Cheryl Tweedy's killer stalker turns up at house to try to meet her AGAIN: Convict is back in court after breaching restraining order

Daily Mail13 hours ago

Cheryl Tweedy's stalker who left her 'fearing for her life' has flouted his restraining order and turned up at her house again, it has been reported.
Convicted killer Daniel Bannister, 50, is said to have visited the Buckinghamshire home she shares with her son Bear, eight, again last week.
It is understood he was arrested in a swoop on his bail hostel in Brixton, south London, The Sun has reported.
Bannister yesterday appeared at Reading Magistrates' Court to plead guilty to one count of breaching his restraining order.
District judge Davinder Sandhu remanded the 50-year-old in custody and sent the case to the town's crown court for sentencing on September 23.
It comes after Bannister was jailed for just 16 weeks in March for showing up at Cheryl's property while she grieved for Liam Payne.
Bannister, who served a two-and-a-half-year sentence for manslaughter after kicking and punching a neighbour to death in 2012, has repeatedly tried to contact Cheryl.
He was said to have become 'fixated' with the former X Factor judge, 41, who was left 'fearing for her life' by his obsessive behaviour.
In an previous statement provided to the Crown Prosecution Service, Cheryl said Bannister's repeated attempts to contact her left her feeling 'violated'.
She also said she feared for the safety of her son.
High Wycombe Magistrate's Court was previously told Bannister turned up at Cheryl's home on three occasions in January, July and December of last year.
Tweedy told police she 'immediately panicked' when she spotted Bannister outside her home.
'I knew this was Daniel because I have had previous incidents where Daniel has come to my property,' she told police at the time.
'I was concerned he was looking for a way into the property.'
The singer told officers her son was due back from the cinema, and did not want him to see the stalker, the court heard.
'I want to protect my child from any harm.'
District judge Arvind Sharma imposed a new indefinite restraining order on Bannister in March meaning that he could never contact Cheryl.
He was banned from entering any building where he suspects Tweedy to be present and could not contact her on social media.
At a previous hearing, Prosecutor Datta Ryan said Cheryl had recognised Bannister as he stood outside her home in December having pressed the entry intercom.
She said she feared he was going to scale the gate and called her personal security.
Bannister did not manage to get into the grounds of the mansion in Buckinghamshire.
In her statement to the CPS Tweedy said:' I feared for my safety and my child's safety.
'It causes me to panic. He is not allowed to be at my home.'
In 2012, Bannister was jailed for manslaughter after he killed his neighbour Rajendra Patel at a YMCA hostel in Croydon where they both lived.
The court heard both men suffered from mental health problems, with Mr Patel diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.
The pair had a history of conflict after moving into adjacent rooms at the hostel for the homeless and vulnerable.
Bannister brutally punched and kicked Patel as he was walking towards a lift, breaking his ankle and nose and causing swelling to his face.
Patel died 15 days later after the assault from a pulmonary thromboembolism.
Jailing him, Judge Nicholas Price told Bannister he had not intended to cause serious injury or death but the assault was sustained.
He said he was not a danger to the public, but had no choice but impose a prison sentence.

Four people arrested after aircraft vandalised at RAF Brize Norton

Two men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of a terror offence after two aircraft were damaged at RAF Brize Norton, police have said. A second woman has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Counter Terrorism Policing South East said in a statement: "A 29-year-old woman of no fixed abode, and two men; aged 36 and 24, both from London, were arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism, contrary to Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000. "A 41-year-old woman, of no fixed abode, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. "The arrests, which took place yesterday [Thursday] in Newbury, Berkshire, and in London, are in connection with an incident in the early hours of [last] Friday during which damage was caused to two aircraft at RAF Brize Norton. "Those arrested are currently in police custody while enquiries are ongoing." Palestine Action posted video online claiming it was behind the vandalism at the Oxfordshire airbase last Friday. A security review was launched across the "whole defence estate" following the breach. Please refresh the page for the latest version.

Lucy Letby's life behind bars revealed – from £33-a-week to spend on chocolate & TWICE as many visits as other prisoners

LUCY Letby's enhanced prisoner status gives her a staggering £33 a week to spend on sweets and chocolate. The former nurse can also receive twice as many visits as other prisoners, after being fast-tracked from standard status. 5 5 5 Letby was convicted of killing seven babies and for attempting to murder another seven. She is now imprisoned in unit four of the only purpose-built private prison in the UK - HMP Bronzefield. Now an enhanced prisoner, Letby is given £33 a week to spend in the prison canteen where regular prisoners are only given £19.80. Some prisoners are bumped down to basic status as a punishment, which gives them only £5.50 per week. All prisoners are given status reviews every 28 days, but Letby has retained her enhanced position throughout her time at HMP Bronzefiled. A source told the MailOnline that the killer nurse was upgraded because of fears that she may be attacked by other inmates. The source said: ' Lucy is reserved and very quiet, she isn't really a problem with staff. 'It grates with officers though - she's committed the worst crimes possible and here she is on the enhanced unit with all the benefits that come with it. 'Again the real reason she is here is safety, she would be attacked on any other unit.' Letby reportedly has shared a cell with a former prison officer who was jailed after having sex with an inmate. I defend baby killers like Lucy Letby – bombshell new theory could FREE her but I know real truth… & it's NOT medical Linda De Sousa Abreu, Letby's cell mate, was fast-tracked to privileged status for her own protection since she is a former guard. Abreu worked at the famous prison HMP Wandsworth in London. Letby has been in police custody since November 2020 and was handed a 'whole life order' in August 2023. The inmate is the fourth woman in British history to be given no hope for parole after committing her string of chilling murders. Letby has been found to have targeted 17 babies whilst at large between June 2015 and June 2016. Her first confirmed victim was a boy born in June 2015, who, despite being born prematurely, was described as being "stable". Letby came on shift at 7.30pm that same day and, by 8.26pm, the boy's condition was "deteriorating rapidly". He died twenty minutes later after air was deliberately injected into his bloodstream. That boy's twin sister became ill just 28 hours later after "purple blotches" broke out across her body - symptoms shared with her brother. Thankfully, that baby survived. 5 However, another two babies died under the nurse's care that same month - one of which ingested air and the other being killed when air was injected into her bloodstream. More babies - including one in on 4 August and another on October 23 - died from incidents involving air while at Letby's hospital. Finally, Letby was found to have killed two more babies on June 23 and 24 2016. The killer nurse was arrested on July 3, 2018, and faced a three-year court battle before finally being jailed for life. She had been working at the Countess of Chester Hospital while at large. Despite her conviction, Letby insists that she is innocent and several high profile politicians have called for her case to be re-examined. Former health secretary Jeremy Hunt said that, although the victim's family must be at the 'forefront' of politician's minds, there is 'doubt on what actually happened'. He added: 'They are not conspiracy theories dredged up from far-flung reaches of the internet.' The former health secretary and Tory chancellor said that 14 paediatric specialists ruled that the deaths of the babies had been down to natural causes.
