In a recent interview, Benny Blanco revealed that during their dating phase, Selena Gomez would come 30 minutes earlier than the agreed-upon date time and wait in her car.
Gomez and Blanco appeared on the 'Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware' podcast, where Blanco shared that his fiancée is obsessed with being on time, and he would see her waiting on his cameras.
'Selena is so insane that when we first started going out on dates, she was so obsessed with being on time, she used to pull up to my house minimum 20/30 minutes early and she would wait outside.
'But she didn't realise that my cameras could see down the street, and her car would be parked outside for like 30 minutes. And she would wait until it was time to come in,' the 37-year-old music producer said.
Gomez denied Blanco's claims and said that she used to do that solely because she was nervous and have the chance to call a friend in case she needed makeup touch ups.
Blanco also revealed that the 'Lose You To Love Me' hitmaker got a rash after their first kiss.
According to Blanco, they were on their second date and playing a get-to-know-you game, which prompted them to take a selfie.
'She got right on my chest and took a selfie, and then right after, I just looked at her and I said 'I gotta kiss this girl.
'Her heart started beating quickly, she started getting a rash on her face, and she was so nervous,' he shared.
However, Gomez said that the rash was simply because she hadn't liked anyone in a long time.
She added: 'When you feel something behind the kiss, it's completely different. I had been alone for five years, with the exception of a few s***ty dates here and there, but never felt that way.'
The couple started dating in 2023 and got engaged later in 2024. Since then, they have been showing love for each other on social media and have made multiple public appearances together.
The love birds have also worked together on Gomez's new album titled 'I Said I Love You First' which they have been promoting on their social media accounts for weeks now.

Selena Gomez champions mental health access

Selena Gomez, the force behind Rare Beauty, is shaking up the beauty world and the way we talk about mental health. At Rare Beauty's 4th Annual Mental Health Summit, Gomez made her mission clear. 'The goal was always to bring some sort of mental health access to people in every community because I didn't have that,' she shared. 'I went through a very weird time until I figured out I was bipolar, and there was clarity there. It seems scary for people, but it allows freedom and more conversation when you release your own story'. This year's summit was more than just a gathering. Nearly 200 people-advocates, creators, educators, and students came together to explore what emotional care truly looks like. Attendees discussed everything from managing anxiety in our digital world to building self-worth and supporting friends through tough times. Jay Shetty, author and podcast host, closed the day with a fireside chat. 'Sharing your story can be a bridge, not a burden,' he said. The brand's Rare Impact Fund has already raised over R244 million (about $13 million) and aims to reach R1.9 billion ($100 million) in 10 years. The fund supports organisations worldwide, focusing on BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and underserved youth. In South Africa, where access to mental health resources can be limited, this kind of global support matters. Rare Beauty's grants help fund school-based programmes, teacher training, and peer-led support networks-models that could inspire local initiatives. The summit also launched the 'Send Warm Wishes' campaign. Attendees wrote postcards to loved ones, reminding them they're not alone. 'Turns out, taking care of your mind can start with reaching out,' Gomez said. Rare Beauty even partnered with Paperless Post, so anyone, anywhere-including South Africans-can send a note of support. Rare Beauty's website offers free mental health resources-interactive guides, conversation starters, and videos. These are accessible to anyone, anywhere, and could be a lifeline for those in communities where mental health support is scarce, according to the Los Angeles Times. Selena Gomez's story resonates far beyond Hollywood. 'I struggled with the world inside my head for a long time and I felt lost and hopeless at times,' she admitted. 'But receiving my diagnosis in 2020 gave me the knowledge and answers I had been desperate for. Understanding my condition made me more aware and less afraid'. Rare Beauty is not just selling makeup. It's building a culture of compassion. And as Gomez's journey shows, sharing your struggles can spark real change-wherever you are in the world. Selena Gomez attends first prom thanks to Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez finally experienced the magic of prom, thanks to her fiancé, Benny Blanco. The singer has been working in Hollywood since she was a child and never had the chance to attend prom as a teenager. Blanco, ever the romantic, decided to change that. Four months into their engagement, Blanco surprised Gomez with a DIY prom night, according to Daily Mail. He shared a video on Instagram, captioning it: 'My fiancee has never been to prom before… so I asked her if we should take prom photos together at a mall… she said yes!' The video shows Blanco, 37, pacing in a tuxedo, before asking Gomez to prom. He then 'rented a limo' to take them to a local mall for prom pictures. Gomez looked stunning in a puffy purple ball gown, paired with black heeled boots and a fur coat. She completed the look with a black choker and glam hair and makeup. Blanco was smitten, and after sharing a kiss, the couple hopped into the limo for a ride through Hollywood. Blanco even rolled down the window to announce to fellow drivers that they were 'going to prom!' At the mall, they posed for photos in front of a blue watercolour backdrop. Blanco even had Gomez sit on his back for one playful shot, 'it was more fun that either of us expected,' Blanco admitted. The couple's prom came shortly after they celebrated Passover with celebrity friends. Blanco, born Benjamin Joseph Levin, even spun some tunes at the celebration. The couple, along with their guests, sang their song Bluest Flame . Selena Gomez and Blanco got engaged in December 2024, after dating for a year and a half. Blanco has joked about wedding planning. 'I think every day she's planned a new wedding in her head.' He added, 'We're very much 'take it one day at a time'-type of people. We're still not over this moment while you were talking, Selena Gomez was sitting there staring at her ring.' Later, Blanco shared, 'It feels like we got engaged yesterday, but also feels like we got engaged 20 years ago.' He expressed regret that they didn't get together sooner, saying, 'My biggest regret is that we didn't get to do this earlier, like we waited this long to be together. But I know it was perfect and it was right.' Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1.
