What happens to Liam Payne's $50 million fortune, properties
Liam Payne's estate has been revealed after the pop star died without writing a will, leaving behind a fortune of £24.3 million ($A50.21 million). The former One Direction singer died in October at the age of 31 after falling from a third-floor balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The musician had been living in Florida with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, in the months leading up to his death, having relocated to a rented property in Wellington just a few weeks before his death, Realtor reports. According to BBC, Payne's ex-partner, Cheryl Tweedy, with whom he shared a son, Bear, 8, has been appointed as one of two administrators of his estate, alongside music industry lawyer Richard Bray. According to the outlet, official records indicate that Payne left behind 'money, property, and possessions' that are worth more than £24.3 million, all of which will now be managed by Tweedy and Bray, although they have limited authority and are not able to distribute any of the funds. Traditionally, if a person dies without a will — and they were not survived by a living spouse or civil partner — their fortune passes directly to their living children, although it is unclear whether the entirety of Payne's wealth will be inherited by his son. Payne never married, although Cassidy, whom he began dating in 2022, previously stated that they had planned to wed, explaining in an Instagram post that Payne gave her a note before he died in which he made clear his intention to propose. 'Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged & together forever 444,' she said the note read. According to an unnamed friend of the pop star, Payne had made arrangements to ensure that the bulk of his money would pass to his son. One insider told the Daily Mail: 'Liam had some very sensible people around him for a time and he adored Bear so much. 'He always wanted to do the right thing by him financially. It is a small consolation that Bear will never want for anything, that he will at least benefit from that.' Among Payne's vast fortune is a six-bedroom mansion in Buckinghamshire, just outside of London, which the singer is understood to have put on the market just a few weeks before his death. Per the Daily Mail, it's thought that the dwelling, which is known as Foxwood, may have found a buyer, because his estate had a limited Ad Colligenda Bona grant, which is typically put in place in order to allow for the sale of property. Payne purchased the sprawling mansion in 2021 in order to be closer to his son, who was living primarily with his mother. It is not known exactly how much Payne paid for the home; however, it was initially listed with a 'guide price' of $5.5 million. The home offered plenty of privacy, with the listing details describing it as being 'set back from' the nearest road and surrounded by stunning grounds, which included a private natural pond. 'The house offers light-filled and spacious accommodation with tasteful decor throughout,' the description reads. 'Upon entering the property, you are greeted by a large entrance hall with a cloakroom/shower room and stairs leading to the first floor. 'The drawing room features a triple aspect with French doors opening to the garden and an impressive gas fireplace. 'The family room has bi-folding doors to the hall, allowing it to be separated or integrated for entertaining. 'The kitchen/breakfast room is beautifully appointed with hand-painted units, granite countertops, opening to a stunning orangery with lovely garden views.' In addition to that property, Payne was also renting a home in Florida, which he shared with Cassidy, and which was recently put back on the rental market for $US9,000 ($A14,000) a month. The property features five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms and is located in a prominent gated community that boasts a number of different amenities for residents, including shopping facilities and equestrian centres.

Ashley Cole's reclusive new life with Cheryl lookalike wife – as pals reveal ghosts from ‘bad boy' past still haunt him
HE was once the bad boy of English football - terrorising the wings on the pitch before tearing it up in nightclubs. But with his playing days long behind him, former England and Chelsea ace Ashley Cole is living a very different life aged 44. 14 14 14 He's shunned the wild partying and paparazzi shots from his days with ex-wife Cheryl Tweedy in favour of quiet nights in with his current spouse Sharon Canu and their young family. Unlike another England legend and former teammate David Beckham, who recently turned 50 with a headline-making celebrity bash in London, Ashley is embracing living very much off-grid. A source close to the legendary left-back told The Sun: 'That period feels like another lifetime for Ashley, he's just moved on from it. 'Lots of his pals he used to hang around with during those partying days just don't see him now. 'A common question within his old friendship group is 'Does anyone speak to Ashley anymore?' 'He's just solely focusing on his family and coaching career.' The source added: 'It's highly unlikely he still communicates with Cheryl now. 'Why would he? Their lives aren't linked. 'It quietly irks him when his old misdemeanours are brought up, as he's a different person now and feels like that was a bygone era. 'He's got kids now and works with young players so it's a noise he could do without. 'The book is closed in regards that part of his life and it's all about the present and future.' Following his ill-fated four-year marriage to Cheryl and the very public fallout of their split in 2010, which was sparked by various cheating allegations, you couldn't blame Ashley for keeping his head down. He was barely linked with any other women following the divorce. Instead he let his football do the talking by winning the Champions League, Europa League and his record seventh FA Cup with Chelsea. He then went on to enjoy a stint in Italy with AC Roma and three seasons in the MLS with LA Galaxy, before finishing his career at Championship side Derby County under the management of ex-Chelsea and England teammate Frank Lampard. It was during his time in Italy he found love again with 31-year-old model Sharon Canu, a ringer for ex Cheryl. But there have been no glossy magazine deals, glitzy premiere appearances or cheesy Lottery campaigns like he experienced with Cheryl. 14 The couple share two children together - Jaxon, nine, and Grace, seven. And their profiles, in keeping with their relationship, are also kept low-key, featuring only occasionally on holiday Instagram snaps or events associated with Ashley's football achievements, including when he was inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame last April. Ashley wanted this relationship to be private and his only brushes with showbiz these days are his unlikely friendship with former Towie star Sam Faiers and her partner Paul Knightley, who is close pals with wife Sharon. The source explained: 'Sharon and Sam have been friends for years and live close by in Surrey. 'They're like any other mums whose kids are the same age, they've forged a strong friendship courtesy of play dates round each other's houses and the homes of other parents in their inner circle. 'Ashley and Paul met through them and got on, and they've been on holidays and breaks together. 'It's an unlikely set-up, but everyone gets on really well.' 14 Sam and Paul attended Ashley and Sharon's lavish Italian wedding in 2023, alongside other guests including Frank and Christine Lampard and ex-Chelsea skipper John Terry. They exchanged vows at the Hotel La Vecchia Posta in Ladispoli, on a clifftop overlooking the Mediterranean, with their children acting as bridesmaid and page boy. The only coverage of the nuptials came from social media, the big glossy mags deals snubbed again, and the bash - although typically lavish (he's an ex-Premier League footballer after all) - was a far cry from the extravagance of his £500,000 2006 wedding with Cheryl, dubbed the "showbiz wedding of the year". 14 In 2019, in a rare interview about his personal life, Ashley told The Telegraph how becoming a dad had changed his perspective on life. He said: 'I was a young, angry kid at the time, and now I've grown up and understand the things I did is life, it happens. I've learnt from it, it's made me a better person. It's made me a great dad. 'These are the things I focus on now, my kids and my girlfriend. It's a different me, I'm more of a family man now. 'You won't see me in nightclubs any more, you'll see me at a park pushing my kids.' And this newfound maturity aligns with his passion for coaching and aspirations to manage at the elite level. He's currently the assistant coach of England U21s alongside boss Lee Carsley, having previously worked under Lampard at Everton and another former England teammate Wayne Rooney during his brief spell in charge of Birmingham City. And according to ex-Chelsea and England teammate Joe Cole, Ashley is ready to take on a big managerial challenge, tipping him to land the vacant job at Glasgow Rangers. He said: 'I worked with him doing a bit of media in a foreign country. 'We had the afternoon off and we were sitting on the sunbeds, ordered a couple of drinks, and I'm thinking, 'This is a good job, Coley, I'm enjoying myself!' 'I'm watching the world go by, 90 degrees, and he just gets his laptop out and he's showing me throw-ins! 'The dedication… his dedication to football. We love him. But that would be perfect for him.' Just like his life out of the spotlight now. 14 14 14 14

Less than one in ten stalking cases ends up in court, official police figures reveal
LESS than one in ten stalking cases ends up in court, official police figures reveal. Statistics show the number of cases soared from 69,200 in 2020 to 131,200 last year. 1 But police charged someone in just 11,039 cases, with only 2,196 people being convicted of stalking. Of those just 663 were jailed. There were another 1,271 cases where the stalker was given a caution. And 939 offences ended with community resolution — where the suspect accepts responsibility and makes an apology. But in most cases, a total of 115,127, police threw in the towel as they could not track down the suspect or collect enough evidence. Another 287 were also scrapped as authorities felt they were not in the public interest. Stars including Cheryl Tweedy and Shirley Ballas have been victims of stalkers. The National Police Chiefs' Council said: 'We are working closely with the Home Office, College of Policing and other criminal justice partners to improve outcomes for victims and ensure a consistent response in stalking cases.'

Liam Payne's eight-year-old son Bear might not inherit his $32m fortune until he's 25 'to protect him'
Liam Payne 's son Bear could be blocked by his mother Cheryl Tweedy from inheriting the multi-million-dollar fortune left to him until he is at least 25, a source has claimed. It was revealed that the One Direction star, who fell to his death from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16, had died without a will. It's claimed that Tweedy wanted to 'protect Bear' with her reported decision to stop him receiving the $32million left to him by his dad. A source told The Sun: '[Tweedy] feels she wants Bear to be of an age where he can make informed decisions about the money. 'She wants him to still have ambition and the drive to succeed without the back-up of the money - and she's aware that people may want to befriend him because they are aware of his situation.' When someone dies without leaving a will, they're declared intestate - and if the person's an unmarried parent, as Payne was, the estate's shared between any kids. Court documents also revealed Payne had granted power of administration of his estate to Tweedy and it was revealed that she had consulted with trustees of Payne's estate about placing the money aside until Bear's old enough to make 'informed' financial decisions. The insider claimed Tweedy had since sought advice from trustees and decided the fortune would be invested until her son's of a 'right age' to start receiving it. Calling the fortune 'an incredible amount of money', the source said: 'Cheryl wants to do everything she can to protect Bear and make sure the money comes to him when the time is right.' Music lawyer Richard Bray was also named as an administrator of Payne's estate. It was previously revealed that Payne had put plans in place to ensure his son would 'never want for anything' in the event of his death. A source close to the late singer said: 'Liam had some very sensible people around him for a time and he adored Bear so much. He always wanted to do the right thing by him financially. 'It is a small consolation that Bear will never want for anything, that he will at least benefit from that.' Plans: Tweedy's said to have consulted with the trustees of Payne's estate to place the money aside until their son's old enough to make 'informed' financial decisions
