No. 1 College Basketball Recruit is Turning Heads With New Post
The top player in the college basketball class of 2025 is getting an early start with the Brigham Young Cougars.
After wrapping up a standout high school career at Utah Prep, five-star forward AJ Dybantsa committed to BYU, turning down offers from some of the biggest programs in the nation. Schools like Duke, North Carolina, and Kentucky had expressed serious interest, but Dybantsa chose to take his talents to Provo.

Dybantsa recently appeared in the McDonald's All-American Game, where his athleticism and court presence further validated his elite status. Standing at 6-foot-9, the versatile forward is already generating buzz ahead of his arrival.
His recent visit to BYU's campus was highlighted by a social media post that quickly made the rounds in college basketball circles, sending some major intrigue about what's to come.
He'll play under Kevin Young, who has openly stated his vision of transforming BYU into a program that regularly develops NBA talent. Dybantsa could be the first major piece of that puzzle.

In his first season at the helm, Young led the Cougars to a 26-10 record and a tie for third place in the Big 12 Conference. The season ended in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, where BYU fell to Alabama in a high-scoring affair, 113-88.

Dybantsa won't be the only new face joining the Cougars next season. Kennard Davis, Rob Wright, and Dominique Diomande have also committed to the program for the 2025–26 campaign.
Davis, a 6-foot-6 guard from Saint Louis, Missouri, previously played at Southern Illinois in the Missouri Valley Conference and brings a strong two-way skillset to the roster.
Wright transferred from Baylor, where he spent his freshman season under head coach Scott Drew. The 6-foot-1 guard originally came from Montverde Academy.
Diomande, a 6-foot-8 forward, spent one season in the Big Ten with the Washington Huskies. He committed to BYU just two days after entering the transfer portal, giving the Cougars another experienced frontcourt option.

With momentum from a strong tournament run and a promising recruiting class led by Dybantsa, BYU looks poised to take another leap in the 2025–26 season.

He led Florida to a national title while scoring 18.3 points per game and dishing out 4.2 assists per game. He also shot a strong 38.6% from three. For his efforts, Clayton was named a consensus All-American and the NCAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Player. Advertisement Not only would Clayton give the Clippers a scorer, but he'd also help with another issue. He'd give them another volume shooter. The Clippers were actually pretty efficient from the three-point line this past season. At 37.3%, they shot the seventh-best percentage in the league. However, they weren't getting shots up from outside as frequently as the rest of the league. Their 33.4 attempts per game were 29th of 30 teams. Clayton has no such problem. He attempted 7.8 threes per game this past season and 7.1 the year before. It's difficult to keep up in the NBA when you're consistently being outscored from behind the three-point line. Here's what to know about the Chanticleers. Auburn baseball passed its first test of the NCAA Tournament last weekend by beating Coastal Carolina, Stetson, and NC State in the Auburn Regional. This weekend, the Tigers will host its first-ever Super Regional at Plainsman Park against one of the hottest teams in college baseball, the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. Coastal Carolina was one of two teams from the Sun Belt Conference to host a regional last weekend, joining Southern Miss. Unlike the Golden Eagles, the Chanticleers emerged victorious from its regional by defeating Fairfield in game one, and closed the weekend by beating East Carolina twice. Chants first baseman Colby Thorndyke won the regional's MVP award after recording seven RBI on five hits over the weekend, with his most notable game coming against ECU in Saturday's winner's bracket game where he went 4-for-5 with six RBI, four coming from a grand slam in the 7th inning. Coastal Carolina is the last mid-major team to win the College World Series Coastal Carolina has made just one appearance in the College World Series, and the result could not have been better. The Chanticleers earned a seat at the 2016 College World Series championship series by winning three games in the loser's bracket, and went on to beat Arizona in the three-game series, 2-1. Coastal punched their tickets to Omaha by upsetting NC State in the Raleigh Regional and sweeping LSU in the Baton Rouge Super Regional. Coastal Carolina holds an impressive win streak The Chanticleers are one of the hottest teams in college baseball. Coastal carries a 21-game winning streak into this weekend's super regional, a streak that began on April 25 with an 11-inning win over Sun Belt rival James Madison in Virginia. In that span, the Chanticleers have beaten NCAA Regional hosts Clemson and Southern Miss, and swept the competition at last weekend's Conway Regional by beating Fairfield and East Carolina twice. Coastal Carolina will keep the Auburn defense on its toes As expected, the Chanticleers rank near the top in every major offensive category in the Sun Belt Conference. However, there is one stat that sets them apart from the rest of their home league. Coastal Carolina baserunners have stolen 106 bases this season, seven more than the second-place team, Louisiana. Sebastian Alexander and Wells Sykes rank in the Sun Belt's top in the category with 27 and 17 respectively. Cameron Flukey and Jacob Morrison will challenge the Auburn lineup Coastal Carolina has a pair of right-handed starting pitchers that will challenge the Tigers' bats.
