but it's too early. Give it 10 years at least!! This isn't how vintage and nostalgia works…'
Not only this, but another expressed: 'They went away for a reason!'
Meanwhile, one woman penned: 'I can't shake the tacky vibes I get from them.'

Michael Sheen says prospects for actors from poorer backgrounds ‘quite scary'
Michael Sheen has warned the pathways that helped him break into acting have all but collapsed, as he said the 'bank of mum and dad' would be unable to support aspiring actors from poorer communities. The Bad Omens star, who grew up in the working class community of Port Talbot, said he had benefited from school support, youth theatres and grants that have since come under financial pressure or been abolished entirely. He said his journey was also aided by a supportive family and the knowledge that his home town had already produced acting royalty in Richard Burton and Sir Anthony Hopkins. However, he said the prospect for actors from underprivileged backgrounds now looked 'quite scary'. 'Having those school plays where the drama was happening in my school – then there was a youth theatre that was funded through the education department of the council, and then I got a grant to go to drama school,' said Sheen, who was speaking at an event opening the Edinburgh TV Festival. 'So just to get to the point of going to drama school, all of those things sort of had to be in place. All of those things have gone, essentially. 'It does worry me that for young people who might want to get into this – if you are relying on the bank of mum and dad – it's really tough to even just go and live in London, or move to wherever. That's why it's so important we get stuff out of London and around the country.' His comments come amid wider concern in the TV world about narrowing access. A crisis in the industry has left many established freelance workers out of a job as production has slowed down and the industry adapts to fast-changing consumption habits. It has led to fears that those without resources behind them will be the first forced out of the industry that already faces allegations of having too many privately educated executives. Sheen said there were schemes to support actors from all backgrounds, but he feared they came too late in life to help some talented children. He advocated a system more like football scouting, spotting talent at a younger age. 'It needs to be like football,' he said. 'You need to get them when they're six, seven years old – start supporting people much younger and help them, because a lot of people are just never going to get to the point where they get picked up in these sorts of programmes and projects.' Sheen said he was trying to address the issue with his new Welsh National Theatre, whose first production, Our Town, by the US playwright Thornton Wilder, has been put through a 'Welsh lens' by the Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies. Sheen said that he was now able to spend time helping his home community in Port Talbot thanks to his success as an actor. However, he revealed he did not have immediate success in Hollywood, initially finding himself spending 'most of my time sitting in diners, reading Stephen King novels and doing very little'. He said it was only when he played Tony Blair in the Channel 4 drama The Deal in 2003, which led to him playing the former prime minister again in The Queen three years later, that his Hollywood career took off. 'I've gone from sitting in diners reading Stephen King novels on my own completely, to then having a very different life and opening up all kinds of opportunities back here as well as over there – and suddenly having a bit of choice and all those kinds of things.'

The highly anticipated Harry Potter TV show has shared a first look at all the Weasley siblings. In May this year, the three lead child stars were finally announced after months of speculation - with Dominic playing protagonist Harry, Arabella Stanton as Hermoine Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. The young trio were selected from more than 30,000 actors who auditioned in a casting call last year. And now, the casting for Ron's siblings: Fred, George, Percy and Ginny has been revealed. Tristan Harland will star as Fred, Gabriel Harland as George, Ruari Spooner as Percy, and Gracie Cochrane as Ginny. On Tuesday, HBO released a photo of all the Weasley kids smiling for a fun selfie. In the Harry Potter films, the original Weasley siblings were played by several actors. James and Oliver Phelps played Fred and George Weasley, respectively. Rupert Grint portrayed Ron Weasley, and Bonnie Wright played Ginny Weasley. Additionally, Chris Rankin played Percy Weasley. Filming for the HBO program, which was first announced back in April 2023, is well and truly underway. It comes after original Harry Potter director Chris Columbus revealed a character he wants to appear in the HBO series after they were cut from the made it obvious which character he hoped the show would tackle, and that character is Peeves. Speaking about the films at a red carpet event for his new mystery film Thursday Night Murder Club, he told Screen Rant: 'I think the thing I think about mostly is Peeves. 'The character of Peeves, we shot sequences, we did not have time to render Peeves in a CGI way. So I'm anxious to see what they do with Peeves.' Peeves had a minor presence in the first books with pranks and insults, but took a more notable role when he and the other Hogwarts ghosts resisted the reign of Dolores Umbridge and later in the grand Battle of Hogwarts. However, the character played by comedian Rik Mayall was cut from the films as Warner Bros felt the movie was too long. As filming for the reboot is underway, one of the major questions is how it can top the hit movies.
