
Bahrain calls for moon-sighting to mark start of Eid Al Fitr 2025
Bahrain has called on people in the Kingdom to look out for and report sightings of the Shawwal crescent moon on Saturday.
The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) has announced that the Moon Sighting Committee will convene on the evening of Saturday, Ramadan 29 1446 AH, corresponding to March 20 2025, to receive testimonies on the sighting of the crescent moon marking the beginning of the month of Shawwal.
The sighting of the moon will mean the end of Ramadan 2025 and the start of the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
