Giants pitcher Sean Hjelle accused of ‘affairs' and ‘abuse' by wife
Giants pitcher Sean Hjelle's wife, Caroline, accused him of infidelity and 'abuse' in a post on TikTok.
On Friday night, Caroline Hjelle posted a video with the couple's two sons making the allegations against the 6-foot-11 right-hander.
'When my MLB husband abandons us on Mothers Day a week after this once I finally found out about his affairs and stopped putting up with his abuse so I've been raising two boys alone,' she wrote on TikTok.

In the caption, she wrote, 'Yeah I've had to be silent for too long about this' with Lorde's 'Man of the Year' — a song with references to cheating — playing over the video.
The post has garnered more than 3.4 million views on the platform as of Saturday afternoon.
The Giants addressed the accusations in a statement provided to The Post on Saturday.
'We are aware of these serious allegations,' a Giants spokesperson wrote. 'We have been in contact with MLB. These type of allegations fall under their jurisdiction and we won't be commenting further.'
Hjelle did not immediately reply when asked for comment through the Giants.

On April 8, she posted a video of her and her sons with text saying 'No one would know an hour ago I was devastated by findind [sic] out all the lies' with the hashtag divorce.
It's not clear if the two have filed for divorce.
The big leaguer was in the Giants' clubhouse on Saturday morning before the team's game against the Red Sox but did not address reporters, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
San Francisco manager Bob Melvin told reporters that Hjelle was available to pitch against Boston.
'Obviously we're aware of it,' Melvin said, according to the AP. 'He told me about it last night. We talked to MLB. At this point, it's in their jurisdiction right now so I really can't comment on it further.'

Mets Trade Report Surfaces After Paul Skenes News
Mets Trade Report Surfaces After Paul Skenes News originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The New York Mets entered Saturday riding a seven-game losing streak. This season-worst stretch has seen New York squander its lead atop the National League East standings, now sitting one game back of the Philadelphia Phillies. Advertisement Despite this recent skid, New York still ranks atop MLB with a 3.15 team ERA. That said, a team can never have too much pitching during the 162-game grind, which is why even mid-tier starters can be expensive at the trade deadline. This dynamic has aided in Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes being floated as a potential trade candidate. Due to their 30-47 record, the Pirates have been contacted by multiple general managers about the availability of their 23-year-old right-hander (via Jim Bowden of The Athletic). Pirates starting pitcher Paul Skenes (30).Kim Klement Neitzel-Imagn Images Several hypothetical trade ideas have suggested New York would need to deal its four best prospects to have a chance at landing Skenes. Despite the historic return Pittsburgh could get for its ace, Pirates general manager Ben Cherington went on record saying Skenes will not be dealt (via 93.7 The Fan). Advertisement Jon Heyman of the New York Post cited this news on Thursday when reporting on the Mets' trade deadline plans. "The Mets still lead MLB in starter ERA (2.95) but expect to be looking at starters at the deadline," he wrote. "... The Pirates and Braves say Paul Skenes and Chris Sale ($8 million team option) are going nowhere. So — beyond Sandy Alcantara, who has a 6.88 ERA — will any aces be available?" With Skenes off the market, Heyman floated Milwaukee Brewers starter Freddy Peralta as a potential option for the Mets, but mentioned it could be a long shot. "Mets baseball president David Stearns knows Peralta from his Milwaukee days," Heyman wrote. "But Peralta would take a haul, and Stearns' reputation is he won't trade the farm." Advertisement The news of Skenes being off the market certainly removes the loftiest potential trade target for the Mets. But as Heyman reported, that won't stop them from being active before the deadline. Red Sox Named Top Suitor for Impending $500M Free Agent
Red Sox Named Top Suitor for Impending $500M Free Agent originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Boston Red Sox are in a peculiar situation. After trading Rafael Devers, the team is back above .500, and after an 8-2 stretch in their last 10 games, are only 4.5 games behind the NL East lead. Reinforcements are also on the way to stabilize the offense. Wilyer Abreu returned on Friday, and third baseman Alex Bregman's ankle rehab is moving at a steady pace. Advertisement However, it is hard to ignore the All-Star size gap left by Devers, but with his $250 million off the books, Boston is in a position to be a prime free-agent destination in a class headlined by outfielder Kyle Tucker. On Friday, MLB Network's Jon Heyman mentioned the Red Sox as one of three potential suitors for Tucker's services. Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker (30)© Kamil Krzaczynski-Imagn Images "Yeah, I'm glad you mentioned the Red Sox," Heyman said. "That is a possibility, certainly. This guy is going to be a free agent at this point. We thought maybe there would be some discussions, maybe they tried, and it didn't work. The [Chicago] Cubs are a big market team, and they are doing well. They need to give it a try." Advertisement "That said, he's a free agent, he's only been there a year, and there are going to be other teams. Never count out the San Francisco Giants at this point. They look like an aggressive team. The Red Sox have a lot of outfielders, but we have heard of (outfielder Jarren) Duran possibly on the market. They are a possibility as well because they really have to do something to make up for (Rafael) Devers." Tucker is setting himself up for a massive payday this offseason. Slashing .284/.395/.908 this season with 13 home runs and 43 RBIs, the three-time All Star is projected to sign a $500 million contract, according to Spotrac. Although he is another left-handed hitting outfielder, the Red Sox could move another piece to clear space to make a run at Tucker and insert the superstar in the middle of their lineup.
