Apple Music gives Britain's monarch the aux

It turns out everyone likes to share their music suggestions, even monarchs. Apple Music has announced a new show called The King's Music Room, hosted by King Charles III at Buckingham Palace. Yes, we know you've been dying to discover the getting ready playlist he made for the coronation that cost taxpayers £72 million ($93 million).
The show's March 10 release coincides with Commonwealth Day and the playlist reportedly features artists from across continents — the release calls out artists such as Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue and Davido. "Throughout my life, music has meant a great deal to me," King CharIes III states during the introduction. "It has that remarkable ability to bring happy memories flooding back from the deepest recesses of our memory, to comfort us in times of sadness, and to take us to distant places. But perhaps, above all, it can lift our spirits to such a degree, and all the more so when it brings us together in celebration. In other words, it brings us joy." He'll also share his, sure to be fascinating, encounters with some of the musicians.
If you're dying to know what Britain's longest heir apparent listened to over the years while waiting his turn then tune in to The King's Music Room on Monday, March 10 at 6AM GMT. It will also air at additional times on Apple Music 1 and Apple Music Hits throughout music and Tuesday. Those looks into the King's soul are free, though Apple Music subscribers can access it at anytime.

Watch live: King celebrates official birthday with Trooping the Colour parade

Watch live as King Charles III celebrates his official birthday with the Trooping the Colour parade in London on Saturday, 14 June. His Majesty's milestone will see military pomp and pageantry will be on display in the centre of the capital. The event, also known as the King's Birthday Parade, will also pay tribute those killed in the Air India plane crash this week. Charles has requested a minute's silence be observed in tribute to the 241 passengers and crew who died, and others affected, when a Boeing 787 Dreamliner bound for Gatwick Airport crashed on Thursday in the Indian city of Ahmedabad. The head of state and senior royals riding in the ceremony will wear black armbands. On horseback and wearing the armbands will be the Royal Colonels – the Prince of Wales, Colonel of the Welsh Guards, the Princess Royal, Colonel Blues and Royals, and the Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel Scots Guards. The Queen, the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Edinburgh are likely to be among members of the royal family watching the event. Fans will hope Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will make an appearance as they did last year. Royals not taking part in the parade, and who normally watch events from the Duke of Wellington's former office, will not wear black armbands. The King requested amendments to the Trooping the Colour programme 'as a mark of respect for the lives lost, the families in mourning and all the communities affected by this awful tragedy," a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said. In 2017, the parade was held a few days after the Grenfell Tower fire and the loss of life was marked by a minute's silence, a decision taken by Queen Elizabeth II.

Apple Music Replay looks stunning in iOS 26

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, BGR may receive an affiliate commission. Apple Music is getting several new features in iOS 26. Alongside the revamped design with Apple's new Liquid Glass UI, it seems the company has finally figured out how to create a native Apple Music Replay experience on its music platform. This was first noted by X user Dylan. If you open Apple Music Replay in iOS 18, you'll see a different tab highlighting your musical goals for the month. In contrast, iOS 26 gives it a stunning new look, with everything blending together for a more integrated experience. Today's Top Deals Best deals: Tech, laptops, TVs, and more sales Best Ring Video Doorbell deals Memorial Day security camera deals: Reolink's unbeatable sale has prices from $29.98 When you open the Apple Music Replay card on the new Apple Music Home tab, you'll get a similar but improved experience. You can select the months and the year you want to see your Replay. What's interesting is that Apple is including information from the early Apple Music days, which for me means even the tunes I was rocking back in 2016. While the data might be limited in the early years, you can still compare how much you listened to an artist, song, or album from one year to the next. If you're using more recent data, such as 2023 or 2024, you can also get your Highlight Reel. Interestingly, the Highlight Reel experience still feels very similar to what you get on the web, but it's fair to assume Apple is preparing a more trend-driven annual Apple Music Replay for 2025. iOS 26 is also adding the following features to Apple Music: AutoMix: Apple Music is getting a DJ-style feature that seamlessly mixes one song into the next. This should improve on iOS 18's crossfade feature. Lyrics Translation: The lyrics translation feature helps you better understand your favorite foreign-language songs. Auto-pin Favorite Songs: One of the unannounced features is the ability to pin your favorite songs, artists, albums, or playlists to the top of your library. You can even long-press on an album, playlist, or artist to choose a Tap Action, such as 'Go to Album/Artist/Playlist,' 'Play,' or 'Shuffle.' Below, you can learn more about the other Apple Music features coming with iOS 26. Rivalry Ignites in the Music Video for New Single 'Don't Mess With Us' From ‘ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires'

BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--'Don't Mess With Us,' an all new high-energy music video and single, has been released from the upcoming highly anticipated Disney Channel Original Movie 'ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires.' The music video is available today on DisneyMusicVevo. The single is also available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and other digital platforms. 'ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires' — the latest installment of the music-fueled ZOMBIES franchise — premieres Thursday, July 10, at 7 p.m. EDT/PDT on Disney Channel and streams the next day, Friday, July 11, on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand. 'Don't Mess With Us' is performed by the ensemble cast of 'ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires,' featuring Milo Manheim, Meg Donnelly, Chandler Kinney, Kylee Russell, Freya Skye, Malachi Barton, Swayam Bhatia, Julian Lerner, and Mekonnen Knife, with choreography by Dondraico Johnson. A high-energy dance battle sparks between the Daywalkers and the Vampires — two rival monster factions from the neighboring towns of Sunnyside and Shadyside. The light side, led by Nova (Skye), and the night side, led by Victor (Barton), face off, as they begrudgingly share quarters at summer Camp Rayburn. Featuring nine brand-new original songs and two reprises of fan-favorite hits, the soundtrack for the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie 'ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires' is now available for pre-order, pre-add and pre-save from Walt Disney Records. The first single from the movie, 'The Place to Be,' is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and other digital platforms. Can't get enough ZOMBIES music? About 'ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires' A new adventure dawns for zombie/cheerleader power couple Zed (Manheim) and Addison (Donnelly) when their summer road trip takes an unexpected detour — landing them in the middle of a monster rivalry: Daywalkers vs. Vampires. Tensions flare when Zed and Addison find themselves acting as camp counselors between the two opposing supernatural factions. With help from Eliza (Russell) and Willa (Kinney), they must convince sworn enemies Nova (Skye), a radiant Daywalker, and Victor (Barton), a brooding Vampire, to try to unite their warring worlds before an even greater threat endangers them all.
