Dua Lipa & Callum Turner's Wedding Not Set Amid Engagement Confirmation
Dua Lipa has mostly been private about her love life. However, she recently confirmed that she is engaged to the love of her life, Callum Turner. Spilling the beans about her engagement, the pop icon told British Vogue that she couldn't be happier. Moreover, the singer believes the couple were destined to be together due to many 'Sliding Doors moments' between the two.
Revealing about encounters, Lipa told the publication that in 2014, when she was working at La Bodega Negra, there was a photo of the British actor just outside the same Soho spot that exact same year. Again, in 2020, they went to the same last pre-lockdown party. The couple also had 'so many friends in common.'
But what sealed their fate was the chance encounter in a LA restaurant where she was having dinner with her friend Mustafa the Poet, 'and all of a sudden Callum shows up.' She thought of Turner as a 'really hot guy from The River Cafe.' The 35-year-old actor then asked the musician what she was reading. She said Hernan Diaz's novel 'Trust.' Surprisingly, they 'both just happened to be reading the same book,' making her believe they were destined to be together 'one thousand per cent.'
Lipa now confirmed to the publication that the couple is 'engaged' and finds her new status 'very exciting.' The 29-year-old even talked about her wedding plans, saying there are no plans yet. She has to 'finish' her tour, and since Turner is shooting, they are 'just enjoying this period.' However, Lipa 'understood the weight' of being engaged as she realized, 'This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don't know, be best friends forever – it's a really special feeling.'

Sophie Turner reveals exhausting pregnancies and how 'my privacy was being invaded'
In her new movie "Trust" (in theaters Aug. 22), Sophie Turner plays a pregnant actress who retreats to a remote area after a scandal, only to end up trapped inside a boiler room fighting for her life. While filming the thriller, the "Game of Thrones" star reminded herself what it was like to carry a child. "When I was in the first trimester of my pregnancies, I was (expletive) exhausted," Turner, 29, tells USA TODAY over Zoom with "Trust" director Carlson Young. The British actress shares daughters Willa and Delphine with ex-husband Joe Jonas. "I was also a raging bitch. And so you have to bring in all these elements as well into it thinking, 'OK, given her first trimester, this is her first pregnancy. She's going through an extreme situation.' And so you're constantly reminding yourself of the fact that there's a life inside of you." Join our Watch Party! Sign up to receive USA TODAY's movie and TV recommendations right in your inbox Young, an actress who welcomed a child with husband and Foster the People multi-instrumentalist Isom Innis this summer, adds that she was "specific" with Turner on when her character would "spiritually accept" that she's not just fighting for herself. "How could she possibly keep this little baby safe?'" Young, 34, asks. "There's a process that we see. ... By the end of the film, she accepts that she's ready for this new chapter." Sophie Turner related to escaping a media storm in her movie 'Trust' In "Trust," Turner plays Lauren Lane, an actress beloved for her role on a popular family sitcom. But when intimate photos are hacked from her phone, Lane's world is turned upside down. Turner could relate to the unwanted attention. "At that time in my life, I did feel like my privacy was being invaded quite heavily," Turner says, alluding to the publicity around her divorce from Jonas and subsequent custody dispute. "When this script came to me and when I spoke to Carlson, I was like, 'This is some sort of kismet thing that's happening here. I have to do this movie,' because the idea of escaping this kind of media storm was something that was very real for me at the time." "The sort of internet exposure of the whole movie is something we can all relate to," Young adds. "The idea of wanting to escape from that, wanting to get out of town and thinking that you're safe and trusting the people around you is something ... I could glob on to." Sophie Turner dealt with rats and cockroaches in 'Trust' As Turner's character attempts to break out of the boiler room she's trapped in, the actress encounters a few unsightly pests and rodents before a pipe bursts and the room begins to fill with water. "Your diving training was incredibly helpful," Young says to Turner. "You were so good at breathing (underwater). It was amazing going through the takes because I was like, 'Absolutely smashed it.' " Turner downplays her underwater acting skills but then remembers that she had to film with both the rats and cockroaches on the same day. "Thank God the rats were not New York-size rats," she deadpans. "That was a hard day."
