Production is in full swing for the much-anticipated sequel to the 2006 fashion classic, 'The Devil Wears Prada', with Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt reprising their iconic roles under the direction of David Frankel. Filming is currently taking place in New York City, and eagle-eyed fans have wasted no time capturing behind-the-scenes moments from the set, including one that's sent the internet into a frenzy.advertisementA recently surfaced video clip has fuelled speculation about a possible surprise appearance by 'Euphoria' star Sydney Sweeney. The 27-year-old actor was captured emerging from a trailer in Manhattan, not far from co-star Emily Blunt. Dressed down in an oversized hoodie and sweatpants, with her hood pulled low and an umbrella shielding her face, Sweeney's low-key presence has sparked rumours of a potential cameo or significant role in the sequel.Take a look at the video: (Video Credit: X/metgalacrave)
While no official confirmation has been released, fans have been quick to react. The film, scheduled to premiere on May 1, 2026, has already generated major online chatter.Social media has been flooded with mixed reactions to Sweeney's possible involvement. Supporters expressed excitement, with one user posting: 'Sydney and Emily in Prada 2?! What's going on?!' Another added: 'Thrilled that Sydney Sweeney joins 'The Devil Wears Prada 2'! The 2006 classic's legacy lives on with this 2026 sequel. Those NYC set shots promise a fresh yet stylish narrative. Will she outshine Miranda?'However, others were less enthused. One user bluntly wrote: 'Nobody wanted her,' while another added, 'Who TF said we wanted Sydney Sweeney on The Devil Wears Prada 2? Y'all are ruining everything. Pray it doesn't end up like And Just Like That.'Sweeney's appearance on set comes amid growing backlash over her recent American Eagle campaign, titled 'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans'. The ad, which plays on the word 'genes', has been criticised for evoking problematic beauty standards and for its suggestive visuals, which some have argued cater to the male gaze.In response, American Eagle issued a statement via Instagram reaffirming the campaign's intentions: 'The message is and always was about the jeans, her jeans, her story. Great jeans look good on everyone.'Despite the controversy, Sweeney's career shows no signs of slowing down. 'The Devil Wears Prada 2', written by Aline Brosh McKenna and helmed by returning director David Frankel, reunites the beloved original cast while introducing a new generation of characters, with Sweeney potentially among them. The countdown to May 2026 has officially begun.- Ends

Tom Holland and Zendaya spice up summer romance with Indian meal on Spider-Man: Brand New Day sets in England; See pics

Popular Hollywood actors Zendaya and Tom Holland have been making the most of their time together in England this summer, blending work with quiet moments away from the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Between long shooting days and packed filming schedules, the engaged couple have been spotted enjoying each other's company at parks, cafés, and cosy neighbourhood haunts. Tom Holland and Zendaya have been spending time in London In the latest pictures doing the rounds on social media, the pair were seen at a park in London's Gerrards Cross on Friday. Tom was filming a scene reportedly showing Peter Parker visiting Aunt May's grave, while Zendaya—whose MJ's story ended on an emotional, uncertain note in the last film—was there just to meet him. The day also included a stop at local Indian restaurant Caraway Café, which shared its excitement online: 'Homework can wait, Gerrards Cross can't! Thrilled to be visited by the amazing @tomholland2013 and the ever so beautiful @zendaya… a moment our team will always cherish!' This is just one of several sightings of the couple in recent weeks. Earlier this month, they were photographed walking through London's Richmond Park with their dogs—Zendaya's miniature schnauzer Noon and Tom's new pup Daphne. The two also enjoyed a coffee date in Scotland last month, and Holland was spotted visiting Zendaya on the set of Euphoria back in April. Their romance has been unfolding alongside a busy filming schedule. Tom has been shooting major action sequences for the £150 million Marvel sequel in Glasgow, which has been transformed into downtown New York for the production. The film, expected to release next year, is also rumoured to feature Stranger Things star Sadie Sink. Off screen, the couple's relationship continues to make headlines after news of their engagement earlier this year. The proposal took place quietly between Christmas and New Year at one of Zendaya's family homes, and was first revealed when she debuted her east-west 5-carat old mine cut diamond ring—estimated at $120,000—at the 2025 Golden Globes. Wedding plans, however, are on hold. 'The process hasn't even started yet,' her stylist Law Roach told E! News, pointing to Zendaya's stacked schedule, which includes Dune: Part Three, Euphoria season three, and The Odyssey, along with Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Jimmy Fallon Roasts Donald Trump Over India Tariffs, Jokes About Vladimir Putin And Sydney Sweeney

New Delhi: American comedian and host Jimmy Fallon had a field day roasting US President Donald Trump's recent tariff moves against India, Brazil and Canada. He mixed in some lighthearted jabs about Russian President Vladimir Putin and even took a playful dig at actress Sydney Sweeney amid the recent American Eagle backlash. In his monologue, the host said, 'Today, more of President Trump's tariffs hit over 90 countries, including Canada, Brazil, and India. The only places Trump didn't charge are North Korea and Epstein's island." The comment referenced the Wall Street Journal's recent exposé that connected Trump to the disgraced financier. According to a story published by the outlet, the president signed a letter to convicted sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein on his birthday. Trump, of course, denied sending the letter and filed a lawsuit against Rupert Murdoch, the Wall Street Journal, and NewsCorp. He alleged that the report was based on 'sources that don't even exist." Fallon further mentioned India, among other countries, which is facing a 50 per cent tariff from Trump. This puts India in the same boat as Brazil, which is already facing a 50% US tax. Talking about the repercussions of a trade war with Brazil, the host said, "Fifty per cent tariffs on Brazil will skyrocket prices for bananas, mangoes, and pineapples. Edible arrangements are safe, as long as you don't hike the price of cantaloupe and long toothpicks. Even toilet paper's going to cost more, and you know it's bad when people come out of the bathroom like, 'Hey, where's that long CVS receipt?'" Additionally, the comedian made fun of Trump's claim that he would set a deadline for Russia to stop the war in Ukraine, using the punchline, "Right under building a new ballroom to meet Sydney Sweeney." The Euphoria actress is currently facing flak for her latest American Eagle jeans ad, where the brand delivered a pun on 'genes' and 'jeans'. The choice of words in the ad commercial drew criticism for promoting Nazi propaganda and racism. Trump extended his support for Sydney and shared a post on X, calling her commercial "the hottest ad." Fallon is renowned for making satirical jibes at pop culture and celebrity gatherings. His late-night show is known for its whimsical theme and sporadic, humorous commentary on society and politics. Several celebrity guests, along with actress Priyanka Chopra, have made appearances as guests on his show.
