PGA Tour 2026 schedule unveiled: Trump gets back in picture with Doral event
The Tour announced its schedule for next year on Tuesday and it includes a return to Trump Doral's Blue Monster near Miami in May for a new signature event to be called – for now – the Miami Championship. It is being announced without a title sponsor but Golfweek sources say one is expected to be announced in the coming months, well before the tournament.
Doral was a longtime PGA Tour stop
Doral was a longtime Tour host until it was dumped from the schedule in 2016 when title sponsor Cadillac elected to end ties with the Tour and the tournament and a replacement couldn't be found there. Instead, the Tour moved the event south of the border, which became the VidantaWorld Mexico Open. With the introduction of the Miami Championship to the regular season schedule, the Mexico Open will now be contested as part of the FedEx Cup Fall. One event has dropped off the schedule: the Barracuda Championship in Truckee, Calif., which has been played opposite the British Open in recent years.
Trump courses have been used on multiple occasions for LIV Golf events, including at Trump Doral. The President attempted to help negotiations between the Tour and LIV on two occasions earlier this year but nothing came to fruition.

The return to Doral's Blue Monster (April 27-May 3) will mark the 56th playing of a Tour event at the course, which hosted the Tour annually from 1962 to 2016. The Miami Championship gives the Tour nine signature events for 2026, up one from the previous two years. It includes a stretch of two majors and four signature events in a span of seven weeks, beginning with the Masters in April through the PGA Championship in May. [The lone regular event will be the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, a two-man team event.]

Full PGA Tour schedule has adjustments
The FedEx Cup regular season features a total of 35 official FedEx Cup events and begins in January with The Sentry (Jan. 5-11) in Maui, Hawaii. Notable adjustments to the schedule include The Genesis Invitational returning to The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California – it was held at Torrey Pines last year due to California wildfires – and the Truist Championship (May 4-10) returning to Quail Hollow Club, after hosting the 2025 PGA Championship.
Schedule changes include the Tour spending consecutive weeks in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with THE CJ Cup Byron Nelson (May 18-24) and Charles Schwab Challenge (May 25-31), while the Corales Puntacana Championship (from mid-April to July 13-19) and the Rocket Classic (from late June to July 27-Aug. 2) will shift dates on the calendar. Full details regarding the 2026 FedEx Cup Fall will be announced at a later date.

A FedExCup champion will be crowned this week at the 2025 Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. It's the final leg of the playoffs, putting a bow on the PGA Tour season. The first round of this playoff finale begins on Thursday morning. Below, we search for the best value prop bets for the Tour Championship from BetMGM Sportsbook's odds and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions. The FedExCup Playoffs are down to just 30 players after last week's BMW Championship knocked 20 players out of the mix. Scottie Scheffler is still No. 1 in the standings by a mile, but with the format changing this year, he won't have the advantage of starting at 10-under par like in years past. Instead, everyone in the field starts at even par. He's predictably still the heavy favorite at +170, though. East Lake underwent a massive restoration project following the 2023 Tour Championship, creating a completely different layout and feel to the course. Holes were rerouted and changed, while green complexes and grasses were also replaced. This will be the second year of the new design, which is a par 70 and 7,490 yards. It'd be safer to take him for a top 10 at -118, but +250 for a top 5 is worth taking. Hovland was the 2023 champion at East Lake, showing that his ball striking can be a difference-maker in Atlanta. He bounced back from a disappointing showing at the FedEx St. Jude Championship (T-32) by finishing T-7 at the BMW last week, getting back on track before the playoff finale. Tour Championship – Top-10 picks Bradley didn't make the top 6 as an automatic Ryder Cup selection but he can make it a no-brainer to pick himself by winning this week – or even finishing near the top of the leaderboard. He did that last year when he finished ninth and given the way he drives the ball, he's a real contender this week. Hall has a Ryder Cup statement to make himself, getting little attention from the European side thus far. He's finished 28th or better in 11 straight starts, a remarkable stretch for the overlooked Englishman. He doesn't necessarily thrive at tougher courses, but he avoids bogeys, which is a key metric at East Lake. Im has finished between second place and 24th in each of his last 5 appearances at East Lake, which is impressive no matter the Tour Championship's format. Ludvig Aberg (-105) vs. Russell Henley (-118) Henley isn't very long off the tee, which can put him at a disadvantage at a longer course like East Lake. Aberg, on the other hand, hits it long and straight off the tee and just finished T-7 at the BMW despite a 3-over final round. Viktor Hovland (-125) vs. Collin Morikawa (+100) Hovland has already won here once and he's up against Morikawa, who has been trending down for weeks. Cameron Young (-110) vs. J.J. Spaun (-110) Spaun is a steady player, but Young has a higher ceiling, especially after he broke through with his first win recently. Tour Championship – Top Asian It's Hideki Matsuyama and Im going head-to-head in this market and given Im's impressive track record here, he's the better value over Matsuyama, who's -175. Matsuyama hasn't had a top-10 since winning The Sentry in his first start of the year. Tour Championship – Top English It's risky to bet against Tommy Fleetwood (-140) and Justin Rose (+300) at a course where Hall has never played, but he's been too consistent and impressive in the last 2 months to ignore. Hall may not win the tournament but he can very easily finish higher than Fleetwood and Rose. Tour Championship – First-round leader Burns shot 4-under par in the first round last year, which didn't put him anywhere close to the top of the leaderboard thanks to the starting strokes, but it was one of the lowest rounds of the day. The 2025 Tour Championship features the top 30 players in the FedEx Cup Playoffs standings and for the second week in a row, the No. 1- and No. 2-ranked players will be in the final group the first day. Scottie Scheffler, who won last week's BMW Championship, will be paired with three-time FedEx Cup champ Rory McIlroy.
