CM meets several delegations at his Raabita Office in Srinagar
The programme witnessed participation of several public delegations, representatives, and individuals from diverse sectors who apprised the Chief Minister of various pressing problems and concerns requiring his attention, an official spokesman said.
Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani was also present during the outreach programme.
Among the prominent delegations was one representing the residents of Saderkoot Payeen, Ajas area Bandipora, seeking the Chief Minister's intervention for the expeditious disbursement of compensation to Wular land dwellers affected by developmental works.
Another delegation raised the matter of the delayed release of withheld recommendations for Class IV posts, urging the CM for immediate redressal.
A deputation of Junior Anesthesia Assistants from the Health & Medical Education Department urged the finalization of the long-pending selection process.

'Today we pay tributes to the victims of follies of history : President on partition
New Delhi, Aug 14 (UNI) President Droupadi Murmu today described partition as a folly of history and said the pain inflicted on the country by the partition should not be forgotten. ''As we look back on the past, we must not forget the pain inflicted by the Partition of the country,'' she said in her address to the nation on the eve of 79th Independence Day. Pointing out that today the country observed the 'Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas' she said terrible violence was witnessed and millions were forced to relocate due to Partition. ''Today, we pay tributes to the victims of the follies of history,'' she added. She said August 15 is a date etched in the peoples' collective memory. During the long years of colonial rule, generations of Indians dreamt of the day of independence. Men and women, old and young, from all parts of the country, yearned to throw away the yoke of foreign rule. Their struggle was marked by robust optimism, which has continued to propel our progress since Independence too. Secondary tariffs could go up against India if things don't go well in Alaska : US Treasury Sec
New Delhi, Aug 14 (UNI) Unites States has warned of increasing secondary tariffs against India depending upon the outcome of the Alaska meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump tomorrow. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, in an interview with Bloomberg TV, said the decision would depend on the outcome of the Alaska meeting. "We've put secondary tariffs on Indians for buying Russian oil. And I could see, If things don't go well, then sanctions or secondary tariffs could go up," Bessent said in the interview yesterday. 'It looks like he may be ready to negotiate and we put secondary tariffs on India, on the Indians, for buying Russian oil. And I could see if things don't go well, then sanctions or secondary tariffs could go up,' he said. Asked what about China who are the 'main purchasers of Russian crude,' Bessent said he is not going to get ahead of the President (Trump) but the President is best at 'creating leverage for himself.' President Trump will make it clear to President Putin that all options are on the table and 'sanctions can go up or they can also be loosened.' 'They can have a definitive life.
