Friendship Subaru shares the love with local donations
Many of these partnerships have been ongoing for years. Crystal Foley told 59News that the Share the Love Campaign has provided valuable funding for the commission's Meals on Wheels campaign, which delivers meals directly to seniors who are homebound and unable to cook for themselves.'It's been a good working relationship with them, Foley said. 'They've really stepped up and helped our home delivery meal program out more than they'll ever know.'The Humane Society of Raleigh County likewise has used Subaru's donations to maintain critical services as part of the humane societies efforts to create a safe place for neglected animals.
'These funds will go toward vetting for the animals – making sure they're all up to date on their vaccines; food for them,' said Humane Society of Raleigh County Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator, Hannah Cottle. 'Without Subaru we really wouldn't be able to do what we do in the community.'
Friendship Subaru told 59News that the Share the Love campaign is the staff's favorite time of year and that they are always happy to be making a difference in the community. Those interested in contributing to the Raleigh County Commission on Aging or the Humane Society of Raleigh County are encouraged to stop by the organizations' Beckley locations or visit the RCCA and HSRC websites.
