According to Fox News, last week, Venetians gathered together to protest the couple's upcoming wedding festivities over fears of disruptions in a city that is already impacted by mass tourism. "No space for Bezos," one sign read. The high-profile wedding is being met with protests from Venice locals.
Live Events
Bezos and Sánchez have invited celebrity friends including Oprah Winfrey, Mick Jagger, Katy Perry, and Ivanka Trump to their three-day wedding celebration in Venice, according to the Associated Press. Sources close to the couple told the outlet they are sourcing about 80% of their wedding provisions from local Venetian vendors as a gesture of appreciation for the romantic lagoon city. All events for the approximately 200 guests are expected to remain private.
The protest reflects growing frustration among some residents who believe Venice is increasingly becoming a playground for billionaires. Many fear the high-profile event will attract an influx of celebrities and disrupt daily life for both locals and tourists.
Though most of the details surrounding the wedding are unknown, one Venice citizen said, "we have our moles," per The New York Times.

Federica Toninello, a protest organizer, said that one of the venues could be The Misericordia, a famed event hall. "Bezos will never get to the Misericordia," she said during a protest. "We will line the streets with our bodies, block the canals with lifesavers, dinghies and our boats."
"We have to block Bezos, we have to block this idea of this city as a tourist haven that has driven up housing costs so that most ordinary Venetians can no longer afford to live here," she said, according to the NYT.
Despite the backlash, Mayor Luigi Brugnaro told the Associated Press that the city is "very proud."
"We are very proud,'' Brugnaro said. "I don't know if I will have time [to meet Bezos and Sánchez], or if he will, to meet and shake hands, but it's an honor that they chose Venice. Venice once again reveals itself to be a global stage.''
"The city is fully accustomed to hosting high-profile events of this nature and scale, including other celebrity weddings, international summits such as the G7 and G20, as well as traditional events like the Festa del Redentore and the Venice Biennale," city hall officials said in a statement to NBC.
"The celebrations, attended by 250 guests, will blend into the daily rhythm of a city that, with dignity and respect, welcomes thousands of visitors from around the world while safeguarding the quality of life for its residents, workers, and students."

Bezos and Sánchez reportedly met in the mid-2010s but didn't go public with their relationship until 2019. Bezos proposed to Sánchez while aboard his $500 million yacht, Koru, in May 2023, she told Vogue in November of that year.
W Magazine reported that Sanchez's 30-carat engagement ring is estimated to be worth between $3 million and $5 million. The outlet reported that Sanchez had two engagement parties, one in Beverly Hills and another in Positano, Italy.

Who Is Manasvi Mamgai, Former Miss India Now Producing Hollywood Film With Al Pacino?

Last Updated: Miss India 2010 Manasvi Mamgai is now producing a film starring Al Pacino and Katie Holmes. Here's a look at her inspiring global journey. Manasvi Mamgai's life has taken her from Chandigarh's stages to Hollywood's biggest circles. A former Miss India (2010), Manasvi is now making waves globally as a Hollywood producer. Her latest project? A major feature film starring acting legends Al Pacino and Katie Holmes, based on the 1973 kidnapping of oil tycoon J. Paul Getty's grandson. In an earlier interview with Grazia, Manasvi opened up about how the ambitious project came to life. 'It all began with a connection: someone I knew had access to an extraordinary IP – the life rights of the Italian mafia boss who kidnapped the grandson of the world's richest man, Jean Paul Getty, in 1973… Now having Hollywood legends like Al Pacino and Katie Holmes on board has been nothing short of surreal," she shared. Her journey, however, hasn't been an overnight success. This week, Manasvi introduced herself to her growing Instagram community with a powerful, personal post recounting her story from a childhood in small-town India to producing movies in Los Angeles and Rome. View this post on Instagram A post shared by MANASVI MAMGAI (@imanasvi) Born and raised in Chandigarh, with roots in Uttarakhand, Manasvi was raised by a single mother. She began performing on stage at five and by fifteen had won over 100 competitions. A successful modeling career followed, and in 2010, she won Miss India, a title shared by stars like Priyanka Chopra. However, success didn't shield her from life's challenges. She shared experiencing breakups, depression, and career uncertainty. But her passion for the arts pulled her back, leading to theatre work in Mumbai and her Bollywood debut. A work opportunity took her to the United States in 2016. She described her move as a leap of faith: 'Instead of thinking why, I said why not." Nine years later, she's producing a film in Rome and balancing her Bollywood roots with a Hollywood future. Notably, Manasvi, along with Pacino, met with Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican, marking the first time the Oscar-winning actor has been formally received by a Pope. The event was also historic for Manasvi, placing her among the few Indian-origin Hollywood producers to be granted such an audience. Now based in LA and producing under her banner 32RED Entertainment, Manasvi is not just chasing the American dream—she's shaping it. 'Every day I wake up wondering if it will all work out or fall apart," she wrote, 'but I am grateful that I get to have these challenges." First Published: June 17, 2025, 21:01 IST

Meet India's highest paid singer, who charges ₹14 crore for 2-hours performance, not AR Rahman or Shreya Ghoshal

India's highest-paid singer has been ruling the hearts of fans for years. His voice has become the soundtrack to countless love stories and heartbreak anthems for millions across the nation. He not only dominates playlists but also takes home a staggering ₹ 14 crore for just a two-hour live performance. India's highest-paid singer is none other than Arijit Singh, as per reports. In an interview, singer Rahul Vaidya revealed that Arijit charges ₹ 14 crore for a two-hour stage performance, according to a report by News18. Even without the jaw-dropping fee, Arijit Singh is regarded as one of the most celebrated and loved singers in India. On the global stage too, he stands among the highest-paid artists, having collaborated with international names like Ed Sheeran and Martin Garrix. What makes his success even more remarkable is his humble personality. Arijit continues to lead a grounded and private life despite reaching extraordinary milestones in his career. Choosing to stay away from the limelight, his accomplishments still speak volumes about his influence and talent. His estimated net worth stands at ₹ 414 crore, as per reports. This includes a lavish ₹ 8 crore home in Navi Mumbai and a luxury car collection worth over ₹ 3.4 crore, featuring high-end brands like Range Rover and Mercedes. Yet, despite all the luxury, Arijit's primary residence remains in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal. He lives in a modest home with an attached studio and is often seen leading a low-key life, travelling for work mostly. In his hometown, he also runs a low-cost restaurant called Heshel, which reportedly offers meals for just ₹ 40. Apart from his earnings, Arijit also makes a significant income from brand endorsements and collaborations. He has represented global names like Coca-Cola and Samsung. Concerts and live shows form another major part of his income. According to ticket prices for Arijit Singh's concerts in India usually range from ₹ 2,000 to ₹ 80,000, depending on the city, venue, and ticket category. However, prices can go even higher. For instance, at one of his Pune shows, premium lounge tickets were reportedly sold for a massive ₹ 16 lakh. Going international soon, Arijit is set to make history by headlining a concert at London's iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This will be his only European concert in 2025 and will mark the first time an Indian singer headlines a solo show at a major UK stadium. According to the official website, ticket prices started at £210 for general entry and went up to £2,410 for VIP packages. Besides this, Arijit is also breaking digital records. He recently became the most-followed artist on Spotify, crossing 140 million followers, surpassing global stars like Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Ariana Grande. In India, Arijit's performance fee remains significantly higher than his peers who debuted long before him in the film industry. While AR Rahman reportedly charges ₹ 1–2 crore for a one-hour show, Shreya Ghoshal earns around ₹ 20–25 lakh per concert. Sunidhi Chauhan, on the other hand, is said to earn ₹ 18–20 lakh per song.

Italy judge gives Depardieu till October to settle Rome paparazzo case

* Judge gives Depardieu until October to settle assault case Depardieu accused of assaulting photographer Rino Barillari * Paris court sentenced him in separate sexual assaults case ROME, - An Italian judge has given Gerard Depardieu until October to try to settle a case in which the French actor is accused of assaulting a veteran Italian photographer during an altercation in Rome last year. An initial hearing on Tuesday fixed a date of October 15 for the next session if Depardieu and Rino Barillari, a well-known paparazzo celebrity photographer, fail to settle out of court. Depardieu, 76, was not required to enter a plea at this stage, and was represented in court by lawyer Fabrizio Siggia. The case dates back to May 2024, when Barillari accused Depardieu of assaulting him in central Rome after he took photos of the actor and his partner at the Harry's Bar restaurant on Via Veneto. Barillari, who is 80, told Italian media at the time that he went to the restaurant when he heard that Depardieu was having lunch there with friends. Barillari took some photos before heading outside, after Depardieu's entourage repeatedly asked him to leave. The actor's partner, Magda Vavrusova, followed him to remonstrate, Barillari said, with Depardieu rushing out soon afterwards and punching him three times, leaving him with a cut to his head that needed medical attention. Barillari's account differed significantly from that of Depardieu and Vavrusova, who accused him of shoving them around. Separately, a Paris court last month found Depardieu guilty of sexually assaulting two women on a film set and handed him an 18-month suspended sentence. Depardieu repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in that case. His lawyer said he would appeal the court's decision. The actor has been a leading figure in French cinema, starring in more than 200 films over five decades, including Green Card, The Last Metro and Cyrano de Bergerac.
