Eater7 days ago
The Eater shopping team has been hard at work bringing you all of the best Prime Day deals that we think are amazing, with markdowns on everything from Apple Watches to creamy pistachio spread, but let's point the mic toward you, dear reader, and ask: What do you want? We're here to try to answer that by bringing you the best deals on bestsellers with Eater readers — the stuff we've covered that you've bought, tried, and cherished. What does an Eater reader add to cart? Mid-century-modern coffee machines, expensive-smelling hand wash, chainmail gloves, and tested-and-vetted smart toaster ovens.
If you were intrigued by these buys when we've covered them before, you'll be pleased to see that they're all on sale for the big Amazon bacchanal, at no less than 16% off and up to a whopping 52% off. Let's take a look.
The Breville Smart Oven: 20% off
We put this do-it-all device to the test against four other high-tech toaster ovens, and its versatility wowed our writer Charley Lanyon. 'This appliance is more than just a toaster oven — it's a full-fledged countertop sous chef. With its Element IQ system, multiple heating elements adjust dynamically to ensure even cooking, whether you're baking cookies, roasting a chicken, or dehydrating fruit,' he wrote. Now you can score one for $80 off.
The Fullstar veggie chopper: 50% off
You've seen it make pico de gallo or Italian chopped salad in seconds on TikTok. Now, take home the oddly satisfying gadget for half its usual price.
This OXO bottle drying rack: 39% off
It's not just for people with babies — this drying rack is perfect for glassware of all kinds, according to our contributor Patty Lee. It's just 16 bucks right now.
Technivorm Moccamaster coffee machine: 45% off
Not only is it one hell of a good-looking coffee machine (Gwyneth Paltrow has one in her guest house), but this mid-century-modern-inspired appliance makes 10 cups of delicious, nerd-approved coffee in one batch. This is the lowest price we've ever seen it at.
The Vitamix Explorian Blender: 27% off
'Simply put, the Vitamix is the Bugatti of blenders, because the countertop appliance is one of those clout-worthy items that actually lives up to its price tag — in this instance, through horsepower and versatility,' our shopping writer Francky Knapp explains re: the popularity of Vitamix blenders. 'I have seen some of the biggest, best Vitamix blenders out there pummel even an intimidating array of ingredients to smooth perfection. They're not just great for Saratoga-toting protein smoothie buffs; they're great for making soups, pulverizing hard vegetables, and seamlessly blending chunks of ice.' When a Vitamix is on sale, we're listening.
Miyabi Koh 8-inch Chef's Knife: 37% off
Made of high-carbon stainless steel and laden with intricate Japanese design details and well-balanced, full-tang construction, this knife was named our best all-around chef's knife, so it's a very worthy splurge.
Method Vetiver + Amber Hand Soap: 16% Off
This excellent-smelling affordable hand soap punches way above its weight— if it weren't for the label, we'd think it was Le Labo. Pick up a three-pack while it's discounted.
Jisulife Handheld Mini Fan: 20% off
Our writer Bettina Makalintal has discovered that this rechargeable pocket-sized fan is the perfect companion to picnics and outdoor dinners in the sweaty, humid summer heat. Also great for travel — and at 20% off, it's just over $15.
Schwer's SlicePro cut-resistant chainmail glove: 39% off
Our senior commerce editor Hilary Pollack may love to use super-sharp Japanese knives, but she's not losing the tip of a finger (again) thanks to these hand-saving, durable mesh gloves that also have medieval-chic appeal (and are majorly on sale for Prime Day).
Joyjolt glass food storage containers: 17% off
This dishwasher-safe, freezer-safe set of glass storage containers is perfect for meal prep without resorting to disposable plastic — and right now, is just about $33 for a 24-piece set.
Ninja Flip Toaster Oven & Air Fryer: 18% off
Known for its user-friendly, high-performing appliances, Ninja has done something super-clever with this toaster oven that can be flipped upright to save precious counter space. Save 50 bones for Prime Day and enjoy homemade salted chocolate chip cookies or late-night Totino's pizza rolls at the press of a button.
Whysko Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl Set: 38% off
Mixing bowls are the unsung workhorses of every home kitchen — and this set nests to save space and is made of durable, easy-to-clean stainless steel for many salads, batters, and sauces to come.
Noya Adjustable Tofu Press: 31% off
Our favorite tofu press for marinating is under $20 right now. If you're a vegetarian or just someone who loves eating tofu, don't underestimate how handy a tofu press can be.
Novete Portable Countertop Dishwasher: 15% off
Our writer Irina Groushevaia adores this little appliance, perfect for solo dwellers or couples in apartments that are dishwasher-deficient. 'I didn't realize how much mental space the mess in my kitchen was taking up until I'd had the appliance for several weeks,' Groushevaia explains. 'It's perfect for one or two people, and it can usually hold dishes and glassware from two consecutive meals in a single washing cycle. But it even handled a dinner party I'd thrown for six people.'
Imarku's 8' Chef Knife: 52% off
Named our best budget chef's knife, it's a bargain for being such a super-sharp, versatile blade, even at full price — let alone at more than half off.
Thanks for reading, and we hope you love these kitchen tools and gadgets as much as we do (and that you get a chainmail glove and protect your fingers if you bought one of the knives).

This Dating App for Disney Adults Has the Best Name Ever: Single Riders

The world of Disney is not just a world of magic. It's also a world of love. Mickey and Minnie. Donald and Daisy. Beast and Belle. Aladdin and Jasmine. Those are just a few famous pairings from the Mouse House, a place that is home to countless iconic romances. Now a new dating app in development wants to help Disney Adults find their own prince or princess in the parks. And it has the best name for a dating app ever: Single Riders. Disney content creator Joe the Bearded Nerd is working on a dating app designed specifically for theme park enthusiasts. He explained in his TikTok video announcing the idea where the concept came from. It started two years ago when a date stood him up. He responded the way many Orlando locals would do in that situation: he went to Disney. There he had a moment of inspiration that would make Figment proud. He hopes his app will launch before the end of the year, with beta testers getting an early chance to try it. The service's amazing name—which comes from special lanes on certain rides that let guests skip ahead so long as they're willing to ride alone—isn't the only reason we think his app will be a hit. It's because it's not only about helping Disney adults find love. It will also have a 'friendship' side. It will let Disney enthusiasts find people to go to the parks with. Perfect name, perfect concept. But if you want to ensure ensure the app itself is perfect, Joe wants to hear from you. He is encouraging Disney fans to chime in with the kinds of features they want to see included. I'm a very happily married Disney fan. But since I also love dad jokes I still have an idea for the dating side. Include a 'speed dating' feature that lets singles ride meetup on Tron Lightcycle Run. If you can quickly find love on a ride that fast, you've truly found a magical romance worthy of a Disney movie. Solve the daily Crossword

Newlyweds Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez are back home in Miami. We have details

The Bezoses are backkk. One of the most famous couples on the planet returned home to Miami after their over the top, star-studded wedding in Venice last month. Jeff Bezos and his new bride Lauren Sanchez were spotted grabbing dinner Tuesday night at AVIV at 1 Hotel South Beach, TMZ first reported. The high end Israeli restaurant, with James Beard winning chef Michael Solomonov running the kitchen, is only about seven miles from the pair's massive compound in Indian Creek Village. We reached out to the eatery to find out their order but did not immediately hear back. Signature items include mezze such as warm stuffed dates, mains like grouper with fried shallots and baklava for dessert. Though fellow guests told the outlet they were dining one-on-one, a security detail was in tow. Since there were no pictures provided of the outing, we're not sure if Bezos is still sporting his signature, bald look. After Italy, the newlyweds traveled to Sun Valley, Idaho, for the Allen & Co. conference, aka billionaires' summer camp, where pap pics showed the Amazon founder rocking a decent amount of white hair. The 61-year-old Palmetto alum has been shaving his head for more than 10 years.

The Gist Kylie Jenner went makeup-free in a GRWM video with her 7-year-old daughter Stormi. The mother-daughter duo got all dolled up, as Stormi shared her favorite things from their trip to Greece. Jenner also imparted some inspiration beauty advice on her daughter, saying, "Mommy always tells you, 'You're the most beautiful without makeup.'"Kylie Jenner's adorable daughter Stormi just reached a new major milestone: her first GRWM video. The 7-year-old and her makeup mogul mom had the sweetest mommy-and-me time, where they got all dolled up while Jenner imparted some inspirational beauty advice. The pair started their TikTok bare-faced with radiant skin. After introducing themselves as each other, the Khy founder put her arm around her bundle of joy and said, "We're going to do our first-ever makeup tutorial together," while Stormi let out a cute laugh. They both started with Jenner's new Kylie Cosmetics Lip Butter, which Stormi noted is "really glossy." Stormi moved onto blush, while Jenner got started with foundation. "Stormi likes to play with my makeup sometimes but obviously she doesn't wear makeup yet," the 27-year-old explained. Next up for Stormi was mascara, which her mom kindly helped her apply. "We are in Greece," Stormi shared. "I love the boat that we were on. I love the food, I love the water. The water's so warm." The mom-of-two smiled wide while continuing her full beat and asked, "Do you like having sleepovers with mommy every night?" to which Stormi replied, "Yes!" Stormi added touches of highlighter, remarking, "Perfect," as she blended it in. Jenner watched her lovingly, saying, "You are so cute." The reality TV star then gave some advice, saying, "Mommy always tells you, 'You're the most beautiful without makeup.'" The girls added some blush, and then Jenner went in with lip liner, eyeshadow, an eyebrow pencil, and highlighter, when Stormi sassily said, "Now we're just waiting on mommy to finish." The duo revealed their final looks and cuddled up. Stormi and Jenner have surely been enjoying their time in the Mediterranean. The other day, Jenner shared a heart-warming video of them dancing on a yacht in matching robes. "built-in bestie for life ♾️," Jenner captioned the post, set to the tune of Tavares's "Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel." Before that, the model and her mini-me were in Italy, where they enjoyed a lush courtyard, glamorous pool, and fresh pizza. Read the original article on InStyle Solve the daily Crossword
