What did Dan Quinn say to his team after NFC championship loss?
It's been a wild ride for Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn over the past 12 months. After a blowout playoff loss to the Packers last January, Quinn, then the Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator, interviewed with multiple teams in his quest to become a head coach again.
A few weeks later, Washington hired Quinn. Quinn quickly assembled an excellent coaching staff led by offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. Things couldn't have gone much better for the Commanders. They won 12 games, the most since 1991, two road playoff games, and appeared in their first NFC championship in 33 years.
Unfortunately, the dream season ended Sunday when Washington fell to the Philadelphia Eagles 55-23 in the NFC title game. It was a disappointing ending after such a terrific year.
After the loss, Quinn spoke to the media and revealed what he told his team in the locker room.
'What I told the players, I really wanted them to savor this time in the locker room with their teammates,' Quinn said. 'The locker room is never the same year-to-year, and they've really created something very unique and very special……I wanted them to recognize the brotherhood they created together.'

Brotherhood is something Quinn talked about all year. The players bought in entirely and many sounded like Quinn when discussing the team.
Quinn also spoke with Tom Rinaldi of FOX Sports, echoing a similar message.
'To be on this journey with these guys and to see the connection that they've built. There's a lot of lessons that we're going to take from this year that we'll use for years to come.'

Despite Sunday's result, the future is bright in Washington.

Every joint practice announced for 2025 training camp, including Patriots NFL training camp is a little over a month away, and now, we have a full list of every scheduled joint practice for all 32 teams, including the New England Patriots. There will be two joint practices for the Patriots this year. The first practice will take place on August 6 in Foxborough against the visiting Washington Commanders. On August 13, they will head on the road to Eagan to face the Minnesota Vikings. These joint practices will give the Patriots a chance to go up against stellar competition before the regular season. The Commanders and Vikings were both playoff contenders last season, with Washington advancing all the way to the NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams will provide massive tests for the Patriots' defense. The Commanders have one of the great young quarterbacks in the league in Jayden Daniels, and the Vikings have one of the league's top receiving corps with the duo of Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. The Patriots are officially slated to report to training camp on July 22, and the first actual training camp practice will be held on the grass fields behind Gillette Stadium on Wednesday, July 23. Story went below the strike zone to get a hold of a sinker from Mariners starter Luis Castillo (4-5) in the fourth inning and deposited it beyond the wall in left-center field to break a 1-1 tie. Boston went in front 1-0 in the second inning on a solo shot by rookie Marcelo Mayer, but the Mariners evened the score in the bottom half of the frame when Crochet (7-4) skipped a wild pitch past home plate and Randy Arozarena scored standing up from third base.
