Troubled son of Michelin star chef Marco Pierre White steals £1,500 worth of Jellycat toys
The troubled son of Michelin star chef Marco Pierre White has admitted to smashing up an antique shop after stealing Jellycat toys worth £1,500.
Marco Pierre White Jr has been involved in a spate of burglaries and a decade of trouble. As reported by the Mirror, the former reality TV has now held his hands up to the raid in Westminster, London, on June 19.
The 30-year-old has struggled with drug addiction - and the latest charge comes after he pleaded guilty to burgling a tattoo shop in Somerset last year. It has been claimed White Jr caused over £40,000 worth of damage to the tattoo shop earlier this summer, an amount he disputes.
In court, prosecutor Ravinder Johal said that he destroyed four mounted crystals at the shop. White Jr burgled a deli in Kensington just weeks before, stealing a laptop, iPod, and a till.
He smashed his way into a house in Chelsea day later, causing £7,000 of damage to the front door of the property. And he stole £1,500 worth of Jellycat plush toys after breaking into a shop in Barnes, south west London, last month on July 21.
He appeared at Isleworth Crown Court, via video link, from HMP Wandsworth today. He admitted four counts of burglary as well as one count of criminal damage. The former reality TV star previously pleaded guilty to three counts of burglary at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court. He entered those pleas again today.
Graeme Logan, defending, said: "Marco disputes the £43,000 figure relating to criminal damage. The figure appears to be an amalgamation for property stolen and damage to the property. That figure is disputed. I ask for seven days to submit that plea. With the allegation of robbery on May 25, which Mr White denies, an alternative plea of theft will be offered."
Judge Edward Connell said: "There will be a hearing for that robbery charge at Isleworth Crown Court on September 2 this year. If the Crown does not accept it, a trial will be set for March 16 next year. I am going to adjourn your case for two weeks. You have pled guilty to serious offences both in the magistrates' court and today, and at some point you will have to be sentenced for that."
The former Celebrity Big Brother star had only been released from prison two months before burglary, and will be sentenced on 29 November after pleading guilty to one count of burglary.
His downfall began in 2016, just days after he was voted out of the Celebrity Big Brother house following shocking behaviour with his housemates, which prompted complaints from viewers and a formal warning. In one incident, he asked Laura Carter to 'choke him' as she straddled him on the sofa, and was reprimanded when she later complained to producers about his 'wandering hands'.
Days after being the first celebrity to be booted off the show, Marco Jr appeared in court after being stopped by police driving under the influence of cocaine. In January 2019, he was convicted and fined after unleashing a shocking tirade at police officers as they arrested him for being drunk and disorderly in a train station.
Seven months later, he was taken to a police station 'kicking and screaming' after smashing windows during a furious row with his chef dad Marco Sr, and in 2022, he was jailed for 18 months after being convicted of 14 offences including racially aggravated abuse, heroin possession and carrying a knife.

In May last year, he was arrested after burgling an upscale deli in Bath, and was captured on CCTV smashing the window with a champagne bottle. He stole £250 from the cafe, which was featured on the Netflix show Bridgerton, and was identified by police after his trousers fell down during his escape, revealing his distinctive tattoos on his legs and rear end.
The owner of the cafe, Jon Ison, claimed this was the second time Marco Jr had stolen from him, and told The Sun that he also stole money from the charity box that was on the counter next to the till. 'He probably thought he was in the clear but when he crawled back through the window he got his tracksuit caught on the frame and accidentally mooned his bare backside right at our CCTV cameras,' he said.
'The hilarious thing about this burglary is that we only knew it was him because his trousers got caught around his ankles and we could see his tattoos on his bum cheeks,' Jon added.
His legal woes didn't end there, as in August, he was sentenced to eight weeks in jail for stealing socks from a supermarket near his dad's four-star hotel The Rudloe near Bath. Marco Jr also burgled The Crown Inn in the picturesque city, and stole £2,000 worth of cigarettes.

Marco Pierre White's son, 30, is seen buying and smoking drugs on the street shortly before he was arrested for string of burglaries in photos that will break the celeb chef's heart
These are the photographs which will break Marco Pierre White 's heart. The 30-year-old addict son of the celebrity chef was seen last month openly buying and smoking drugs on the streets of London, shortly before being arrested for a string of burglaries. Troubled Marco Pierre White Junior on Wednesday admitted to a number of burglaries in a west London crime spree, including stealing £1,500 of Jellycat toys. He raided an antiques shop on June 19 this year in Westminster, central London, Isleworth Crown Court heard. Marco Jr appeared via video link from HMP Wandsworth, wearing a grey prison tracksuit. The ex-Celebrity Big Brother star pleaded guilty to burglary and criminal damage, but said he disputes the cost of the damage. On July 17 on Ladbroke Grove in the heart of Notting Hill, a photographer watched as Marco Jr cycled up to two men on an electric Lime bike and bought what appeared to be a rock of crack cocaine. He then proceeded to smoke the drug from a pipe on the pavement outside a newsagents. 'He clearly knew the guy who was selling the drugs very well,' said an onlooker. 'It was all done in a very relaxed manner and took about five minutes. 'They weren't the least bit furtive, it was only about 9pm and plenty of people were around. He's quite a familiar figure in the area, riding around on his bike.' In this week's court case, prosecutor Ravinder Johal said White wrecked four mounted crystals and the entrance door to the shop. On June 12, he burgled an Italian deli store in Kensington called La Piccola, stealing a laptop, tablet, iPod, and a till tray. Just three days later, he smashed his way into a house in Kensington and Chelsea, and stole two natural rock crystal formations, causing £7,775 worth of damage to the front door. A month later, on July 21, he broke into another store on Barnes High Street, south-west London, stealing £1,500 of Jellycat toys. Marco Jr, of no fixed address, admitted four counts of burglary and one count of criminal damage. He previously pleaded guilty to the three counts of burglary on June 15, June 12, and July 21, at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court, and those pleas were entered again today. He denied, however, one count of robbery, and is accused of stealing 26 bottles of personal hygiene products from a beauty store in Kensington and Chelsea on May 25 this year, to a value of £1,331. Graeme Logan, defending, said: 'Marco disputes the £43,000 figure relating to criminal damage. The figure appears to be an amalgamation for property stolen and damage to the property. 'That figure is disputed. I ask for seven days to submit that plea. 'With the allegation of robbery on May 25, which Mr White denies, an alternative plea of theft will be offered.' Judge Edward Connell said: 'There will be a hearing for that robbery charge at Isleworth Crown Court on September 2 this year. If the Crown does not accept it, a trial will be set for March 16 next year.' Judge Connell told White: 'I am going to adjourn your case for two weeks. You have pled guilty to serious offences both in the magistrates' court and today, and at some point you will have to be sentenced for that.' Marco Jr was remanded in custody and will be sentenced at a date to be fixed. The incident is the latest in a long list of confrontations with the law for the reality star. Last December, he avoided jail after being sentenced to a suspended 30-week prison sentence for a spate of burglaries in his hometown of Weston-super-Mare in Somerset. In 2016, he was spared jail for spending £2,500 on his ex-girlfriend's bank card. He bought goods that were traded to buy drugs before he was finally arrested in Bristol. Previous offences also include one count of using threatening abusive language in 2011, when he was a teenager, and being drunk in charge of a car in 2016. In 2019, he racially abused a police officer while he was 'drunk as a skunk' at the Cabin Bar pub in Paddington Station, west London. His longest sentence was handed down in 2022 when, aged 27, he pleaded guilty to 14 offences including carrying a knife and racial abuse, getting 18 months in prison. After being released, he vowed never to touch drugs again after spending more than £1million on rehab. He also revealed he had converted to Islam to help him 'stay clean' and reform after years of drug abuse, which he has said began at the age of just 13. In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail in 2023, he said: 'I have been in rehab 17 times and being in prison has made me realise that enough is enough. 'I have been in rehab all over America and in the UK and the only thing that has cured me is being banged up in a cell for 23 hours a day. 'I have realised how lucky I am and have been. I have seen all walks of life in prison and some people don't have a chance in life. I have had every opportunity and I have thrown them all away. 'I could have done anything I wanted to, but instead I did heroin and ended up in prison. I have been an idiot.' Marco Pierre White Snr, 63, who was the youngest ever chef to win three coveted Michelin stars, and trained among others including Gordon Ramsay, was contacted by the Daily Mail.
