Andor – Season 2 Episode 11'Who Else Knows?' Recap & Review
Episode 11 of Andor season 2 starts with Imperials showing up at the hospital and looking over the carnage. The current thinking here is that there were three attackers, working as a team to take out the soldiers and get to Luthen.
The evidence the ISB have obtained comes from the scale of attack and the fact that there's no witnesses either. Well, that is until they check the surveillance footage of the area.
The hospital director, Recklaw, is not happy. He hits out at the Empire, until he finds out that this is now a crime scene and obstructing said crime scene could go very badly for him. So naturally, he begrudgingly leaves the Empire to their devices.
All of this messiness is on Dedra though, who's interrogated by the Imperials and, in particular, Orson Krennic. Krennic believes should could be a mole and her connection to Jung is a problem, whom she now learns had security clearance to sniff around her personal files.
Krennic is livid, especially as they've found – among other classified files – two years worth of Jedha Working Group printouts. This thread has given Jung reason to talk to Luthen, but Dedra explains her actions.
She's loyal to the Empire through and through, bringing up how there's a Partisan spy mentioned within the Jedha read-outs which happens to be a valet for the local Moff. She questioned him and the guy, in turn, lead her to Luthen's store.
Dedra believes they need to go after Kleya next, given she too will know Luthen's secrets, but Krennic ignores her and keeps the woman in custody.
Over at the hospital, the ISB watch security footage of Kleya leaving, making her public enemy number 1. The noose is tightening around her, especially as the security forces trace every step.
While this is going on, Kleya manages to salvage her radio equipment, sending out a distress signal in morse code across to Yavin, needing assistance to be saved.
Over on Yavin, Wilmon is the one who receives the signal and he immediately lets Cassian know, who's currently hanging with K-S20 who has been patched up and playing cards.
Some of the rebels are concerned that this could be a trap and try to talk him around, but Andor refuses to listen and heads to the signal's origin. Unfortunately, the Empire also catch wind of the signal too, checking the broadcast frequency and closing in on Kleya's location.
Time is very much of the essence here, especially as stormtroopers track down the apartment, just as Andor touches down and heads out to get her. Andor gets there first, where Kleya tells him what she knows about the superweapon. He knows they can't stay here though, and encourages her to head out to Yavin.
Kleya isn't sure whether this is a good move though, and as they bicker back and forth, soldiers close in on their location.
The Episode Review
So the penultimate episode of Andor starts to deepen the ties, with Kleya sending out this distress signal so she can tell Andor and the others about the superweapon but only when they arrive. She's in a difficult spot here because she's Wanted across the planet and given the public warrant out for her, she's got no choice but to hang at the apartment, alone.
The one thing here that's handled really well though is the irony around Dedra's character. She's ultimately her own downfall, with the delivery of the Death Star plans moving to Jung then Luthen and Kleya. Given how she's the perfect product of the Empire – raised and born for this life and loyal through and through – it's quite funny to see her as the one responsible for its ultimate undoing.
Everything here is left wide open for the finale though, which promises to bridge the gap leading up to Rogue One.

Everything we know about the HBO Harry Potter series from cast to release date
Best have your wands at the ready because the upcoming HBO TV adaptation of Harry Potter is starting to take shape. It's been 14 years since the final part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows apparated onto the big screen and brought the film franchise to an end. A decade and a half later, this TV reboot is set to introduce a new generation of kids to the Wizarding World. It's a move that hasn't been without controversy, but HBO is confident the show will delight muggles across the globe. So confident in fact that they've already lined up big names like John Lithgow and Paapa Essied, as well as Sherlock's Louise Brealey and Andor's Anton Lesser. So with all that in mind, here is everything we know about the Harry Potter series, including the latest information on the release date. From Severus Snape to the Golden Trio, here are all of the actors currently confirmed for the Harry Potter TV reboot. John Lithgow was the first name to be attached to the Harry Potter series when he let slip he had been cast as Albus Dumbledore. He'll be playing the Hogwarts headmaster played by Richard Harris and Michael Gambon in the original films. 'It was not an easy decision because it's going to define me for the last chapter of my life, I'm afraid,' he previously told Screen Rant. 'But I'm very excited. Some wonderful people are turning their attention back to Harry Potter.' Paapa Essiedu has some big shoes to fill as Severus Snape, following on from the late, great Alan Rickman. There has been plenty of conversation around Essiedo too after his previously support of LGBTQ+ rights, which JK Rowling has said wouldn't impact his role despite 'beliefs that differ from her'. Away from Potter, he's best known for his roles in the likes of I May Destroy You, Gangs of London and Black Mirror. Stage and screen actress Janet McTeer has been cast as Minerva McGonnagal in the series. The role was originated by the late Dame Maggie Smith, but Janet will be hoping to put her own stamp on the role. Across film and TV, the Tony and Olivier Award-winning actress has appeared in the likes of Wuthering Heights, As You Like It, The Menu and Ozark. Finding the right Harry Potter is vital for the new series, and show bosses think they've done just that with Dominic McLaughlin. Daniel Radcliffe's successor has some acting experience, having appeared alongside Game of Thrones' Indira Varma in a Shakespearean production of Macbeth. He's also set to star in the ensemble cast for Sky film Grow, a comedy including Bridgerton's Golda Rosheuvel. Following in Emma Watson's footsteps as Hermione Granger is Arabella Stanton. She's no stranger to playing a clever clogs with magic powers, having portrayed Roald Dahl's character Matilda Wormwood on the West End. Last year, she appeared in Andrew Lloyd Webber's roller-skate musical Starlight Express as Control. Alastair Stout has been cast as Ron Weasley, rounding off the iconic young trio. Like Rupert Grint before him, Alastair is a true newcomer – thus far, he's only had a fleeting appearance in a Jersey Royal potato advert. Fans will be looking forward to seeing him bring the same cheeky charm to Ron as his predecessor, while putting his own stamp on the character. Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead star Nick Frost has the unenviable task of stepping into the late Robbie Coltrane's enormous Hagrid-sized boots. He'll be playing the beloved Hogwarts groundskeeper – and later professor – in the film, and he's promised he was 'never going to try' and imitate the late actor. 'I'm going to try and do something, not 'different'' I think you have to be respectful to the subject matter, but within that, there's scope for minutia,' he told Collider. 'I always read Hagrid as he's like a lovely, lost, violent, funny, warm child. I think the beauty of being able to do a book a season means I get to explore that a lot more, and I can't wait.' Draco Malfoy will be getting a new look after young actor Lox Pratt was cast in the role as the Slytherin bully. The news comes just after Tom Felton, who played the character in the original films, announced his return to the Harry Potter fold. Despite speculation that he would be playing his character's father in the series, Tom confirmed that he would be reprising his own role – in the Broadway stage production, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. 'Being a part of the Harry Potter films has been one of the greatest honours of my life,' he said in a statement. 'Joining this production will be a full-circle moment for me, because when I begin performances in Cursed Child this fall, I'll also be the exact age Draco is in the play.' Singer Johnny Flynn was announced as the new Lucius Malfoy, stepping into Jason Isaacs' very creepy shoes as the Malfoy patriarch. Viewers may recognise him from Holby City, Scrotall Recall (renamed Lovesick when it moved to Netflix from Channel 4), Operation Mincemeat, Emma, The Dig and Ripley on Netflix – playing Dickie Greenleaf opposite Andrew Scott. He is also a successful singer and songwriter, having released six studio albums. He also created the theme song for the comedy series The Detectorists. Katherine Parkinson, most known for her efforts as Jen in the IT Crowd, has been cast as Weasley matriarch Molly Weasley – previously played by Dame Julie Walters. She has been a staple of our screens for decades, thanks to stints in Doc Martin, Psychoville, In the Club, Here We Go and the Honourable Woman. Most recently, she popped up in acclaimed Disney+ series Rivals as Lizzie Vereker, alongside Danny Dyer, David Tennant, Alex Hassell, Aidan Turner and Victoria Smurfit. Petunia Dursley played a huge role in Harry's early years, with the youngster staying with his aunt and uncle in Privet Drive when the series began. After Fiona Shaw's scene-stealing efforts as his late mother's snooty sister, Bel Powley will be taking over the role in the adaptation. She previously appeared in Masters of the Air, and The Morning Show, as well as The Diary of a Teenage Girl on the big screen. Daniel Rigby is taking over from the late Richard Thomas Griffiths as Petunia's husband and equally nasty Vernon Dursley. His most recent roles include Tom Jones and Eric and Ernie – for which he was awarded a Bafta – while he is set to grace our screens in Amazon's Blade Runner 2099. Bertie Carvel was confirmed to be playing Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge, replacing Robert Hardy who took on the character on the big screen. He is one of the most notable actors from the cast so far, having appeared in The Crown, Dalgliesh, Doctor Foster, Sherlock, Waking the Dead and Babylon. Bertie also narrates Walking with Dinosaurs. The Gryffindor house is being further fleshed out after Leo Earley was cast in the role of Seamus Finnigan. Leo appears to be another newcomer to the spotlight, with Devon Murray having the role in the original franchise. Alessia Leoni has stepped into Shefali Chowdhury's robes as fellow Gryffindor Parvati Patil. It is currently not clear who will play Parvati's identical twin sister, Padma, with Shefali's close friend Afshan Azad landing the role in the franchise. Sienna Moosah will be joining the gang in the Gryffindor common room after being cast as Lavender Brown. Jessie Cave, Jennifer Smith and Kathleen Cauley were the stars who had portrayed the character in the original franchise. David Bradley left a lasting impression as sneering and grumbling Hogwarts caretaker Argus Filch. For the HBO series, Paul Whitehouse will be the one roaming the corridors with Mrs. Norris in hand. From The Fast Show and Gone Fishing to Alice in Wonderland, The Death of Stalin and Corpse Bride, he's already built an impressive legacy. Quirinus Quirrell only appears in the Philosopher's Stone, but he plays a vital role in the Harry Potter franchise. Getting the nervous and jittery Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher right is an important one, and Luke Thallon follows on from Ian Hart in taking on the role. It will mark his TV debut, although he's had plenty of experience on the West End in the likes of The Room, Family Voices and Patriots, while he reprise his role from the latter on Broadway. Rory Wilmot was most recently added to the cast as the infamous Neville Longbottom, played in the films by Matthew Lewis. The young Brit is understood to have answered the production's casting call. He already has a couple of credits under his belt, from one episode of FBI: International and in Out of the Dust, an upcoming TV show currently in post-production. Articulate Drama School & Agency, where Wilmot has trained in acting, shared a post on Facebook congratulating him. They wrote: 'Congratulations Rory! You're going to be a brilliant Neville Longbottom! So proud.' Amos Kitson has been cast as Harry's slightly horrid cousin Dudley – although fans will know he goes on to mellow in later books after a nasty encounter with the Dementors. This will be Kitson's first acting role. Mickey McAnulty, meanwhile, will be playing Dudley's sidekick, Piers Polkiss. Anton Lesser has been cast as the wand-seller Garrick Ollivander, fresh off his run on the revered Star Wars show Andor. Considered by many to be the best wandmaker in the Wizarding World, Ollivander was played by the late great John Hurt in the original films. Lesser is also known for his roles in Game of Thrones and The Crown, as well as in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Louise Brealey will take on Quidditch flying professor Madam Rolanda Hooch. The role was first played by the spikey-haired, husky-voiced Zoë Wanamaker. Brealey is best known as Molly Hooper in Sherlock and has most recently starred in the Bafta-winning dark comedy Such Brave Girls. Red hair and hand-me-down robes? It could only be the Weasleys! Yes, on August 19, 202,5 HBO Max shared a picture of five kids who have landed the role of a lifetime as The Burrow's beloved occupants. Joining the wizarding clan are Tristan Harland as Fred Weasley, Gabriel Harland as George Weasley, Ruari Spooner as Percy Weasley, and Gracie Cochrane as Ginny Weasley. Oh, and if you're wondering where Bill and Charlie are, don't worry, they're coming down the line… There are still so many key characters yet to be officially cast, with Lord Voldemort chief among them. There are a couple of names in the running, with reports suggesting Cillian Murphy could follow in Ralph Fiennes' footsteps, while Tom Hiddleston has also been linked to the role. Warner Bros TV boss Channing Dungey told Deadline in April that they were 'still weighing a couple of different options' for the villain. However, that's not stopped fans speculating that the dark lord may have been cast in secret. The first season of the Harry Potter TV show is scheduled for release in early 2027. Filming kicked off on July 14 at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, with the first season set to focus on the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. More Trending Several photos from the set have leaked online, including pictures of Nick Frost and Dominic McLaughlin on their way to Diagon Alley (we presume) and the Durseleys at London Zoo. Filming for the first season will continue until the middle of next year, with production on the second season set to begin soon after. HBO has confirmed that Harry Potter's first season will have eight episodes rather than the rumoured six (phew). View More » A version of this article was originally published on June 9. Got a story? How TV star Jussie Smollett's ‘race attack' hoax that rocked tinderbox US was exposed by clues including a sandwich bag
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) AS the star of hit drama Empire, Jussie Smollett was at the height of his fame in 2019 and was becoming a household name across the globe. But the actor's world came crashing down after he claimed he had been the victim of a hate crime, attacked by two white men in the street who punched and kicked him, using racial and homophobic slurs before tying a noose around his neck. 12 Jussie Smollett in hospital after alleging he was the victim of a racially-motivated attack Credit: Twitter 12 Jussie Smollett (centre) with Empire co-stars Terrence Howard, Bryshere Gray, Trai Byers and Taraji P. Henson Credit: Handout 12 Jussie was eventually jailed over the claims Credit: The Mega Agency 12 CCTV footage released by Chicago Police shows two 'people of interest' in the 'attack' Credit: AP:Associated Press The horrifying 'attack' sent shockwaves around the world, coming at a time of racially-charged tensions and claims of police corruption in Chicago, where Smollett alleged the incident took place, and other cities across America. Messages of support for the actor, now 43, flooded in from celebrities and even President Donald Trump, with cops put under huge pressure to solve the case. Josie Duffy Rice, a criminal justice journalist, says: 'You don't put a noose around anybody's neck for any other reason than they are black. Lynching is coming back, right? That was the undertone. It felt like a threat against anybody black.' Melissa Staples, former chief of detectives at Chicago Police, adds: 'That is something I have never come across in an investigation in 30 years. I thought it was very disturbing, I thought it was repulsive.' But police soon established an astonishing twist in the tale, suspecting that the attack had not happened at all and was in fact a hoax staged by Smollett himself and two friends. Now a new Netflix documentary breaks down how the scandal was exposed by a breadcrumb trail of clues including a sandwich bag, while those involved in the case - including Smollett, who astonishingly maintains his innocence - put forward their sides of the story. Smollett - who played pop star Jamal Lyon in Fox drama Empire - says: 'Those moments changed the trajectory of my entire life. "My story has never changed. My story has remained intact. "Trust me there have been people who have come to me and said 'just say that you did it'. "But why would I say that I did something if I didn't do it?' Jussie Smollett's conviction for fake hate attack overturned as court cites Bill Cosby case as example in shock reversal Hoax unravels Smollett had gone out in freezing temperatures in the middle of the night to get some food when he claimed he was attacked on Chicago's East Lower North Water Street on January 29, 2019. He returned to his apartment with the noose still around his neck and his friend called the police to report the hate crime. But alarm bells soon started to ring for the detectives in charge of the case. Eddie Johnson, former superintendent of Chicago Police, says: 'To think that I had two white guys attack a black man in this city was disgusting to me. But some things kind of struck me as a little odd. "We were going through the polar vortex at the time and I was thinking to myself, 'Who is out in the street with it being cold as s**t out there?' 'We had video of Jussie Smollett when he came back into his building after the crime had occurred so that's when we saw the Subway sandwich bag in his hand, that was in pristine condition. "And I'm like wait a minute, most victims of an assault like that, they are trying to get the heck out of dodge, because let's face it who says that these guys that assaulted him won't come back? "The last thing you are worried about is grabbing a sandwich bag, so that was a little odd to me. I believe he wanted to be the poster boy of activism for black people, for gay people or for marginalised people Bola 'Then there was the initial video of him in his apartment with the noose. He says to the officers, 'Yeah this is the noose that they used, I just want you all to see it', then he calmly takes it from around his neck and then rolls it up like it's a prop. "Now my family is from the Deep South in Alabama so I saw some things growing up. I don't know of many black people, if there was a noose around their neck, they are not going to leave it on there. They are going to treat it with disdain and disgust. That was a little cause for concern. Then we asked Jussie for his phone. He doesn't want to give it to us so of course that raised a lot of suspicion on our part.' Suspects puzzle Cops reviewed hours and hours of CCTV footage and found no evidence of an assault. Taxi records from the night of the attack identified two main suspects who were dropped off near the scene of the alleged crime - but puzzlingly, they were two black men, Ola and Bola Osundairo. And far from being total strangers to Jussie Smollett, they had both worked as extras on the Empire series - and one was his personal trainer. Then detectives discovered that the night after the incident the Osundairo brothers had flown to Nigeria. On their return cops were waiting to arrest them on the runway. 12 Abimbola 'Abel' (left) and Olabinjo 'Ola' Osundairo were found to be pals of Smollett Credit: Instagram 12 The pair were paid over $3,000 by Smollett 12 The actor outside the courthouse in 2019 Credit: Getty Images - Getty Police showed Smollett the men's pictures and he said it was impossible that they were his attackers. He says: 'I was friends with one brother, he was also working as my trainer. There was absolutely no reason whatsoever that I could think that they would do it.' But Jussie later gave a TV interview about his attack and identified two men pictured on CCTV as his attackers - unaware that police had IDed them as the Osundairo brothers. And when the pair's lawyer Gloria Rodriguez showed them the footage, they were furious and agreed to talk to the police. The brothers claimed that Jussie had received a threatening letter in the post a week before the attack, but he said the Empire film studio weren't taking it seriously. So he asked Bola - who he had become friends with - to beat him up. Bola says: 'I believe he wanted to be the poster boy of activism for black people, for gay people or for marginalised people.' Ola adds: 'I thought it was crazy but at the same time it was Hollywood. So I don't know, I'm a baby in it. This is what they do, this is how it goes.' Steroid cash claim Smollett paid the brothers $3,500 by cheque and they went ahead with the plan. Eddie Johnson says: 'Now the brothers had given us enough evidence to prove that he was not telling the truth. I was like we've got this dude now.' But Jussie had gone AWOL. Tina Glandian, attorney at Geragos and Geragos, a firm that has represented infamous stars such as Andrew Tate and Chris Brown, was drafted in by Jussie Smollett's employers at Fox. Police alleged that Smollett had sent himself the threatening letter, and then when that didn't get enough attention from Fox, he set up the staged attack in a bid to get a salary increase. And that is when the public turned on him. Smollett says: 'Eddie Johnson said things that are factually untrue. That I lied because I was dissatisfied with my pay on Empire. "Let me just break that down. My relationship with Fox was very good. I was making great money as an actor, and I was also now making great money as a director.' Smollett claims that he had paid Bola the $3,500 not to stage an attack, but to buy him an illegal herbal steroid from Nigeria to help him lose belly fat. 12 Former cop Eddie Johnson says Smollett's story didn't add up 12 The actor tells his side of the story in the show Credit: AP 12 CCTV images of the night of the attack Credit: © 2025 Netflix, Inc. Dropped from show Jussie Smollett was charged with filing a false police report and was written out of Empire. But after a meeting between his lawyers and the prosecutors, a deal was reached and the charges were dropped. Smollett says: 'My lawyer then comes to me, she says they are offering that if you forfeit your bond for $10,000 and we can show them that you are a good citizen, they will drop this and they will let this go. "If this continues, this will go on for at least two years, your career will stall and people will forget about you. And it was because of that that I made the decision and said we will do it. 'I can't say I was happy when the charges were dropped because I feel like the charges should never have been brought to begin with.' Meanwhile, the cops who had investigated the case were furious and a special prosecutor was brought in to look at it again. I thought it was crazy but at the same time it was Hollywood. So I don't know, I'm a baby in it. Ola Smollett was once again charged and faced trial. His lawyers claimed to have found two witnesses from the night of the attack - one a hotel security guard who had seen a white man in a balaclava running past, and one of Jussie's neighbours who saw a man with a piece of white rope hanging out of his jacket outside their apartment building. Despite this new evidence, he was found guilty and sentenced to 150 days in jail, although he served only six days behind bars after he launched an appeal. Jussie Smollett still maintains his innocence, with the Netflix documentary hearing claims he believes back up his version of events. A documentary maker and freelance journalist investigating the case claim CCTV they have seen of the suspects from the night of the alleged attack clearly shows that they were two white men, though this is disputed by others who appear in the film. In November last year, the Illinois Supreme Court overturned Smollett's conviction, saying the prosecutors could not go after him again after the original deal they made with him. The Truth About Jussie Smollett? Is on Netflix from August 22. 12 12
