The Bad Company co-founder was part of the band from 1973 to 2016 but had to retire after suffering a stroke.
Mick Ralphs - who co-founded rock supergroup Bad Company - has sadly died aged 81.
The guitarist in the rock band he co-created in 1973 and remained a member until he suffered a stroke in 2016. Complications of this led to his death, confirmed on Bad Company's official website late last night Monday, June 23. It read: Ralphs, born in Stoke Lacy, Herefordshire, is "survived by the love of his life, Susie Chavasse, his two children, three step-children", as well as his bandmates Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke, reports the Mirror.

A statement from Rodgers, who was singer in the band, on the website said: "Our Mick has passed, my heart just hit the ground. He has left us with exceptional songs and memories. He was my friend, my songwriting partner, an amazing and versatile guitarist who had the greatest sense of humour.

"Our last conversation a few days ago we shared a laugh but it won't be our last. There are many memories of Mick that will create laughter. Condolences to everyone who loved him especially his one true love, Susie. I will see you in heaven."
Bad Company enjoyed massive success in the 1970s, both in the UK and in the US. Their debut single Can't Get Enough reached 15th in the UK charts in 1973, and also peaked at fifth in the US.
Ralphs would play a key part in the band's success for the next 40 years, making his last performance in London in 2016, days before suffering from the stroke. Speaking yesterday, drummer Kirke said: "He was a dear friend, a wonderful songwriter, and an exceptional guitarist. We will miss him deeply."
Rodgers and Kirke joined forces with Ralphs in the 1970s after they were in Free. Ralphs, who was guitarist in Mott the Hoople, persuaded his chums to come on board with the new project - and their strength grew. Bad Company are set to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame later this year.

The band's self-titled debut album included hits such as Can't Get Enough and Movin' On, and reached number three in the UK albums chart and went five-times platinum.
Bad Company later released the albums, Straight Shooter in 1975 and Run With The Pack, and both made it into the top five in the charts. They were also famous for their rock anthems, including Ready For Love, Rock Steady and the title track Bad Company.
Ralph's former project, Mott The Hoople, was created in the area in which he grew up - rural Herefordshire. Their 1972 song All The Young Dudes, penned by David Bowie, reached third in the UK charts and remains a glam rock anthem.
However Kirke told the Bob Lefsetz Podcast in 2023 that the stroke had left Ralphs paralysed down the left hand side of his body. He said: "He's in a nursing home in England. So he's really, his health is not good and certainly his playing days are over. So you know, we had a good run, and I think we're going to lay the old Bad Company to rest pretty soon."

Tasha Ghouri gives update on love life as she rules out dating shows

Strictly Come Dancing star Tasha Ghouri has revealed whether she would be open for a stint on Love Island All Stars or Celebs Go Dating after her split from Andrew Le Page Former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri has shared whether she'd be open to more celebrity dating shows. It comes following the news earlier this year that she had separated from Andrew Le Page, who she met on the ITV2 show. Talking about doing a presenting course at the TRIC Awards in London tonight, Strictly Come Dancing star Tasha, 26, said she'd rather focus on that side of her career. "It's not for me personally," Tasha said about the possibility of seeing her on Love Island: All Stars or Celebs Go Dating. ‌ She added: "I know people find love on these shows but my dating shows are closed. I'm going down a different path now. It's something I'm really passionate about. I'm happily single but I'm open to love. I'd love a family." ‌ Tasha rose to fame on Love Island in 2022, where she found love with former partner Andrew, now 30. The former couple, who reached the final of the show, later split after more than two and a half years together. The reality TV star was the first deaf contestant on the show and uses a cochlear implant to help her hear. She was born deaf and received the implant, which is a small electronic device, when she was five years old. Talking about her meteoric rise since the ITV2 show, she shared how she deals with the stress. "The past few years have been a whirlwind," she admits. "Sometimes I listen to music, other times I take my cochlear out and enjoy the silence. I'm very lucky to have that, it's a beautiful thing." The self confessed adrenaline junkie says she got something wild she needs to tick off her bucket list though. "I want to try ski diving," she said excitedly whilst at the awards ceremony. "I'd love to throw myself out of a plane." Tasha's comments at the TRIC Awards tonight come after a previous update on her personal life whilst at the BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises last month. She spoke to the Mirror on the red carpet of the event in May. ‌ At the time, Tasha told us that she was "doing okay" when asked about her split from Andrew. She shared whilst on the red carpet of that event just over a month ago: "You know, break ups aren't easy for anybody to go through." She went on to say that she looks back on the relationship in a positive way. Tasha said: "I had a great two and a half years with Andrew. I look back with a positive smile on my face because we had great memories together." ‌ Tasha further commented whilst a guest at the BAFTAs: "Sometimes it just doesn't work out and that's all that happened and I wish him the best. I'm just moving forward now." She said at the time that her "dating book is closed for now" and dismissed the prospect of doing a show like Celebs Go Dating. Instead, she said on the red carpet last month that her focus was on herself for the time being.

Bobby Sherman dead after cancer battle as heartbroken wife leads tributes

Bobby Sherman has died, aged 81, following his battle with cancer. Former teen idol Bobby Sherman has died, aged 81, as tributes flood in after his battle with cancer. Bobby rose to fame in the 1960s, including through his role on ABC series Here Come the Brides. He starred as Jeremy Bolt on the Western show, which ran from 1968 to 1970. The role came after he was a house singer on Shindig!. ‌ Over the course of those two decades, Bobby also released music, including singles such as Little Woman. He's also known for songs like Julie, Do Ya Love Me and Easy Come, Easy Go. ‌ The news of Bobby's death was announced today. It comes after it was announced in March that he had been diagnosed with stage four cancer. He's survived by his wife Brigitte Poublon Sherman, two sons, Tyler and Christopher, and six grandchildren, reports the Mirror. His wife Brigitte and pal John Stamos paid a joint tribute to him earlier. John wrote: "From one ex teen idol, to another - rest in peace Bobby Sherman." The joint post then continued with a message from Brigitte. It read: "It is with the heaviest heart that I share the passing of my beloved husband, Bobby Sherman. " Bobby left this world holding my hand - just as he held up our life with love, courage, and unwavering grace through all 29 beautiful years of marriage. ‌ "I was his Cinderella, and he was my prince charming. Even in his final days, he stayed strong for me. That's who Bobby was - brave, gentle, and full of light." Brigitte continued: "As he rested, I read him fan letters from all over the world - words of love and gratitude that lifted his spirits and reminded him of how deeply he was cherished. He soaked up every word with that familiar sparkle in his eye. "And yes, he still found time to crack well-timed jokes - Bobby had a wonderful, wicked sense of humour. It never left him. He could light up a room with a look, a quip, or one of his classic, one-liners." ‌ She added that he "brought joy to millions" through his music as well as his "beloved" role in Here Come the Brides. Brigitte said that to Bobby was "something much more" to those who "truly knew him" though. Bobby's wife described him as a "man of service," writing that he traded sold-out concerts and magazine covers to become an EMT and a trainer with the LAPD later in his life. She said: "He saved lives. He showed us what real heroism looks like—quiet, selfless, and deeply human." She said: "He lived with integrity, gave without hesitation, and loved with his whole heart. And though our family feels his loss profoundly, we also feel the warmth of his legacy - his voice, his laughter, his music, his mission. Thank you to every fan who ever sang along, who ever wrote a letter, who ever sent love his way. He felt it. Rest gently, my love."
