Indian Pueblo Cultural Center holds ‘gourd and round' dance
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center (IPCC) celebrated American Indian Week with a traditional gourd and round dance on Sunday. The dance brings communities together to share traditional songs and stories from the pueblos of New Mexico, as well as allows other Indigenous peoples to share their culture.

'So we have a lot of visitors that come from all over the world, and here at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, we welcome them, we try to teach them about the culture here in New Mexico and the pueblos, but also welcoming them with open arms,' said Director of Guest Serivces with the Indian Pueblo Culture Cemter Monique Silva.
Sunday's event was free for museum members. The IPCC holds events like this one throughout the year.

Even though the child got the virus outside the county, people may have been exposed at the San Juan Regional Medical Center emergency room on May 26 at 10:30 a.m. or May 27 at 4:15 a.m. Exposure may have occurred at the medical center's Health Partners Pediatrics Clinic last week from 8:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday. 🔶 Researcher explains why earthquakes are rattling parts of New Mexico – While you may think earthquakes are a rarity in New Mexico, think again. Air Fiesta returns to Kirtland Air Force Base after six-year hiatus
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Kirtland Air Force Base is getting ready to host Air Fiesta 2025. The promised guests include a dynamic lineup of aerial demonstrations and static displays. Air Fiesta is returning after a six-year hiatus. The event takes place Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1. Gates open at 8 a.m., and the show closes at 5 p.m. Guests can see a lineup of performances by the U.S. Army Golden Knights, the F-16 Viper Demonstration Team, Shaw Air Force Base, a showcase from the 58th Special Operations Wing, and more. The event is free to attend. For civilians who don't have access to the base, Kirtland has set up a park-and-ride system to bring members of the public on base for the event. New Mexico State University ranks #17 in nation for animation programs
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KRQE) — New Mexico State University is ranking high on the list of best animation programs in the nation. According to the university, Animation Career Review evaluated more than 200 college programs across the US and ranked NMSU's animation and visual effects program as the 17th best in the nation.
