A surprisingly dramatic Wienie 500 in Indy had everyone mocking F1's Monaco GP
A new iconic American racing tradition was born at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Friday as the first-ever Wienie 500 set the track ablaze — or whatever the equivalent is of doing 60 miles per hour in a giant hot dog on wheels.
Six Oscar-Meyer Wienermobiles faced off over two laps at the Brickyard in an Indianapolis 500 undercard race and the the result was a surprisingly competitive affair. Think of it as the race car version of the Milwaukee Brewers' Sausage Race. There were plenty of twists and turns and lead changes to keep everyone guessing who would come out on top.
In the end, Slaw Dog overtook Chicago Dog just a few yards from the finish line to pull off a stunning comeback and win the Borg-Wiener Trophy— though credit to Chicago Dog for holding a late lead with all those extra toppings weighing it down. But what stood out to race fans is how much action there was. Considering Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix won't feature nearly as many attempts by drivers to overtake each other, the iconic F1 race quickly found itself becoming a punch line once again.
Obviously, the takeaway here is that we need to see the Wienermobiles take on the streets of Monte Carlo next. It's only fair that Monaco gets a chance to fight back.

How to watch Canadian Grand Prix 2025 online: live stream F1 race from anywhere
This weekend's Canadian Grand Prix live streams greet us at a point in the 2025 Formula 1 season that could scarcely be more fascinating. There are only 10 points separating McLaren's Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris at the top of the Drivers' Championship, and a first world champion for the legendary manufacturer since 2008 looks tantalizingly on the near horizon. Piastri has claimed five wins of the nine 2025 races so far including in Spain last time out, but his British teammate is clinging to his rear wing. They would, of course, be foolish to discount champion Max Verstappen, though. He's still loitering menacingly in their mirrors and has won in Montreal at the last three times of asking. Nobody has won five world titles on the trot since Michael Schumacher. At 49 points behind Piastri, he's very much still in with a chance of matching the German legend. A win for the Flying Dutchman at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve will make his McLaren foes very nervous indeed. In this article you can find out how to watch the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix as it happens. You'll also find all the information you need on the schedule, race start times around the world, track location, history and more. Lights out for the start of the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix is set for 4 p.m. local time in Montreal on Sunday, June 15. Here are the 2025 Canada Grand Prix start times in Europe, India, South Africa and other worldwide locations: So, that's how to watch the Canadian Grand Prix and all the race timings sorted. Now here's some F1 Canada GP FAQs for everything else you want to know about the upcoming race. The 2025 Canadian Grand Prix takes place over 70 laps of the 4.361-kilometre Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Quebec. Strikingly set on an island in the middle St Lawrence River, the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is named for Canada's most famous racing driver and father of 1997 world champion Jacques. The regular tight turns and chicanes don't stop the Canada Grand Prix from being one of the season's fastest. The drivers will be doing their best to avoid being the next victim of the so-called 'Wall of Champions' — the wall on the very last turn that has seen the likes of Damon Hill, Michael Schumacher, Jenson Button and Sebastian Vettel all crash in to it over the years. Welcome to Quebec! The next Formula 1 race after the Canadian GP is the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg. It takes place in two weeks' time, on Sunday, June 29. Max Verstappen of Red Bull was the winner of the Canadian Grand Prix last year, helping him to extend his lead in the World Championship standings. He was trailed by three British drivers in Lando Norris (McLaren) and Mercedes pair George Russell and Lewis Hamilton. Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas set the record lap at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in 2019 with a time of 1:13.078 . The Canadian Grand Prix has been held since 1961 and so has enjoyed a rich history before Max Verstappen's three wins in a row between 2022 and 2024. In 2019, Lewis Hamilton matched Michael Schumacher's record of seven Canadian GP victories. Outside of those two legends of the sport, only current world champion Verstappen and Brazilian Nelson Piquet have managed to win here more than twice — both winning it on three occasions. Gilles Villeneuve is the only Canadian to win the home Grand Prix north of the border — a feat that was beyond his son Jacques — hence why the circuit is now named after him.

Harvey Weinstein sex crimes retrial ends in disarray as jury foreperson refuses to deliberate
Harvey Weinstein's sex crimes retrial case ended in disarray on Thursday as the jury foreperson refused to deliberate and the judge declared a mistrial on a remaining rape allegation. The ruling came a day after a split verdict on other charges in the landmark #MeToo-era case and now sets up the former studio boss for a third trial in New York. Before that case however goes ahead, the 73-year-old will face new sentencing early next month on his sexual assault conviction. The Oscar-winning movie producer denies all the charges and his lawyer says he plans to appeal. Related New York jury convicts Harvey Weinstein of top charge in #MeToo sex crimes retrial In Wednesday's partial verdict, Weinstein was convicted of one criminal sex act charge but acquitted of another. Both concerned accusations of forcing oral sex on women in 2006. Those verdicts still stand. While the jury of seven women and five men was unanimous on those decisions, it got stuck on the rape charge involving another woman, Jessica Mann. The hairstylist and actor testified at length — as she did in 2020 — that Weinstein raped her amid a years-long consensual relationship. 'I will never give up on myself and making sure my voice – and the truth – is heard," Mann said in a statement Thursday, confirming she's ready to testify yet again. Tensions and disagreements among the jury began to emerge in public last Friday as one member asked to be excused because he felt another was being treated unfairly. On Monday, the foreperson complained that other jurors were pushing people to change their minds and talking about information beyond the charges. The man raised concerns again Wednesday, telling the judge he felt afraid in the jury room because another juror was yelling at him for sticking to his opinion and suggested the foreperson would 'see me outside.' When Judge Curtis Farber asked the foreperson Thursday whether he was willing to return to deliberations, the man said said no. And with that, Farber declared a mistrial on the rape count. Two jurors disputed the foreperson's account as they left court. One, Chantan Holmes, said that no one mistreated the man and that she believed he was just tired of deliberating. 'We all felt bad. Because we really wanted to do this. We put our hearts and souls in here,' she said. Another jury member, who identified himself only by his juror number, said the deliberations were contentious, but respectful. 'What happened in that jury room was absolutely improper,' attorney Arthur Aidala said outside court. Weinstein is due back in court July 2 for discussion of retrial and sentencing dates. His first-degree criminal sex act conviction carries the potential for up to 25 years in jail, while the unresolved third-degree rape charge is punishable by up to four years — less than he already has served. He's been behind bars since his initial conviction in 2020, and he later also was sentenced to prison in a separate California case, which he's appealing. Weinstein's 2020 conviction seemed to cement the downfall of one of Hollywood's most powerful men in a pivotal moment for the #MeToo movement. The anti-sexual-misconduct campaign was fueled by allegations against him. But that conviction was overturned last year, and the case was sent back for retrial in the same Manhattan courthouse. Weinstein's accusers said he exploited his Tinseltown influence to dangle career help, get them alone and then trap and force them into sexual encounters. 'These hopeful young women were trying to follow their dreams in a world that he controlled,' Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, a Democrat, said at a news conference Thursday. Weinstein's defence portrayed his accusers as Hollywood wannabes and hangers-on who willingly hooked up with him in the hope of getting opportunities, then later said they were victimized to collect settlement funds and #MeToo approbation. Miriam Haley, the producer and production assistant whom Weinstein was convicted — twice, now — of sexually assaulting, said outside court Wednesday that the new verdict 'gives me hope.' Accuser Kaja Sokola also called it 'a big win for everyone,' even though Weinstein was acquitted of forcibly performing oral sex on her when she was a 19-year-old fashion model. Her allegation was added to the case after the retrial was ordered.

MAGA Boxer Ryan Garcia Punches Back At Donald Trump: ‘I Can't Stay Silent…'
MAGA boxer Ryan Garcia has turned on Donald Trump and slammed the president over his administration's aggressive immigration raids in Los Angeles. Garcia has previously praised Trump as 'the best president' and shadowboxed for him during a visit to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida. He even once wrote on social media, 'Love you Trump,' and fiercely defended him in other posts. But on Thursday, Garcia ripped Trump in response to his controversial immigration crackdown that has sparked protests in L.A. and to which Trump has deployed the National Guard, a move that has been slammed as a major, unneeded and divisive escalation by critics. 'I may have voted for Trump, but I can't stay silent about what's happening with ICE in L.A.,' Garcia wrote on X, formerly Twitter. 'These aren't just 'illegals' or statistics they're people,' pointed out the Victorville-born and raised pugilist, whose grandparents were born in Mexico and who often enters the ring with both the American and Mexican flags. 'Hardworking immigrants, especially Mexicans, who pay taxes, raise families, build our communities, and are part of the people we love,' Garcia continued. 'Ripping them away from their homes is not just policy it's pain. We can have borders without losing our humanity.' Garcia was last year expelled by the World Boxing Council for using racial slurs during a livestream. He's also come under fire for anti-LGBTQ remarks.
