Hundreds of organizations benefit as part of the Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program
BOSTON, June 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) announced today the total funds raised through the 2025 Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America reached a record $50.4 million -- surpassing last year's single-year record of $45.7 million.
This year's $50.4 million total combines funds raised through the 176 non-profit organizations in the Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program, as well as other donations and fundraising from race participants. Total charitable fundraising since the official charity program's inception in 1989 now stands at over $600 million.
'Every year, participants and community members raise the bar and elevate the fundraising impact for meaningful causes throughout the community,' said Nicole Juri, Director of Development for the B.A.A. 'Their uplifting effect extends well beyond the 26.2-mile racecourse of the Boston Marathon. Athletes take pride in adding meaning to every step of their marathon journey, and together set new records in 2025.'
Bank of America amplified fundraising runner stories through the My Marathoner campaign, showcasing the perseverance and determination of athletes who are part of the Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program.
'The power of the Boston Marathon is evidenced by its positive impact on hundreds of organizations and the causes they support, and the hundreds of thousands of people who benefit from the good work they do every day,' said David Tyrie, President, Marketing, Digital and Specialized Consumer Client Solutions at Bank of America. 'The fundraising total shows anything is possible when athletes from around the world, volunteers, local businesses, supporters and many more unite in the spirit of determination, selflessness and giving.'
The Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program comprises nearly 10% of the Boston Marathon field size, with selected organizations utilizing their entries to recruit athletes who pledge to raise funds for their cause. A full list of organizations who were part of the 129th Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America can be found at Charity Program on the B.A.A. website.
To further support participants' fundraising efforts, Boston Marathon Giving Day took place on March 20 – just over one month out from race day – where incentives were offered throughout the day. A single-day record $1.87 million was raised through this year's Boston Marathon Giving Day. In addition, 2018 Boston Marathon champion Des Linden led a run to build momentum and encouragement for fundraising runners and Bank of America employees.
The B.A.A. had its own team as part of the official charity program, raising funds to support the organization's mission of promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports, especially running. The B.A.A. Gives Back Marathon Team raised more than $384,000 for the B.A.A.'s year-round youth and community programing, which includes more than a dozen events geared toward supporting runners at all points on their running journey. In addition, the inaugural B.A.A. Climate Crew team raised $83,000 geared towards the Boston Marathon's ongoing sustainability initiatives.

Deutsche Bank Considers Stablecoin or Joining Industry-Led Initiative, Exec Says

Deutsche Bank is studying stablecoins and tokenized deposits as part of its growing digital assets strategy, joining other major banks exploring blockchain infrastructure for payments and settlement. The bank is considering whether to issue its own stablecoin or join a broader industry initiative, Bloomberg reported, citing Sabih Behzad, Deutsche Bank's head of digital assets and currencies transformation. It's also weighing the development of a tokenized deposit system aimed at making payments more efficient, according to the report. Major banks in the U.S. are currently weighing the launch of a joint stablecoin in a bid to fend off competition from the cryptocurrency space. These reportedly include heavyweights like JPMorgan Chase (JPM), Bank of America (BAC), Citigroup (C) and Wells Fargo (WFC). Regulatory clarity in the European Union and pending stablecoin legislation in the U.S. have helped accelerate stablecoin adoption. Behzad said banks have options that range from acting as reserve managers to launching their own digital tokens. Deutsche Bank has said in a research report that stablecoins are on the verge of mainstream adoption as crypto legislation advances under the Donald Trump administration. Germany's largest lender has, meanwhile, invested in cross-border payments firm Partior and joined Project Agorá, a central bank-backed initiative focused on wholesale tokenized payments. Engineering the Perfect Shower Squeegee: The Story Behind dancemoon JustHang Squeegee

NEW YORK, June 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- dancemoon, the trailblazer in home cleaning innovation, proudly introduced its first-ever bathroom cleaning tool: the JustHang Squeegee. Designed for effortless use and stylish storage, the product officially launched worldwide on June 3 via dancemoon's website and Amazon, debuting at a special launch price of $19.99. It has been well-received on social media for its outstanding performance and uniquely innovative built-in hook, and has continued to gain traction on Amazon and the official website since its initial launch. What sets the JustHang Squeegee apart is the thoughtful design, inspired by the simple and universal natural habit of hanging things up after use. Through rounds of real-life testing and countless small tweaks, the dancemoon team turned this everyday habit into a clean, minimalist solution that blends form and function. And behind this seemingly simple tool is a deliberate design process worth sharing. How It's Made: Integrated Molded Structure: The built-in hook of JustHang Squeegee isn't a traditional after-assembly attachment. Instead, it is molded by one-piece injection molding. This process reduces breakage risk at joints, maintains minimalist lines and structural stability, prevents dirt buildup and avoids discoloration over time. The handle uses glass fiber reinforced PA66 and the scraper blade is made of hardened 45 steel, offering excellent strength and heat resistance, enabling JustHang Squeegee to withstand up to 75kg pressure without breaking. Size and Angle Validation: Based on user habit research, dancemoon designers analyzed common hanging points and user behaviors in the bathroom. Through multiple prototype tests and hanging simulations, the size and angle of the built-in hook were finely adjusted to ensure that it can be firmly fixed in places such as towel bars, glass doors and countertops, and perfectly fit the user's natural "use and hang" action. Premium Flexible Silicone: Made from high-elasticity 50 Shore A silicone, this material offers an ideal balance of flexibility and structural strength. After extensive durability testing, the dancemoon design team selected this specific hardness for its outstanding performance in wet and slippery environments, resisting deformation and cracking even with prolonged use. The result is a smoother, more efficient water-wiping experience and a significantly longer lifespan compared to traditional squeegees. Why JustHang Squeegee? Convenience: Effortless to hang anywhere even with wet hands. Versatility: Designed to fit seamlessly into various home settings, offering clean, clutter-free storage. Durability: One-piece molded construction minimizes breakage and lasts longer than traditional scrapers. To place an order, please visit dancemoon's Amazon store and Shopify. Bank of America says buy these five stocks that are set to rally

Bank of America thinks there's a slate of stocks worth snapping up and still have room to run. The firm said buy-rated companies like Nvidia have plenty of upside heading into summer. Other names include Philip Morris, Boot Barn, Amazon and Netflix . Netflix The streaming giant is firing on all cylinders and well positioned for growth, according to the firm. Analyst Jessica Reif Ehrlich recently raised her price target on the stock to $1,490 per share from $1,175, reflecting on her bullish thesis. "Year-to-date, Netflix has been a top performer in our coverage driven by: sustained earnings momentum, positive subscriber trends and a defensive rotation related to tariffs," she wrote. There's more to come as the company ramps up its advertising technology ,which should help the bottom line, the analyst said. "We continue to view Netflix as well positioned given the company's unmatched scale in streaming, further runway for subscriber growth, significant opportunities in advertising and sports/live and continued earnings and [free cash flow] growth," Reif Ehrlich added. The stock is up 39% this year. Amazon Analyst Justin Post recently lifted his price target on the e-commerce giant to $248 per share from $230. The firm said that robotics are poised to play a key role in how Amazon operates and this should increase the company's already "competitive moats." Post said the use of drones along with robotics will help margins, as well further reduce delivery times. "Going forward, we expect Amazon to leverage robots to: 1) reduce labor dependency; 2) increase order accuracy; and 3) improve warehouse efficiency, driving material cost savings," he added. Meanwhile shares are up more than 15% over the past 12 months, and they have room for further growth, Post said. "We think Amazon is well positioned to capitalize on the global growth of eCommerce and other secular trends such as cloud computing, online advertising and connected devices," he added. Boot Barn The Western-themed footwear company is firing on all cylinders, according to Bank of America. Analyst Christopher Nardone recently raised his price target on the stock to $192 per share from $173 citing a slew of positive catalysts ahead. "We are encouraged that the acceleration in comp trends has been broad-based across major merchandise categories and geographies," he wrote. The firm said the company is a multi-year growth story with plenty more room to run. In addition, the pricing environment remains very friendly and could lead to share gains, Nardone added. "With larger scale comes better pricing, better selection, more exclusive brands, and better customer service," he said. The stock is up 8% this year. Netflix "Year-to-date, Netflix has been a top performer in our coverage driven by: sustained earnings momentum, positive subscriber trends and a defensive rotation related to tariffs. … We continue to view Netflix as well positioned given the company's unmatched scale in streaming, further runway for subscriber growth, significant opportunities in advertising and sports/live and continued earnings and FCF growth." Amazon "Going forward, we expect Amazon to leverage robots to: 1) reduce labor dependency; 2) increase order accuracy; and 3) improve warehouse efficiency, driving material cost savings. … Robotics could increase AMZN's competitive moats. … We think Amazon is well positioned to capitalize on the global growth of eCommerce and other secular trends such as cloud computing, online advertising and connected devices." Nvidia "AI demand/visibility remain strong, maintain Buy, top pick. … We maintain Buy, a top sector pick with a $180 PO as we believe NVDA remains best positioned to benefit from the ongoing AI tide, supported by a multi-year lead in performance (AI scaling), pipeline, incumbency, scale, and developer support." Boot Barn "We are encouraged that the acceleration in comp trends has been broad-based across major merchandise categories and geographies. This gives us confidence BOOT isn't overearning in a specific geography or category. … With larger scale comes better pricing, better selection, more exclusive brands, and better customer service." Philip Morris "PM has been a top performer in the US market this year, led by execution, improving profitability in smoke-free, ZYN/IQOS volumes and continued contribution from combustibles to support SF [smoke free] growth. Its lack of exposure to China, tariff swings and its defensive nature is also attractive. As we see PM as well positioned to navigate external volatility, we boost our PO by $18 to $200."
