Trailer for the Action Thriller 40 ACRES Set in a Famine-Decimated Near Future — GeekTyrant
Magnolia has released the trailer for an upcpming 'bold, no-holds-barred action-thriller' titled 40 Acres . The story is set in the famine-decimated near future where a former soldier and her family struggle to safeguard their farm as they make one last stand against a vicious militia hell-bent on taking their land.
In the film, 'after a plague eradicates all animal life, famine spreads across the globe leaving society at war and in ruins, but the Freemans are surviving — even thriving — on their ancestral farm so long as they dispatch the occasional raiding party.
'But what good is surviving the end of the world if it means snuffing out your own humanity? Former soldier Hailey made that choice years ago, believing that isolation was the only way to protect her family. She and her partner Galen fled the collapse along with their children, fenced them off from the world and trained them to fight (and, yes, kill).
'But now Hailey's eldest Emanuel is a young man, and when he meets a young woman in the forest beyond the fence, his need for human contact could place the whole family in jeopardy.
The movie comes from director R.T. Thorne, who is making their debut feature film. It stars acclaimed actress Danielle Deadwyler, Kataem O'Connor, Michael Greyeyes, and Milcania Diaz-Rojas.
40 Acres will be released in theaters on July 2nd.

Justin Bieber Shares Summer Vacation Pics With Jack
Justin Bieber has had a pretty rough couple weeks thanks to alllll that drama over Hailey Bieber's Vogue cover, but it looks like he's fully relaxed and in vacation mode. The "Baby" singer hopped on Instagram to share pics from a recent trip, including one of his son Jack riding on his shoulders. And before you ask: Hailey isn't in this latest round of pics—but she did like them, so no need to read into things! Plus, she's in these photos seemingly from the same trip: Justin's vacation comes amid a source spilling about his and Hailey's relationship to the Daily Mail following the singer's Vogue caption drama. "Justin and Hailey get into fights, and Justin goes for the low hanging fruit to try to win arguments, to make Hailey feel bad, and it works," they said. "As much as they are in love, there are plenty of times that they are at each other's throats. Hailey has been mad at him plenty of times, and it will happen again and again. She comes around and forgives him. She will let him do what he needs to do and will accept his apology. The Justin we see now is the Justin that Hailey has seen all along, and she feels like she can always fix him. Good or bad, it is a never ending circle." The insider also dramatically added that "Justin and Hailey treat their relationship like Romeo and Juliet—without the morbid ending. They love hard, they fight hard, and drama often fuels their every move."

Fairhope and Daphne hit by 80 mph winds as surprise storm downs trees across Baldwin County
FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WKRG) — The sound of chainsaws replaced the sound of howling winds that reached gusts of up to 80 miles an hour storming through the Rock Creek neighborhood in Fairhope Thursday morning. Termite season is among us, Gulf Coast — here's how to get rid of them 'I got the weather alert, and I looked outside and it started getting really dark, and I went back to the bathroom and took my dog with me,' said Macy Powell as the storm approached. It only took a couple of minutes for the squall line to pass through the neighborhood. 'Honestly, it sounded like a million trees were falling down in the moment,' added Powell. There were trees on houses, trees just missing houses. 'The neighbors were here and they told me it sounded like a locomotive going through the neighborhood,' said Dee Niette Thompson, who had a tree on her roof. 'The doors were actually banging. It was bad, it was really bad.' It was a close call for a lot of neighbors, like Darlene Prudhomme, now dealing with a demolished Magnolia tree. 'I heard it, that's what scared me. I looked over that way and I didn't see any hole in my roof.' In Old Towne Daphne, trees that couldn't stand up to the wind were quickly cleared by city crews after a severe storm that took a lot of folks by surprise. 'It's going to take us a while to get this place cleaned up again,' Thompson said. Todd and Julie Chrisley have been released from federal prison There were damage reports scattered throughout Baldwin County, but so far, no reports of anyone injured.
