Europe's BIGGEST McDonald's opens in major Brit holiday hotspot just in time for summer holidays
MCDONALD'S has opened its biggest site in Europe in a major Brit holiday hotspot - and it's come just in time for the summer holidays.
The fast-food giant has launched a huge location in the airport of sun-drenched Majorca - and it measures up at over 10,000 square feet.

The big Maccies includes eight digital kiosks, eight production lines as well as table service and McCafé products.
The launch of the massive site marks the company's largest on the entire continent.
Around 750,000 Brits travel to Majorca every summer, so the chain will be sure to endure its fair share of hungry Brit holidaymakers.
The enormous branch is located at Level P30, Module A Airside of Palma de Mallorca Airport in the Spanish island.
It measures up at a whopping 10,765 square feet.
The terminal has also recently undergone refurbishment work to improve passenger comfort and security, and retail space.
The new site is part of this extraordinary renovation in Module A.
And it is seemingly very exclusive to Brits - as the McDonald's will only be available to non-Schengen countries, according to What's The Jam.
This means most European countries won't be able to access it - paving the way for Brits and other international visitors to raid the kiosks.
The incredible new branch has reportedly created 200 new jobs, on top of the 1,000 workers already employed in the Balearic Islands.
Chief Restaurant Officer of McDonald's Spain Ángel Castillo said: 'This opening represents a new milestone and another example of our commitment to the Balearic Islands."
He called the region "an area of strategic interest for the company where we already have over 20 restaurants".
The spokesperson continued: "We are thereby contributing to the Spanish economy and the creation of quality employment, fulfilling our mission of supporting the communities where we operate."
There are already 43,500 McDonald's locations in over 100 countries worldwide.
And the biggest McDonald's on the entire planet is located in Orlando, Florida.
Known as the Epic McD, this behemoth fast-food chain measures in at a whopping 19,000 square feet.
Meanwhile, the UK's biggest McDonald's is a "Disneyland for fast food fans" with nearly 300 seats and unique features.
The giant restaurant, in Formby on Merseyside, showcases "the latest innovations from McDonald's".

ONE in five Brits admit to daydreaming about ditching the UK for a new life in sunny Spain. It's no surprise when you discover you can escape the Great British gloom for a three-bed in the Med for just £500-a-month. 8 The 2024 British Expat Report shows even more British families are considering emigrating in the next five years, with 11 per cent ready to leave right now. According to the data, 532,000 Brits emigrated last year, with 45% craving a better quality of life, 39% blaming the cost-of-living crisis and 37% just sick of our miserable weather. Millene Adaime works for relocation experts, Movinn, who help people move to Spain and Portugal from overseas. Over recent years, the demand for expats seeking a new life in Spain has increased, with more families reaching out to them for help. She told Sun Travel: "Spain used to have the reputation of being somewhere to retire to in your 60s and 70s, but we are getting more requests from modern families or young entrepreneurs who are looking for a different way of life. "The cost of living here is more affordable, and, of course, we have a fantastic climate." With demand growing, areas typically popular with Brits flying south for the sun are becoming crowded and more expensive. Boozy Benidorm has long been the Brit bolthole of choice, but Millene says the party playground is not necessarily the cheapest spot on the coast. She said: "Brits tend to favour areas they already know, like Benidorm, and due to the popularity of British movers to the area, the suburbs outside the tourist hub are very nice and very desirable. "However, the downside is that prices are on the rise and it's not the cheapest place to move to now." 8 8 Plan ahead Milene warns families also need to take into account other things that may end up costing more money down the line. She said: "We identify our clients' needs and make suggestions that might make life easier once they move in. She said: Some people who come to Spain from the UK want a completely different way of life. They want to embrace Spanish culture and go all-in. "Cádiz in the south is very Spanish. It's a traditional community where people leave their front door open and it's very social. "It's a place where your friends will just walk into your home, uninvited. A lot of Brits are thrown by this. "Some people want to move here for the weather and be around other British people. "That's fine, but I would recommend a different area to them, where life is a bit closer to home." With more people working from home than ever and incentives for business start-ups in countries like Spain, it's no wonder that so many of us dream of a new life on the beach. MCDONALD'S are giving out free Chicken McNuggets this month - but there's a catch. Fast food fans better hurry up and place a delivery if they want the free nuggets. 1 McDonald's is offering diners six free Chicken McNuggets following its recent partnership with delivery outfit Deliveroo. "Thanks to our new partnership with Deliveroo Plus, you can get six Chicken McNuggets for free this month," the fast food chain wrote in an Instagram post. "Until the 15th of June, customers spending £15 or more [UK] or €20 [IRE] when ordering through Deliveroo will also receive a portion of six Chicken McNuggets, at no extra cost! "It's just one of the ways we're offering fantastic value to our McDonald's fans this summer." However, revellers will need a Deliveroo Plus subscription and must order between 11am and 5am daily. But hurry - the offer expires June 15. RETURN HIKE Elsewhere, research by The Sun has found that some of the returning items at McDonald's have shot up in price since they were last on menus. The Toffee Apple Pie costed £1.99 when last on sale in 2023, but is now £2.09 - 10p more expensive. The Cheesy McCrispy costed £5.99 as a single item when last on sale, in January, but is now priced at £6.69 - 70p more. Pint prices on the rise and Maccies axes beloved item Meanwhile, the Halloumi Fries have gone up in price by 20p since they were last on menus. A pack of four is now £2.99 compared to £2.79 last May while a larger pack is now £7.59, up from £7.39. How to save money at McDonald's Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30% cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other. You can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 at any time by filling in a feedback survey found on McDonald's receipts. The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey. You'll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer. There are some deals and offers you can only get if you have the My McDonald's app, so it's worth signing up to get money off your meals.
