Father of Kelly Clarkson's ex assistant speaks out saying Brittney Jones and Brandon Blackstock were 'soulmates'
The father of Kelly Clarkson 's former assistant Brittney Marie Jones, who was dating her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock before his death, claims they were 'soulmates.' Blackstock died from the skin cancer melanoma at age 48 nearly one week ago. Jones' dad broke his silence on the matter in a Facebook post that has since been made private. 'Yesterday we lost a good man, Brandon Blackstock, my daughter's soulmate, and I considered him my son,' he wrote on a now private post, seen by Page Six. 'My sincere condolences to Brittney Jones and family. We're sure going to miss your funny humor. R.I.P hoss!' Blackstock's online obituary, released on Tuesday, revealed that he had been in a relationship with Jones and was quietly building a new life with her in Montana, previously unknown to many fans. 'After more than 20 years in the music business, Brandon found his way back to the mountains and the cowboy way of life he always wanted to live,' the obituary read. 'He found a homestead and a love in Butte, Montana.' It went on: 'Brandon, along with his beautiful and loving partner in life and business, Brittney Marie Jones, started building a life, building companies, and working tirelessly to create Headwaters Livestock Auction and what will live on as his legacy, The Valley View Rodeo in Bozeman, Montana.' In a bombshell revelation, a December 2024 report on Blackstock and Jones' rodeo business listed Jones as Clarkson's 'former assistant.' A prior LinkedIn profile for Jones highlighted in the report reveals she served as an executive assistant to Brandon Blackstock as well as an assistant to Kelly Clarkson while Blackstock managed the singer. 'I successfully assistant managed day to day for artist, Kelly Clarkson under manager, Brandon Blackstock in Los Angeles for music and television,' the profile read, according to The Sun. 'After a change in management for Ms. Clarkson, I transitioned to Executive Assistant for Mr. Blackstock's cattle operation in Montana, where I currently run the office and handle administration work. 'I also currently fulfill personal assistant duties for Mr. Blackstock.' Jones' LinkedIn also identifies her as the Executive Assistant of V Bar V Cattle Co. LLC — formerly Vintage Valley Ranch — one of Blackstock's companies, further tying her to his post-divorce life in Montana. A representative for the family confirmed Blackstock's death in a statement on Thursday, August 7, which read: 'It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. 'Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. 'We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time.' In a statement shared online on Wednesday, August 6, Clarkson revealed a health-related issue with Blackstock forced her to postpone her Las Vegas residency. 'Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,' she wrote. 'While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them. 'I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding,' she concluded. The exes — who split in 2020 and finalized their divorce in 2022 — shared daughter River, 11, and son Remy, nine. In addition to Kelly and their kids, the talent manager is also survived by his pregnant daughter Savannah, 23, and son Seth with ex-wife Melissa Ashworth.

Morrisons shoppers spot GIANT versions of two iconic biscuits on shelves for just £2
The new biscuits have been compared to previous giant treats from another supermarket TAKE THE BISC Morrisons shoppers spot GIANT versions of two iconic biscuits on shelves for just £2 Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) BISCUIT lovers are losing their crumbs over a new supersized treat spotted on Morrisons shelves – and they're just £2 each. One savvy shopper clocked the giant goodies and raced to share the find on a foodie Facebook group. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 The new treat is available in Morrisons now and costs just £2 each Credit: Newsfood UK 2 The two giant biscuits are a new addition to the supermarket's food range Credit: Getty They wrote on Newfoodsuk: "Brand new Giant Caramelised Filled Biscuit & Giant Chocolate Filled Biscuit from Morrisons." The post went down a storm, racking up 1.4k reactions and 1.3k comments from fellow sweet-toothed fans. One joked: "About time they made a biscuit big enough to soak up the tea in a Sports Direct mug!" Another chipped in: "Or you could buy the giant biscuits from m and s and spread with caramel." But not everyone was impressed, with some branding the price a bit steep. "2 pound think that's a bit extreme tbh," wrote one user, while another fumed: "Think how many standard sized biscuits you can get for the same cost.... another Morrisons rip-off." Others were quick to point out there's more than one giant biscuit in town – warning shoppers: "Don't be missing out on trying this custard cream!" It comes hot on the heels of M&S causing a stir earlier this summer with its own monster bakes – giant versions of the legendary Custard Cream and Bourbon biscuits. From Percy Pigs to Colin the Caterpillar, M&S is no stranger to whipping shoppers into a frenzy, and these big bikkies were no exception. The nostalgic treats – priced at £3 – had customers rushing to the home baking aisle. Vodka to the Rescue: Morrisons' Unconventional Emergency Tactics Unlike their traditional counterparts, the M&S giants come without filling, encouraging shoppers to pimp them up at home. The supermarket urged fans to 'add layers of ice cream, sprinkles and even a touch of sauce, for a sensational treat' – or even use them in trifles or tiramisu. Social media lit up with excitement, with comments like "Big biscuit news!" and "We need" flooding in. Meanwhile, B&M shoppers are dashing to stores to bag a brand-new twist on a McVitie's classic – for just 85p. The biscuit giant has given one of its best-loved snacks a makeover with the launch of McVitie's Club Layers Orange. A lunchbox favourite for more than a century, the Club has been reimagined into a chocolate-coated wafer bar packed with punchy orange cream. The treat first landed exclusively in Spar on June 30, before rolling out to other retailers – including B&M – from July 21. Fans can expect the same chunky indulgence as the original, but with layers of crisp wafer, zesty cream and a thick milk chocolate coating.
