Why Choose One? Saweetie Wants ‘Boffum' in Hyphy New Video

Yahoo01-08-2025
With 'Boffum,' Saweetie delivered a quintessential Saweetie track — but also a stunning video. On Friday, as she released EP Hella Pressure, the rap queen shared the visual for her Young Buck-sampling single.
'The duality of Saweetie is 'Boffum.' I'm this and I'm that,' Saweetie tells Rolling Stone of the track. 'There's just always such a discourse online of people wondering where I'm from, what do I really act like… this and that. But it's just like what you see is really what you get.'

She adds: 'I'm a very complex individual, and it's because I've lived so many lives. So, because I've been placed in so many environments, it's produced a woman who can do a lot of things organically, naturally.'
The sexy video cuts between clips that show Saweetie's different sides — from getting her hair done in a small restroom to posing with an exotic doggo in front of a billion-dollar mansion. Other moments show her snacking on Hot Cheetos with the help of chopsticks, but also trying some butler-served oysters. She adds a taste of the Bay Area with clips of a dancer showing off his hyphy dance moves.
'My hair, nails? Both of 'em/Lady or a pimp? Both of 'em/You want the steak or the shrimp? Both of 'em,' she raps. 'Rapper, athlete, I need both of 'em/Don't you ask me, just get both of 'em.'
Saweetie says that 'Boffum' has been one of her best-received tracks by her fans at live shows. 'It's made me really proud to get those reactions,' she says. 'It feels right, and it feels like I'm doing something for the culture.'
'Boffum' is featured on her new EP, Hella Pressure, which includes songs such as 'Twinzz,' the opening track 'Pressure,' and 'Superstars,' alongside K-pop group Twice.

A DWTS Pro's Airport Fiasco Sends Fans Into a Frenzy: 'THIS IS GOLD'

A DWTS Pro's Airport Fiasco Sends Fans Into a Frenzy: 'THIS IS GOLD' originally appeared on Parade. From Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov to Emma Slater and Alan Bersten and beyond, Dancing With the Stars has quite a few fan-favorite couples, but husband-and-wife duo Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy are arguably the most hilarious of them all. If you didn't think so, Chmerkovskiy's latest TikTok video might just have you sold… Yesterday (August 10), the DWTS pro shared a TikTok video at the airport with his wife — fellow DWTS pro Johnson — going through security together. Although going through security at the airport is pretty standard, in the video, Johnson is seen getting evaluated by the TSA worker while Chmerkovskiy pans over to the screen. With a red square around her nether region, said screen shows that Johnson's crotch area is what needed further investigation. As if that whole airport fiasco wasn't funny enough, the caption is what sent fans into a frenzy, comprised of just two emojis: '💣 🐱' Needless to say, fans had a field day in the comment section. 'Okay Val, you win #1 caption,' one fan wrote, while another added, 'LMAO THE CAPTION??? 😭' A third exclaimed, "VAL I'M CACKLING," summing up the sentiment of a majority of viewers. Regardless of the setback, it is safe to say that both Chmerkovskiy and Johnson made it to their destination safely, with the latter posting an Instagram reel on the plane captioned, "OMG I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!! NYC ✈️ Paris," later in the evening. For all of the updates regarding their European travels, it is safe to say we will be keeping up with both parties on Instagram until further notice: @jennajohnson and @valentin. Flying With Delta? Crunchyroll Anime Is Coming to Your Flights

Crunchyroll and Delta Air Lines announced on Monday that they've partnered to offer anime as part of the airline's in-flight entertainment. The anime addition is set to arrive later this year, and Delta passengers will be able to stream content handpicked by Crunchyroll. SkyMiles members will receive an exclusive perk of a 24-hour free trial of the streaming service that can be used on the flight or after touching down. Crunchyroll will hit more than 169,000 seatback screens on Delta's aircraft, and this marks the first time the streamer has inked a deal with an airline. Delta currently offers a selection of streaming content from Paramount Plus, DirecTV and Spotify. While we don't know whether titles like Dan Da Dan, The Apothecary Diaries or Demon Slayer are guaranteed to be on flights, Crunchyroll said, "more details about what travelers can look forward to on their next flight will be shared closer to departure later this year." If you have SkyMiles, you'll be able to access the Crunchyroll app via your personal devices if you use Delta Sync Wi-Fi before and after traveling. That means you can check out anime movies and shows or play games during the trial period. The Sony-owned anime streaming service offers simulcasts of TV show episodes and a catalog that features more than 1,500 hours of content in multiple languages, including films, music videos and TV series.

Kelly Clarkson's Ex-Husband Brandon Blackstock Dead at 48

Kelly Clarkson's ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, died on Aug. 7 at the age of 48. The cause was melanoma, a type of skin cancer, the Silver Bow County Coroner Dan Hollis told Rolling Stone on Aug. 11. 'It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years,' Blackstock's family said in a statement shortly after his death. 'He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family.' The Blackstock family said they would not be commenting further about Blackstock's death. Coroner Hollis confirmed to Rolling Stone that Blackstock had a natural death after fighting melanoma. 'He passed away peacefully at his home in Butte, Montana, on August 7 under hospice care surrounded by his family,' he said. The news of Blackstock's death comes just a day after Clarkson postponed several of her Las Vegas residency shows to be 'fully present' with her family and kids while Blackstock dealt with his illness, which had not been made public. 'While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment,' she wrote on Instagram Wednesday. 'I need to be fully present for them.' Blackstock and Clarkson started dating in 2012. They married in 2013 and had two children: a daughter, River, born in 2014, and a son, Remington, born in 2016. Blackstock was also the former stepson of Reba McEntire, who was married to his father Narvel Blackstock at the time. When Clarkson and Brandon wed, McEntire said: 'To have my buddy as my daughter-in-law, I mean, who could ask for more?' Clarkson penned her song 'Piece by Piece' about her relationship with Blackstock. 'But piece by piece, he collected me up / Off the ground, where you abandoned things,' she sings on the 2015 title track. 'Piece by piece, he filled the holes that you burned in me.' Clarkson eventually filed for divorce in 2020, and it was finalized in 2022, after two years of court contention. Blackstock had served as Clarkson's manager after their marriage (he had previously managed Blake Shelton), an arrangement that caused legal turmoil following the end of their romantic relationship. Blackstock also had two children, Savannah and Seth, from a previous marriage. He became a grandfather in 2022 when his eldest child, Savannah, had a son named Lake. This story was updated on Aug. 11 at 2:40 p.m. ET to include Blackstock's exact cause of death.
