War 2 Final Day 1 Worldwide Advance: Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's movie puts up ordinary Rs 29 crore in pre-sales; Relies on word of mouth

War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, and starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani among others, has ended its global advance bookings on a very ordinary note for the opening day. The day 1 global advances for the movie are Rs 29 crore, with Rs 18 crore from India and Rs 11 crore from overseas. Coolie on the other hand has Rs 110 crore of advance for the opening day, meaning that the advances of War 2 for the opening day are just around a quarter of Coolie. War 2 Puts Up Day 1 Global Advances Of Rs 29 Crore; Relies On Word Of Mouth War 2 's weekend advances are also nothing spectacular. They are good in percentage terms compared to Coolie, but in real value, they are lower. War 2 relies heavily on positive word of mouth to sail through. When a film as big as War 2 has to rely on word of mouth, it is never good news. One would hope that the content of the movie lands, so that it can have a leggie run. War 2 Gears Up For A Rs 80 Crore Global Day 1 The day 1 Hindi figure looks to be in the Rs 27-28 crore net range. The Telugu version should be adding another Rs 22 crore net or so. A day 1 of Rs 50 crore net (Rs 60 crore gross) seems like the best case scenario for War 2. The international day 1 opening of War 2 is expected to be USD 2.3-2.5 million dollars (Rs 20 - 22 crore). This suggests a day 1 global opening of Rs 80 crore gross or so. The day 2 should certainly be bigger because of Independence Day. One would hope that the weekend of War 2 is close to Rs 350 crore, and then it sustains well to end up with a final number in the tune of Rs 600 crore worldwide, if not more. War 2 Final Hindi Advance Booking Report: Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR film ends pre-sales selling 155,000 tickets in top chains for opening day

War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, and starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani has ended its India presales on a decent note, for the Hindi version. The film's total ticket sales in top chains like PVRInox and Cinepolis for day 1 stand at 155,000 tickets. The bookings are better than Fighter, and the average ticket rate is higher too. An opening in the vicinity of Rs 27 crore net can be targetted and that would be a decent result, if not a great or exceptional result that is expected from a film as big as this. War 2 Closes Presales By Selling 155,000 Tickets In Top Chains For Day 1 In Hindi The bookings of War 2 are healthy for Independence day. If reports are favourable on the opening day, a Rs 50 crore plus day 2 can be fancied. An extended opening weekend of Rs 150 crore net or so is on the cards, if the content of the movie lands. That would also make the film, well in contention for a Rs 300 crore plus finish. The Telugu version of the movie will also be putting up solid collections for the first weekend if the word of mouth is favourable. The second highest grossing Spy Universe film is all but certain, in that case. Of course, the footfalls of Tiger Zinda Hai and Pathaan require more mass support, which does not seem likely based on the movie's pre-release units that incline more towards the class audiences. War 2 Has Found More Than Just A Stiff Rival In Coolie War 2's release rival Coolie is turning out to be a much bigger threat than it seemed to be. It was always going to lead in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, but for it to lead in Karnataka and Telangana, while coming really close to War 2 in Andhra Pradesh is a shocker. Even in North India, it now has enough capacity to put up over Rs 5 crore net for the Hindi version. In short, Coolie is definitely the most preferred movie choice on 14th of August, 2025, and it remains to be seen if War 2 can outdo Coolie on the Independence Day holiday. War 2 In Theatres War 2 plays in theatres in just a few hours now. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.

War 2 Final North America Premiere Advance Bookings: Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR starrer ends with reasonable USD 630k; Heads for a USD 900k start

War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, and starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani is all set for its release in North America today, the 13th of August, 2025. The movie's bookings are reasonable but for the massive stars associated with the film, it's ordinary and probably even underwhelming for most people. Based on the data provided by 'Venky Box Office', the Ayan Mukerji movie has sold tickets worth USD 630k in North America. War 2 Advance Bookings Close With USD 630K For Premieres; Gears Up For USD 900K Start The premiere day collections of War 2 are looking to be in the USD 900k vicinity. A USD 1 million premiere looks difficult, but reaching USD 1 million won't change the outlook of the film. Yes, a positive reception, to a large extent, will. Bollywood movies don't generally have premieres, but that can't be a reason for these lower than expected numbers. With a Tollywood star as big as Jr NTR in the parallel lead,, atleast USD 1.5 million was expected, if not the USD 2.6 million that Devara clocked. The wrong positioning and confused marketing can be blamed for the 'just ordinary' advances. It's only once the film hits theatres, will the view around the movie change, for the better, from the perspective of a Telugu movie watching audience. Coolie Emerges A Clear Favourite In Its Clash Against War 2 Coolie has taken a substantial lead over War 2, everywhere it has opened. In North America, it has already closed its advance with around USD 2.5 million for the premiere day. This means that the advance bookings of the movie are around 4 times as much as War 2, for the premieres. War 2 is expected to be much leggier than its release rival. Will the legs ensure it ends with higher collections than Coolie is to be seen. YRF Eyes A Big Hit Again, After Saiyaara YRF is running high on confidence after Saiyaara, and they will hope that War 2 becomes just as big a hit. The production house made over Rs 275 crore from the Mohit Suri directorial, and now it is to be seen if the Ayan Mukerji directorial can come close to it. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.
