Cali Prieskorn Was ‘Confident' About Husband Caden's NFL Draft Until She Learned 1 Shocking Rule

Yahoo24-03-2025

Cali Prieskorn felt ready for her husband Caden Prieskorn to be drafted into the NFL until she learned a surprising rule.
The TikTok star, 25, opened up about the rule with Allison Kuch on the Sunday Sports Club podcast on March 23 as she discussed how she and her husband — who plays tight end for the Ole Miss Rebels in Mississippi— are waiting to learn their next move as a family.
"When you get drafted, that doesn't mean you're on the team," she revealed.
"I was feeling so confident until I learned this," she explained, noting that initially, she thought they'd know where he would be located by May and could get started on finding a house.
However, she was shocked when her husband informed her that rosters don't officially come out until August, further delaying their plans.

Kuch, 30, recalled her own experience as an NFL WAG as her husband Issac Rochell was drafted, noting that she watched "other wives [and] girlfriends making their own decisions [about their living situation]."
"I was like, 'Why would any wife or girlfriend not wanna be living with their significant other?'" Kuch explained. "And then I'm like, 'Oh, they have kids.' If you get cut, 24 hours later, you're in a different team. It's not like fun and games where I'm just like, 'Oh, Vegas called, see you in Vegas.' [With] kids, it's way more intense."
Prieskorn — who shares a 3-year-old son named Mac and a 10-month-old daughter named Romy with Caden — agreed, noting that she wanted a "stable place where you can hang their clothes up in the closet."

"Things like that [are] so important to me," she continued. "So we decided to have a house in Oxford for now. Maybe we'll pick a new home one day, but Oxford is so home for us."
She revealed that she and her family plan to watch the NFL draft together in Caden's hometown of Michigan and that she and her kids plan to support him no matter how his career unfolds.
"I think the unknowns are very hard," she said. "He's projected to be a late-round pick or a free agent — which is borderline — and I'm almost like 'well, if you're gonna be a seventh round, you might as well let us pick where we go.' "

Steelers among worst in NFL in getting a lead and keeping it

Steelers among worst in NFL in getting a lead and keeping it One of the calling cards of a Pittsburgh Steelers team under head coach Mike Tomlin have been slow starts on offense. Steelers opening drives have been a running joke for years and no matter how much time the offense has to prepare for that first drive, it almost never yields points. This is why the notion of getting the lead first and keeping it for the entire game is so foreign to the Steelers. Meanwhile, the top teams in the NFL understand the importance of getting a lead and keeping it. Just look at these numbers presented by NFL data scientist extraordinaire Warren Sharp on social media. He grouped teams by how many wins each team had in 2024 where they never trailed. Pittsburgh had only two games last season out of their 10 wins were games where they didn't trail at some point. Meanwhile, Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, won seven games without ever trailing. 7 - GB, BAL, PHI6 - DET, HOU5 - BUF, WAS, TB, NO, MIN, CIN4 - KC, DEN, ARI, LAC, MIA3 - SEA, SF, CAR2 - IND, LAR, PIT, DAL, NE1 - CLE, TEN, JAX, ATL, NYJ0 - NYG, LV, CHI For up-to-date Steelers coverage, news and commentary, be sure to follow us on X @TheSteelersWire and give our Facebook page a like.

From Viral Ad To $8 Soap: How Sydney Sweeney Turned Fan Obsession Into A Marketing Goldmine

A limited-edition soap reportedly containing a small amount of Sydney Sweeney's bathwater will go on sale for $8 this week. The Emmy-nominated "Euphoria" star partnered with men's grooming brand Dr. Squatch to launch Sydney's Bathwater Bliss. The campaign originated from a Dr. Squatch advertisement featuring Sweeney in a bubble bath promoting the brand's natural body wash. Originally released in October, the video went viral and sparked a wave of social media memes and comments centered around the idea of her bathwater. 'You kept asking about my bathwater after the @drsquatch ad... so we kept it,' she wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday announcing the soap launch. The product's description markets it as blending the outdoors and Sweeney's bathtub, with ingredients like pine, Douglas fir, and a 'touch' of her bathwater labeled as one of nature's finest aphrodisiacs. The brand announced a limited run of 5,000 units of Sydney's Bathwater Bliss, set to go on sale on June 6. To build hype ahead of the release, Dr. Squatch is distributing 100 bars through a pre-launch Instagram giveaway contest, according to People magazine. Targeting Gen Z men, a key demographic for Dr. Squatch, the brand has heavily invested in TikTok advertising, spending $3.6 million in the first eight months of 2021, according to Marketing Dive. This campaign continues that trend, leveraging social media buzz and limited availability to generate anticipation ahead of the product's release. Trending: The launch of Sydney's Bathwater Bliss sparked mixed reactions across the internet. Reddit users debated the ethics and hygiene of using real bathwater in a commercial product, with threads questioning the limits of celebrity branding and personal fluid use in skincare. "Fans always joke about wanting my bath water... I was like, this is just such a cool way to have a conversation with the audience and give them what they want," Sweeney told GQ. She described the soap as having an outdoorsy scent of pine, earthy moss, and fir—also known as the brand's signature Morning Wood fragrance—mixed with some city bath water. "There's no playbook for turning Sydney Sweeney's actual bath water into a bar of soap," Dr. Squatch Senior Vice President of Global Marketing John Ludeke said in a statement to The New York Times. "But that's exactly why we did it." He added that the goal was to spark conversations about men's personal care campaign draws on a history of provocative celebrity product stunts that captured public attention. Gwyneth Paltrow's 2020 launch of the 'This Smells Like My Vagina' candle, made headlines and sold out quickly. In 2019, internet personality Belle Delphine generated over $90,000 in profits after selling jars of her so-called "GamerGirlBathWater' at $30 a piece. Sydney's Bathwater Bliss builds on past instances of bold celebrity branding—leveraging star power, limited supply, and unconventional marketing to spark viral interest and strong consumer demand.
