Oscar Pistorius' dad reveals rift with killer son because he DOESN'T accept disgraced Olympian murdered Reeva Steenkamp

THE dad of disgraced murderer Oscar Pistorius says the pair hardly speak anymore as he doesn't accept his son is a killer.
Former Olympic sprinter Pistorius shot dead girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in 2013 - but father Henke believes he was "full of fear" during his trial and accepted his jail sentence.

Henke has now publicly admitted in a candid interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored that his refusal to accept his son's guilt has created a rift in their relationship.
Pistorius hit Reeva, 29, with four bullets fired through the locked door of their bathroom in the early hours of Valentine's Day 2013.
After a round of appeals and challenges, Pistorius - dubbed the "Blade Runner" because of his carbon-fibre prosthetic legs - was sentenced to 13 years and five months for murder.
Pistorius, a six-time six Paralympic gold medallist, has always claimed the horrific shooting was a mistake.
He told the court he thought his model and law graduate partner was an intruder.
The sprinter was released after nine years back in January 2024.
He has since vanished from the public eye and is trying to live a quiet life alongside his rumoured new girlfriend.
But Henke has now told Piers Morgan's YouTube chat show: "I am already in trouble with Oscar as I'm sitting here, because I said too much.
"We don't [speak regularly] because he knows how I feel. To him, he's guilty of murder because of the process that he's gone through.
"The facts just do not support a finding of guilty of murder.
Oscar Pistorius FREED on parole nearly 11 years after murder of girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp
"I just think that he will feel later, to walk away after parole as a person guilty of manslaughter versus a person guilty of murder, two vastly big things, and Oscar is not guilty of murder.'
Pistorius was initially found guilty of culpable homicide, South Africa's equivalent of manslaughter, in court.
A year later, the Supreme Court overturned the ruling and found him guilty of murder.
Henke continued: 'Obviously, Oscar was full of fear. Oscar will one day tell his story.
"He is, at the moment, I'm sure, very sad and very sorry about what happened.
"I can't speak for him. He will speak for himself, but what happened is not what came out of the court."
Despite being freed from prison, Pistorius remains on parole.
He moved into his wealthy uncle's £2 million Pretoria home, and now relies on him for protection.
His tycoon uncle Arnold, who made his millions from property and tourism, hired armed guards with attack dogs, while his nephew lives in a cottage on the grounds.
Pistorius' sentence ends in 2029 and he is subject to certain conditions for life outside jail.
These include attending therapy for anger and 'gender-based violence issues".
Steenkamp family friend previously said Pistorius should not expect forgiveness and issued a stark warning to him.

Hit-and-run driver who mounted pavement and ploughed into girl, five, is released early from jail

A hit-and-run driver who mounted a pavement and ploughed into a five-year-old blissfully riding her scooter has been released early from jail. Casey Wilson was happily riding her scooter near her school in in Cardiff with her brother and mother when a speeding BMW struck her down. CCTV footage of the incident showed how cowardly driver, Kurtis Dwyer, careered across the busy road and running over the five-year-old, March last year. He shamelessly drove off after appearing to lose control and ploughing down little Casey on her pink scooter. Dwyer, 35, was sentenced to 14 months prison but has now been released after serving just two-and-a-half-months under an early release scheme on a 'home detention curfew'. Casey's mother Rachel Bancroft has since hit out as the scheme, branding it 'absolutely disgusting', adding how her daughter had been left traumatised by the ordeal. 'He literally took my daughter out from under her feet,' she said: 'I just think it's absolutely disgusting that he's out. Absolutely shocking. 'To think he'll be walking around in the summer now, with my kids in the park, how can I tell my little one that he's around now?. CCTV footage showed Dwyer overtake another car when he appeared to lose control and hurled across the road and hit Casey on her pink scooter 'I don't think anyone understands the mental trauma to my little girl,' she added: 'I just don't see how it's justified.' Dwyer was eligible for the early release scheme having less than six months left before his conditional release date. He will now be subject to a 'home detention curfew' and where a tag with 'strict licence conditions' according to the Ministry of Justice. A Ministry of Justice spokesperson said: 'Those who break the rules can be returned to prison.' Dwyer, who was known to the family, chose to confess the crime to little Casey's father, insisting he had lost control after dropping a cigarette and handed himself into police Judge Simon Mills at Cardiff Crown Court said it did not make a difference to the case whether he'd dropped a cigarette or not and it was 'miraculous' Casey did not suffer extremely serious injuries or worse. He added: 'You admitted to the probation officer that you saw the child and yet you drove off. You're then seen on CCTV making your way from the car in complete cowardice.' Judge Mills said Casey 'should be playing with friends and instead she is going to counselling' and that Dwyer had stolen 'one of life's joys' from her. At the time, Casey's mother said in a heartfelt statement: 'Casey left the incident with numerous bruises and scratches. There was an angel looking down on her that day. She was a very lucky but unlucky girl. 'Casey is five years old and the emotional impact on her has been severe. She has been living with PTSD since the incident and is in daily fear of any cars, crossings or the road in general. 'Before this incident happened she was a confident happy little girl and she never had any issues. Now she is glued to my hip constantly. 'One day I remember I pulled onto the drive and got out my car and a loud motorbike went passed the house and Casey was shaking, screaming and running in distress. 'To see my daughter like this was horrendous. I felt helpless as a mother and it is something I cannot put into words.'

BREAKING NEWS Bodies of three missing sisters found as police swoop on campsite in search of their 'murderer' father Travis Decker

The three missing sisters who vanished after a three-hour visit with their father have been found dead in Washington after days of frantic searching by authorities. Paityn, nine, Evelyn, eight, and Olivia Decker, five, were found dead on Monday after police swarmed around Rock Island Campground, according to the Wenatchee Police Department. Their father, Travis Decker - who they were last seen with and said to have been suffering mentally - is at large and police are looking for him. The father-of-three has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping. A SWAT team was called to the campground around 5pm yesterday and the area was shutdown between 7pm and 9pm. Decker, 32, a veteran, does not have permanent housing and is known for staying at hotels and campgrounds, police said. His ex-wife, the girls' mother, is particularly worried because he has 'really struggled since he left the military.' 'His mental health can be hard sometimes,' she told KIRO 7. The Wenatchee Police Department offered their 'sincere and deep heartfelt condolences,' to the family, Fox 13 Seattle reported. Suspicions that something had happened to the girls began last night after the Washington State Patrol dropped the amber alert, but no more information was given at the time. Authorities found Decker's truck around 3:45pm near Rock Island Campground off Icicle Road. While searching the area, the girls' bodies were found, but Decker was nowhere to be seen. Shortly after, a SWAT team was deployed to look for the father, who still remains missing. Travis Decker is described as 5'8" and 190 pounds, with black hair worn in a ponytail and brown eyes.
