Media City Qatar receives AI Excellence Award at Google Cloud Summit Doha 2025
DOHA: Media City Qatar received the prestigious 'Innovative Partnership Driving AI Excellence Award'at the Google Cloud Summit Doha 2025, recognizing its leadership in AI-driven media innovation. As the event's Exclusive Media Partner, Media City Qatar advanced its vision to cultivate innovation and growth within Qatar's media industry.
The summit also provided a platform to facilitate key discussions on AI and media transformation, foster dialogue among media and technology leaders, and strengthen collaboration across both sectors.
Held at the Qatar National Convention Centre, the summit brought together more than 1,500 attendees, including Google Cloud partners, government officials, customers, and industry leaders, to explore the latest trends in AI, data, cloud, and security.

UDST receives Google Cloud Research Excellence Award for Cloud & infra AI
Tribune News Network Doha The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) has been honoured with the prestigious Google Cloud Research Excellence Award in Cloud and Infra AI at the Google Cloud Summit held in Doha. Ministry of Awqaf wins Digital Transformation Award at Google Cloud Summit Doha
QNA Doha The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has been honoured with the Digital Transformation Award as the Best Partner at the Google Cloud Summit Doha 2025, recognising its excellence in cloud computing and digital transformation. In a statement Saturday, the ministry noted that it was among the first government entities to adopt technological solutions and electronic transformation in its early stages, progressing toward full digital transformation by 2030 in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. The ministry highlighted that it is the first government entity to launch the advanced cybersecurity platform Cloud SecOps in collaboration with Google Cloud. This initiative establishes the ministry as the first in Qatar to utilize this platform for securing and storing data locally. The ministry stressed that this step will enhance the ministry's ability to detect threats and cyber intrusions, enabling rapid and effective responses while ensuring adherence to top global cybersecurity standards. Additionally, the ministry reaffirmed its commitment to utilizing cutting-edge technologies to safeguard data and accelerate its plans for comprehensive digital transformation, leveraging cloud services in a secure and efficient manner. The ministry's Director of the Human Resources Department and Vice President of the Business Development and Systems Committee Mohammed Hassan Al Malki welcomed the award as a testament to the ministry's achievements in digital transformation and cloud-based service automation for the public. He emphasized that this recognition reflects the peak of collaboration between the Ministry of Endowments, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and Google Cloud, a partnership that began in January 2024 through the Ministry of Communications. Al Mansour Group Leads Multilateral Green Growth Collaboration
His Excellency Sheikh Mansour bin Jabor bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of Al Mansour Group, announced that the Group has joined a multilateral alliance consisting of six leading global companies, including the renowned China Top 100 Business Forum (CBT100) and My Aion, a US-based technology and infrastructure firm. The alliance aims to launch a series of sustainable green projects, embracing a visionary approach that balances economic growth with the preservation of the environment and natural resources for present and future generations. His Excellency confirmed that Al Mansour Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to join this alliance on the sidelines of the Qatar Economic Forum, held from May 20 to 22 under the esteemed patronage of His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. He highlighted that the alliance plans to establish a dedicated facility within Qatar Free Zones to invest in sustainable urban development, one of the country's key priority sectors, with an initial investment of QR 10 billion, expected to grow and expand in the future. The country is expected to experience a substantial growth leap with the commencement of production in the first phase of the North Field expansion project, the largest gas project under construction in the world, starting mid-2026.
