Michele Ann Joy Bourda, 59, was at the Ofrynio beach in Kavala with her husband before she shockingly disappeared - sparking a huge search operation. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 3 Michele Ann Joy Bourda, 59, who disappeared from the beach of Ofryni, Kavala Credit: Enterprise 3 A sports instructor has now claimed that he saw a woman who resembled Mrs Bourda swimming in deep waters near the beach. He claims to have asked the Brit not to go any further, LBC reports. A Hellenic coast guard spokesperson confirmed the search had not only expanded across a much larger area but would continue. They told The Sun: "Patrol boats are now focused on the entire Strymonian Gulf and it will continue. "There is no change in this operation." The Brit was last seen wearing a two-piece beaded swimsuit, yellow beach shoes, and red sunglasses, according to authorities. Sources say the woman's belongings were still at the beach after she disappeared. A source told The Sun: "We are giving it our all. "There are still no signs as to whether she went missing on land or sea but right now there are no plans either to end this search. "We are not at that stage." A coast guard official said that the Brit had been "residing temporarily" in Serres, northern Greece. A Silver Alert was issued after authorites failed to locate the woman and said there are "no signs of her". The British embassy in Greece also issued an alert notice saying: "Michele Ann BOURDA went missing on 01/08/2025 at the beach of Ofrynio in Kavala. "On the day she went missing, she was wearing a swimsuit with decorative stones, yellow water shoes, and red plastic sunglasses. Her life is in danger." Yesterday, Greece's Hellenic Coast Guard told The Sun that a search operation via sea continues. It is believed that part of the beach from where she disappeared is surrounded by extensive crops, houses and a large reservoir. More to follow... EastEnders fan-favourite says tearful goodbye in early iPlayer release
This article contains spoilers for tonight's episode of EastEnders, which airs at 7.30pm on BBC One or can be streamed now on iPlayer. Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier) has made a tearful farewell to nephew Jimmy after committing a serious crime. Earlier this week, his thuggish associate Fat Mike (Tai Hilferink) demanded a whopping 5k in exchange for the Branning-Beale family's safety. At a lost cause with where to find this money, Oscar attempted to get a few extra shifts at Ian Beale's (Adam Woodyatt) chippy, but his efforts fell flat. He even suggested that the businessman expand his empire selling food at the park. Desperate, he told sister Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) of his predicament, and she begged her boss Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) for an advance on her wages. He told her that she'd have to sell some cars before he could find the money – something she was prepared to do to save her family from further turmoil. As Jay went to collect Lauren's wages, an unaware Oscar set about finding an alternative cash source. Across the road, Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) was horrified to spot a masked intruder holding his bookies winnings. He slammed the living room door closed and prepared to stage an intervention when the robber launched towards him. During the scuffle, Patrick's head hit the floor and he was knocked unconscious. The burglar was of course Oscar. In tonight's episode, he called emergency services from Patrick's phone before preparing to flee. When Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) arrived at the scene of the crime, he made a run for it. Just moments before, Lauren had a run in with Mike, and handed over her wages from Jay. She and Oscar have doubled up on the cash. Oscar's concern began to grow as he watched the police and ambulance presence in The Square, and Lauren was confused as to why he was so visibly worried for a man he doesn't really know. He told the youngster that he wanted him to make something of his life and do him proud, as it wouldn't be long before he was behind bars again. As he turned his head, Lauren was stood in the doorway holding Patrick's winnings. View More » Is this the end of Oscar? Teen 'caught in care worker's bed' at children's home as she gives brazen reason
Lindy Leah gave a brazen excuse for her involvement with the boy. A care worker who allegedly "fell in love with" a teenage boy living at the children's home where she worked has told a court it was "completely normal" for him to be in her bed. Lindy Leah, 44, has been accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with the teen at the residential facility in St Helens, Merseyside, where she was a deputy manager. She "denies any improper behaviour" as her trial began at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday, August 4. She is said to have donned inappropriate and revealing outfits while with him, allowed him to sleep in her bed and asked him "for a love bite". The court was told she was also assigned as his key worker after he was placed in the home, the Mirror reports. Graham Pickavance, prosecuting, said: "The defendant, by her own admission, admitted that she fell in love with him. But the crown say that it was not simply parental love, but something that went far beyond that and was physical love." While the boy "does not support the prosecution", Leah's colleagues described her behaviour as "inappropriate", as well as "unprofessional interventions which prevented [the boy] from being challenged about his behaviour". It was also alleged he was seen lying in her bed at the care home "as if it was completely normal", with the defendant responding: "He's comfortable. He always does that. No one else has a problem." A police investigation recovered video footage of the youth asleep in her bed. Leah was also reported to have "worn skin tight and highly revealing clothing" while he was with her, including a bodysuit with no underwear and a "highly visible thong". In one instance, she was said to have pulled at the bodysuit at a time when her nipples were "highly visible", an action which was reportedly followed by her saying "I've had a shower but forgot to bring clean knickers". The boy's mother also "grew more concerned" about the relationship between her son and his key worker, with Leah allegedly telling her he "had her wrapped around his little finger" and referred to him as "gorgeous and handsome". Mr Pickavance explained that a series of messages exchanged between the pair also "painted a picture of a relationship far removed from a carer and child". In one, which concerned a phone which had been confiscated from him, Leah told him: "I'll give it you on Wednesday for a love bite." During her interview with detectives, she "denied any improper behaviour". However, despite a condition of her bail being to have no contact with the teen, they were seen together weeks later on two occasions, one by another care worker. Leah denies one charge of being a person in a position of trust causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. The trial continues.
