Steven Gerrard, 45, becomes a grandfather as his influencer daughter, Lilly, 21, welcomes a baby girl with lrish gangster's son

Daily Mail16-07-2025
Steven Gerrard 's daughter, Lilly-Ella, has welcomed her first child - a baby girl.
The influencer, 21, took to Instagram to share a black and white image of her boyfriend Lee Byrne, leaving the hospital whilst carrying their newborn in a car seat.
She simply captioned the photo, '@leebyrne8 2 becomes 3'.
The eldest child of the former England footballer announced she was expecting her first child in January.
Lilly has been in a relationship with Lee Byrne - the son of a jailed Irish gangster - since October 2022, and their romance made headlines when it first came to light.
Her father - former Liverpool legend Steven - has become a grandfather for the first time at just 45 years-old.
The former midfielder has four children with wife Alex - daughters Lilly, Lexie, 19, Lourdes, 14, and a son named Lio, eight.
Lilly announced her pregnancy news in January, sharing a photo of her positive pregnancy test and telling her 222,000 Instagram followers: 'Our little secret. The best news... mini us is on the way.'
Responding to his daughter's post, Gerrard wrote: 'We can't wait. Congratulations and we love you.'
Lilly's partner - with whom she was first linked in 2022 - is the son of Kinahan Cartel gangster Liam Byrne, who was issued a five and a half year prison sentence for a plot to stockpile a stash of machine guns.
Ipswich Crown Court heard how Byrne and colleague Shaun Kent planted a haul of automatic weapons in a bid to help Kavanagh dupe the authorities.
Kavanagh, Byrne's brother-in-law, was hoping to lead the National Crime Agency, Britain's FBI, to the guns in a bid to reduce his sentence in a drug conspiracy case.
The staggering haul, imported from Holland, included the Skorpion, the type of automatic weapon used to murder Ashley Dale and Ellie Edwards on Merseyside.
Liam's son Lee, celebrated the sentencing with a 'get in there' adding 'I love you da. See you soon.'
Lilly is the eldest of Gerrard's three children with wife Alex and regularly shares updates of her glamorous life on social media
And Lilly followed with a snap with her beau declaring her love for him.
The couple became an item after Lee moved into a gated community in Freshfield, one of Merseyside's more desirable post codes.
The Byrne and Gerrard families are said to have bonded since the young couple began dating, with Lee describing Alex Gerrard, Steven's stunning wife, as his second mum.
There is no suggestion that Lee or any member of the Gerrard family are involved in crime.
In January, MailOnline exclusively revealed that Byrne was released from prison three months after he was sentenced to five years in jail.
He was let out with an electronic tag as part of the Prime Minister's controversial Early Release Scheme to ease overcrowding in prisons, sources said at the time.
The Byrnes moved into a £1m house in the exclusive Freshfield area of Formby several years ago and quickly struck up a friendship with the Gerrard family who live nearby.
The source said: 'Lee and Lilly always wanted Liam to be at their wedding and it now appears their dream will come true. It will be a massive event but I am not sure if they want to have it in Merseyside or overseas.'
Lilly's dad has been out of work since leaving Saudi Arabian Pro League side Al-Ettifaq back at the turn of the year and has been on punditry duties for TNT Sport.
He and Alex and their younger children have since moved back to the UK after living in a luxury six-bedroom villa close to members of Bahrain's royal family and others from the country's elite.

Lindsay Lohan's sweet nod to original Freaky Friday detail

Showing now | Culture 00:32 Lindsay Lohan has harkened back to the original Freaky Friday movie in a clever red carpet fashion detail. The actress attended the London premiere of the upcoming film Freakier Friday on Thursday (31 July), where she stunned in a custom lavender metal mesh dress by Ludovic de Saint Sernin. The dress resembled a purple lace-trimmed two piece by cult 1990s fashion label Mandalay, which Lohan wore in the final scene of the 2003 film as her character performed at the wedding of her mother, played by Jamie Lee Curtis. The 39-year-old actress accessorised the look with a miniature guitar purse, a nod to the guitar her character Anna frequently plays throughout the body-swap movie. 03:47 04:43 04:42 06:32 12:25 17:05 03:25 07:30 14:11 12:18 30:24 16:08 17:41 18:22 13:43 12:41 05:35 08:02 06:42 05:23 07:08 05:03 09:53 07:25 07:40 08:56 13:49 10:57 07:53 19:31 04:07 11:19 07:30 07:54 05:23 05:35 09:47 06:28 06:23 07:35 08:03 11:54 08:21 06:38 07:25 04:31 07:30 03:34 17:05 03:51 04:18 06:26 04:30 03:35 03:45 07:34 02:03 03:22 02:15 02:22 02:21 01:43 01:42 01:45 10:44 03:44 07:42 09:22 06:11 07:50 06:21 02:19 10:42 06:27 07:23 06:35 More Behind The Headlines 12:18 11:50 09:03 13:07 00:59 00:24 00:43 00:34 01:27 01:35 00:30 00:29 00:50 00:30 00:08 02:21 00:33 00:20 00:41 01:24 00:49 00:33 01:00 00:31 00:54 01:08 01:35 00:47 01:04 00:51 00:13 01:07 00:46 01:04 00:59 01:04 03:29 03:07 03:07 03:24 01:36 00:42 01:26 00:32 00:31 02:00 00:40 00:58 04:23 04:26 01:01 01:07 15:55 16:33 16:06 15:01 15:16 01:16 00:36 00:48 01:08 More Saudi Green Initiative 01:12 01:23 01:24 Live

Taunton Flower Show attracts thousands of visitors

Thousands of people are expected to head to the country's longest-running flower show Flower Show, known as Chelsea of the West, was first held in 1831. The 147th edition of the event returned to Vivary Park on elaborate flower displays there will be also horse and dog shows, as well as BMX Greenslade, former Hestercombe gardener, said: "It's the Chelsea of the South West, I like to think. It's a great place to shop for plants you don't normally see." Ms Greenslade added: "Sometimes, there are people I live near in Taunton but would only bump in to here."The most wonderful thing about gardening is every day is a school day. There's so many things like climate change that change how we garden," she added. Show manager Beccy Fox said the reason the show has lasted for so long is all down to the volunteers."We have over 400 volunteers on site making this happen and that's from people who do it all year round to people who come along on the day," Ms Fox said."It's a testament to volunteering and community power."There's so much to do and so much horticultural knowledge. If you're looking for advice on your plants, our traders will have your back." One of the gardens on show is the St Margaret's show garden, which was built to mark 45 years of the Somerset-based hospice."Feeling secure, feeling comfortable, feeling like the garden is enclosed, feeling nestled were the words we used," Caroline Slocombe, gardener at the hospice, said."I'd like to get a gold medal, I'd like to win people's choice - we'll see."The show will close at 17:00 on Saturday.

Richard Madeley lookalike contest flyers baffle Stockport locals

The mystery behind a series of flyers advertising a Richard Madeley lookalike contest has caused a stir across a Greater Manchester borough. Hand-printed posters about the competition have been placed across Stockport and become the subject of speculation across social media, with prizes on offer for the top three lookalikes to the daytime TV presenter and former Manchester resident. It will take place at 11:30 BST on 17 August in Stockport's Alexandra Park, according to the flyers spotted in the same park on Saturday. Nicci Owen, who owns a coffee kiosk in the park, said the flyers had been "dotted across notice boards" but then mysteriously disappeared. She told BBC Radio Manchester: "No one saw who put them up but, obviously as soon as anyone saw it they were just so excited. But, is it real?"Madeley, from Essex, presented ITV's This Morning alongside his now-wife Judy Finnigan before the couple went on to host Richard & Judy from 2001 to now occasionally presents on ITV's breakfast programme Good Morning Britain.
