MARINA unveils tracklisting for new album Princess of Power
MARINA has unveiled the tracklisting for her forthcoming album, 'Princess of Power'.
The 39-year-old singer - who previously released music as Marina and the Diamonds - will release her sixth studio on June 6, and she has now shared the names of the 13 songs that make up the follow-up to 2021's 'Ancient Dream sin a Modern Land'.They include, 'Rollercoaster', 'Metallic Stallion', 'Je Ne Sais Quoi', 'Everybody Knows I'm Sad', 'I 3 U' and 'Final Boss'. The LP opens with the title track.
The singles 'Cuntissimo', 'Cupid's Girl' and 'Butterfly' just got their live debut at Coachella.
MARINA recently teased that she "dove into my fear of love" on the record.
She told Rolling Stone magazine: 'We are meeting a Marina who is not guarding her heart so much anymore.
'I think part of why this album has felt so freeing is that I think I've really dove into my fear of love. That's why for me, it's so powerful that this superheroine's biggest power is love.
'It can sound trite, but the ability to love is so powerful and brave. It's a courageous thing, particularly if you've been hurt in the past. It can be really hard to reprogramme yourself, and I've finally been able to do that.'
And MARINA thinks 'Princess of Power' reflects more of her inner self than before.
She said: 'Maybe to others, I've had a bold energy. Internally, I've always struggled to feel like I'm allowed to be my own person. The album is about teaching yourself — or re-teaching yourself — how to love.'
The 'I Am Not a Robot' hitmaker had "no intention" of making a pop record when she got into the recording studio, but she couldn't be happier with what she and producer CJ Baran have created together.
She said: 'I had no intention to do a pop record. But I found my creative partner CJ Baran, who is just so talented and it's just been such an enjoyable experience.
'I think that's why the energy of this record feels different: It's part of my evolution as a human being. It's a really fun record. It has a lot of energy.'

He told Rolling Stone magazine: 'We all do this — let's not pretend we don't do it. 'Looking to see if people comment on it, if people are watching it, just refreshing it like an absolute maniac. And no one was, and I was like, 'Dude, I suck. … It stinks, I suck, I'm the worst!' I was feeding into the worst thoughts of myself. "And then I woke up the next morning, and it had done really well, and I was like, 'I'm the best, yeah!' " And the singer found it "gratifying" to see how the track was embraced. He added: 'To see it succeed on TikTok and have what seems to be this universal relatability in terms of people making their own lyrics and creating their own storylines was incredible. "And it was really gratifying to see that I could make something that was specific to my life that could relate to a lot of different people's lives.'

Jimmy Fallon once threatened to take his own life if he wasn't cast on 'Saturday Night Live' before he turned 25. The comedian and late night host has admitted while he really did make the threat early in his career, he "didn't really mean it" because he was so certain he'd achieve his goals. He told 'The Diary of a CEO' podcast: "Yeah, I did [make the threat]. "But, again, I knew that I was gonna be on 'Saturday Night Live', so I guess I didn't really mean it. "Cause I was gonna be on 'Saturday Night Live' before I was 25. I just, I knew that I was going to be on it, so I knew I wasn't really a threat." Jimmy, now 50, made his debut on the iconic sketch show in 1998, when he was 24 years old. He recalled: "I became so obsessed in high school that I couldn't really hang out with anyone while I watched the show, because I didn't like it if anyone didn't like the show." The 'Tonight Show' host was part of the cast from 1998 to 2004, and he admitted his only dream job was to be on 'SNL'. He explained: "It had to be that, because that's what we would watch. Rihanna's dad dies aged 70
Rihanna's dad has died at the age of 70. The 37-year-old pop star - whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty - has yet to address her loss publicly, but Starcom Network reported on Saturday (31.05.25) that her father, Ronald Fenty had passed away following a "brief illness". The outlet reported that "family members have gathered in California, where Fenty passed away in the early hours of this morning", but gave no further detail. PEOPLE magazine later confirmed the news, although his official cause and date of death have yet to be revealed. The news comes just days after TMZ reported that Rihanna's brother Rajad Fenty had been seen at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and claimed that the 'Umbrella' hitmaker was also with him. Ronald is also survived by Rihanna's mother Monica Braithwaite - whom he split from in 2002 - as well as daughters Kandi, 54, and Samantha Fenty, 44, as well as his 35-year-old son Rorrey Fenty. Prior to their divorce, Ronald and Monica had raised their children in Bridgetown, Barbados where he worked as a warehouse supervisor and she was an accountant. Rihanna had endured a rocky relationship with her father when she was growing up. and was at the centre of a public battle with him when he spoke to the press after she was assaulted by then-boyfriend Chris Brown in 2009. However, the in the years that followed, she noted that she had "repaired" her relationship with her father and had to learn to "come to terms" with things that had gone in in the past. She told Oprah Winfrey: "He taught me everything, and as awful as he was to my mom, at times, it didn't compare to how great he was as a father. "And I had to come to terms with that, and I was able to close that gap with him." Despite this, in 2019, Rihanna sued her dad for allegedly exploiting her name for financial gain but elected to dismiss the complaint just weeks before it went to court. The 'Diamonds' songstress is currently expecting her third child with rapper A$AP Rocky - with whom she already has Rza, two, as well as 22-month-old Riot - and Ron previously shared how much he approved of his daughter's relationship. Ron told PageSix in 2023: "He's such a cool guy. Very respectable. He's taking to fatherhood very well."
