ITV Britain's Got Talent fans say same thing as hosts announce judges' wildcard
Britain's Got Talent viewers issued the same complaint minutes into Saturday's live final
Britain's Got Talent viewers voiced the same grievance just moments into Saturday's (May 31) live final.
The popular ITV talent show is drawing to a close tonight, with eleven acts vying for the title of series 18 champion.
This year's finalists include gymnastics sensation Binita Chetry, Post Office choir Hear Our Voice, dance troupe Ping Pong Pang, and vocalists Vinnie McKee and Stacey Leadbeatter.
They are joined by the judges' golden buzzer acts from the semi-finals, which include LED dance group The Blackouts, opera singer and drag queen Jasmine Rice, magician Harry Moulding, guitarist Olly Pearson and comedian Joseph Charm.
At the start of the live final, presenters Ant and Dec announced that singing duo Han and Fran were the judges' wildcard, reports Belfast Live.
The Britain's Got Talent final aired on Saturday (May 31) night
"Han and Fran got the wildcard, which I'm very pleased about," Ant declared.
"They got a massive vote from the public and therefore, they deserve the shot in the final. It's as simple as that, I'm happy for them," head judge, Simon Cowell, then clarified.
The best friends from Wales were the first to perform, delivering a medley of ABBA classics, including Take A Chance On Me, Does Your Mother Know and Mamma Mia.
Han and Fran were accompanied by a host of dancers, who were donned in glittering silver jumpsuits.
Following the performance, Bruno Tonioli enthused: "Wow! That's how you get the party started. Amazing performances, your voices are actually fantastic. Your harmonies were divine."
Alesha Dixon congratulated the duo, saying: "I'm so thrilled for you that you got the wildcard. So many people voted for you, so you deserve to be on that stage tonight. Well done ladies."
Han and Fran were the judges' wildcard
However, the decision sparked a heated reaction on X (formerly Twitter), with many viewers expressing their discontent at the judges' choice of wildcard.
"Han & Fran is the wildcard?! I loved them but surely there was better acts to bring to the final," one person wrote, with another adding: "Han and Fran are the wildcard? That is the most ridiculous decision ever."
"I'm kinda happy Han & Fran got the wildcard I quite liked them. But I do agree that there were better acts who deserved it over them. #BGT," a third said, with another similarly sharing: "Han and Fran got the wildcard! Really #BGT."
Meanwhile, other viewers shared their excitement at Han and Fran returning to the show, with one person writing: "I'M SO HAPPY HAN AND FRAN ARE BACK!!!!!!!! #BGT!"
Another said: "My inner ABBA child is shrieking. Fabulous," with a third adding: "I love them!" while another added: "I adore you, Han and Fran! The PERFECT Wildcard #BritainsGotTalent #BGT @BGT."

Code of Silence ending explained: What happened to Liam and Braden?
Code of Silence ending explained: What happened to Liam and Braden? Code of Silence saw Liam Barlow choose between the criminal gang and his relationship with Alison Brooks. Kieron Moore as Liam in Code of Silence (Image: MAMMOTH SCREEN/ITV ) Code of Silence has been airing on ITV and the explosive finale revealed what happened to Liam Barlow (played by Kieron Moore) and Braden Moore (Joe Absolom). The final episode started after the revelation Liam had planned to escape alone with the necklace all along. Ben Lawford (Nathan Armarkwei) was out of surgery, recovering from the gunshot wound, and the rest of the officers wanted to make sure putting his life on the line wasn't "for nothing". They asked Alison to text Liam so if he checked his messages they could locate him, meanwhile Alison and her mum were taken to a safehouse. Braden, who had been on the run, was blindsided that Liam had set him up. While Helen Redman (Beth Goddard) and Joseph Holhurst (Andrew Scarborough) were brought in for questioning. Unfortunately for the team, Helen still had the upper hand and she claimed the heist was all planned by Liam and Braden. Liam wanted Alison to run away with him Meanwhile, a surprising discovery was made about Liam, who had in fact changed his surname since his time in foster care. DI James Marsh discovered the man who was killed in the previous heist, Charlie, was in fact Liam's foster dad, whom he had cared for dearly. It transpired Liam had taken the necklace for revenge, wanting Braden and Helen to pay for what they did. Liam had set up a meeting with Alison and he asked her to run away with him, but she wanted him to testify against Helen and Joseph. Yet Liam, who did not want to end up with a lengthy prison sentence, could not contact the police. Alison was held captive by Braden After their meeting, Alison went back to the Canterbury Tap where she came face to face with Braden. Wanting to lure Liam back to him with the necklace, he held Alison hostage at a warehouse. Before handing over the necklace to Braden, Liam went back to his foster mum to say goodbye as he said he would need to spend his life on the run. He took the necklace to Helen in return for Alison, but, in a twist of events, he had also called the police. While Braden had a gun to Liam, Liam cleverly used sign language to tell Alison 'police, go' instead of 'please go', so she knew the police were coming. Joe Absolom as Braden Moore (Image: MAMMOTH SCREEN/ITV ) Alison couldn't believe Liam had given himself up for her, and on the day of his court hearing, he told her he was continuing to practice British Sign Language. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to rob, while Braden and Helen had also been taken down for their involvement. Joseph was arrested after being charged with money laundering. As for Alison, she and her mum moved into a new flat for a fresh start, and James surprised her with £50,000 for helping them. He encouraged her to put some of it towards a forensic lip reading course, telling her she would be a highly sought-after asset. Braden video calls Liam and reveals that he is now holding her hostage. Alison is taken to an ominous looking warehouse by Braden, who is armed with a gun. Liam returns to Dawn's house and explains that all he did was for revenge - but ends by telling his former foster parent that Alison has been captured. He meets with Helen, who takes him to the warehouse and Braden appears again. He holds Alison at gunpoint and Liam hands over the necklace - despite her warnings that Braden won't let them go. Braden lets Alison go but orders Liam to get on his knees and he uses sign language to pass on a secret message to her - that the police are about to arrive. DI James and armed police swoop in and arrest Braden and Helen. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad It is revealed that Liam had contacted the police and before he is taken away, Alison is able to speak with him. He tells her that it was 'worth it' to give himself up to save her. The show then jumps forward two months and Alison joins DS Ashleigh in court. DI James visits her and tells her that Joseph Holhurst has been charged for money laundering. He also reveals that her payment for her work as an informant has gone through - and it is shown to be £50,000. In the final moments he passes her a leaflet for a forensic lip-reading course and encourages her to take it. JoJo Siwa breaks silence on Chris Hughes romance, split with Kath Ebbs and her sexuality saying she's ‘head over heels'
JOJO Siwa has broken her silence on being "head over heels" for Chris Hughes - as she admitted their previously platonic connection has now "developed." The Dance Moms star, 22, was candid in addressing her feelings for the Love Island alum after they were spotted cosying up on a night out with pals. 6 6 6 It came shortly after the duo shared an intimate video together before snuggling up in bed - in a snap which has since been deleted. The actress and singer - who formed a blossoming connection with ITV Racing pundit Chris, 32, in Celebrity Big Brother this year - has now opened up on the "genuine" nature of their bond. She said: "People can see our chemistry, and they got to see it develop "I think everyone's just curious, and I can't blame them." Clarifying the pair's exact relationship status she told The Guardian: "It's not platonic any more, and it's been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I'm absolutely head over heels for him and he's the same way." She added: "I won't ever speak for him, but for me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now. "Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I've never been in pain from smiling so much." SHOCK SPLIT The Boomerang songstress was dating partner Kath Ebbs when she stepped foot in the ITV spy house. Yet Kath, 27, revealed they had been dumped by the US TV alum during the wrap party for the reality series. Watch as JoJo Siwa makes Chris Hughes blush with cute tribute as he proudly watches her perform in London Taking to Instagram at the time, Australian content creator Kath, said they were in "complete shock" and felt "numbed out and humiliated" after being dumped by JoJo. Yet she has now told how she is "preserving her piece" - and not hitting back at her former partner's social media post. After revealing she was no longer a lesbian in the CBB compound during the show's live stream she said she now wants to identify as queer. During a private chat in the bedroom, she confessed: "I feel so queer,", as co-star Danny then responded: "I'm queer!" JoJo Siwa and Kath Ebbs' relationship We look back at JoJo Siwa's romance with Kath Ebbs: JoJo Siwa went public with hers and Kath Ebbs' relationship in January 2025. The Dance Moms star had been introduced to 27-year-old Australian content creator Kath by a mutual friend called G-Flip six months earlier. JoJo had split with her girlfriend Dakayla Wilson in November 2024 and it is believed she hooked up romantically with Kath soon after. Speaking in March at the 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, JoJo said of her relationship: 'I am so happy. I am in a very mature relationship, and it's beautiful. It's taught me so much about life. 'It's taught me so much about love and respect, and it's a beautiful thing. 'It's different in more ways than I can count. I wouldn't even know what to say the biggest is 'cause just everything is so different and special.' Kath even claimed they had talked about marriage together. However, JoJo's romance with Kath abruptly hit the skids on April 25, 2025, at the Celebrity Big Brother wrap party. JoJo dumped Kath at the bash after spending 19 days in the CBB house - where she had grown close to Love Island star Chris Hughes. In her new interview, she told how the phrase "encompasses how I am, and who I am." She added: "I do live this very, very big public life that has so many eyeballs on it, and it can get really hard to navigate. "But I'm also living a human life. You can't help who you love." The term queer is defined by LGBTQ charity Stonewall as "a term used by those wanting to reject specific labels of sexual orientation and/or gender identity". JoJo's sexuality was already a subject of conversation on CBB when American actor Mickey Rourke made a homophobic slur when talking to her earlier on in the series. 6 6 6
