Fact Check: Old pics of Trump with his daughter Ivanka have resurfaced. They're real
Two photos shared on social media authentically showed U.S. President Donald Trump with his daughter Ivanka as a child sitting on his lap.
Rating:
For years, two photos have spread on social media that purportedly show U.S. President Donald Trump with his daughter Ivanka as a child sitting on his lap.
The photos resurfaced on social media in July 2025, as Trump's connection to deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein came under new scrutiny. Critics of Trump shared the images with the sarcastic caption: "He is not weird! Why are you calling him weird?"

The collage also appeared on platforms such as Threads, Pinterest, Reddit, Imgur and Know Your Meme.
In short, both photographs were authentic and indeed depicted the president and his daughter, which is why we rated this claim true.
The picture on the right of the collage was featured in a Time magazine article titled "Ivanka Trump's Life in Pictures." According to the piece, the photograph was taken by Brian Smith at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, in 1996. Its caption read: "Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka."
Smith's official website also contained the image.

The picture on the left of the collage was sourced from Ivanka Trump's official Instagram account. She shared the image on Dec. 12, 2013, with the caption: "Me and my dad."

This was not the first time Snopes fact-checked images of Trump allegedly posing with young girls. For instance, we investigated a photo showing Trump with Ivanka Trump as a child posing on a bed. We have also debunked claims an image showed Trump with Epstein and a young girl.

Emerald Law Group Recovers $1.15 Million for Family of Woman Killed by Parolee
Settlement follows allegations that state failed to protect mother despite history of domestic violenceEmerald Law Group Logo SEATTLE, Aug. 04, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Emerald Law Group has secured a $1.15 million settlement on behalf of the estate and surviving children of Destinie Gates-Jackson, a 33-year-old mother of two who was fatally assaulted in 2020 by her former boyfriend, Lester Thompson. The civil complaint alleged that the Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) failed in its duty to supervise Thompson, who was on parole at the time for a prior assault against Ms. Gates-Jackson. According to the lawsuit, despite Thompson's history of domestic violence and an active no-contact order, he remained in the community under DOC supervision. The litigation revealed that the DOC allegedly failed to adequately monitor his compliance with parole conditions. Thompson later absconded from supervision, ultimately leading to the fatal incident that claimed Ms. Gates-Jackson's life. Emerald Law Group represented the estate of Destinie Gates-Jackson on behalf of her two children — a minor daughter and an adult son — who are now left to navigate life without their mother. 'This case is a devastating reminder of how systemic failures in supervision and accountability can have fatal consequences,' said Michael Gustafson, attorney at Emerald Law Group. 'While no amount of money can bring back Destinie, we hope this settlement provides her children with some measure of justice and stability. Our team remains committed to holding institutions accountable when they neglect their duty to protect those most at risk.' The settlement is intended to support the long-term care and well-being of the children, including funds for housing, education, and therapy. 4 arrested in connection with July 10 shootout between prison staffers, alleged carjackers
Pueblo police recently arrested four men in connection with a July 10 shootout between off-duty Colorado prison workers and alleged carjacking suspects, police announced in an Aug. 4 news release. Quincy Stephens, 20, Damion Trujillo, 20, Marcus Pechek, 19, and Juaquin Trujillo, 19, were arrested on charges of attempted second-degree homicide and aggravated robbery. A 16-year-old male suspect remains at large, according to the release. Police were initially called to investigate after three people were injured when gunfire was exchanged between a group of off-duty Colorado corrections workers and alleged carjacking suspects at the Sgt. Blake A. Harris Skateboard Park in City Park. Pueblo police were made aware of the incident at approximately 2:40 a.m. that day after three people — two of the alleged carjacking suspects and one of the corrections workers — showed up at two local hospitals with gunshot injuries, according to Pueblo Police Department Community Engagement Manager Bianca Hicks. The five Colorado Department of Corrections workers, employees of the Centennial Correctional Facility in Fremont County, were skating, playing football, and hanging out at the park after its curfew when a group of five suspects allegedly tried to carjack one of the workers' vehicles. Shots were then fired by at least one CDOC officer and one suspect, Hicks said, and police later recovered 70 handgun shell casings at the scene. Two of the alleged carjacking suspects were injured by gunfire, as was one of the CDOC workers. Hicks told the Chieftain that the victims transported one of the injured suspects to a local hospital for treatment after the suspect was left behind by the rest of their party when they fled the scene. Stephens and Damion Trujillo remained in custody at the Pueblo County jail as of Aug. 4, while Pechek was released on bond after spending just under six days in custody, police said in the release. Juaquin Trujillo was also released on bond after spending three days in custody. Stephens will make his first court appearance on Aug. 21, Pechek is scheduled for a plea hearing on Aug. 14, Damion Trujillo is scheduled for a bond hearing on Aug. 14, and Juaquin Trujillo is scheduled for a setting on the same day. All four cases are set in the court of Judge William Alexander. More: Victim in Pueblo's seventh homicide of 2025 identified by coroner Questions, comments, or story tips? Grimm Reboot: Elizabeth Tulloch Offers ‘Exciting' Update on Potential Peacock Series — Would She Return?
It's been seven months since news first broke of a Grimm reboot being developed at Peacock, and we've been practically woging with anticipation ever since. So when TVLine recently connected with original series star Elizabeth Tulloch, we couldn't resist asking for an update, and the woman formerly known as Juliette (or Eve, depending on the day) was happy to oblige. More from TVLine Suzanne Rogers Exiting Days of Our Lives...?! Rep Addresses Wild Rumor Peyton Meyer Exits Days of Our Lives: Did Doug Williams Redeem Himself Before Leaving Salem? Days of Our Lives Snags Two-Season Renewal at Peacock, Keeping It Streaming Through 2028 'I know there's a script being written, and I know that David [Giuntoli] met with them,' Tulloch tells us. 'I don't think they would do a reboot or a spinoff or whatever it's going to be without David's involvement.' Grimm originally aired for six seasons (2011–2017) on NBC, starring Giuntoli as Nick Burkhardt, a detective who descends from a long line of Grimms — aka slayers of fairytale monsters known as Wesen. 'It's pretty exciting,' Tulloch says of the show's still-growing fanbase, which she attributes to the show's multiple streaming homes. 'A lot of people are sort of finding Grimm. We did 123 episodes, and it has like 90% on Rotten Tomatoes still.' As for whether Tulloch would like to reprise one or both of her roles in a potential continuation of Grimm… you'll have to watch the interview: In addition to Giuntoli and Tulloch, Grimm also starred Claire Coffee, Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Bree Turner, Reggie Lee, Sasha Roiz and Jacqueline Toboni. The series was created by David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, who also served as co-showrunners. Both are reportedly involved in Peacock's potential reboot, along with original series producers Lynn Kouf, Hazy Mills Productions and Universal Television. Josh Berman (Drop Dead Diva, CSI, The Blacklist) is writing and executive-producing the new series. At the time of the original report, a rep for Peacock told TVLine that it had no additional information to share. Hit PLAY on the video above to watch TVLine's interview with Tulloch, then drop a comment with your dream project below. Are you hoping for a direct continuation in which Nick passes the torch to a new Grimm? Or perhaps you'd rather get a spinoff following specific characters?
