Where is the hotel?
Burleigh Court is in the heart of the Cotswolds near Stroud, overlooking the Golden Valley.
A free car park and street parking is available to guests.

The hotel is a Grade-II listed manor house turned a 4* boutique hotel, dating back to the 1800s.
Its garden terrace is the perfect spot for sipping a cocktail while soaking up views of the Golden Valley.
The nature spa and grounds at Burleigh Court offer tranquillity, and the treatment hut sums up the perfect restorative weekend away.

The nature-themed wellness garden, which is new for spring, is a must.
The outdoor spa has been inspired by an ancient practice known as Nordic Cycle Therapy with hot saunas and cold plunge pools.
They also offer an afternoon tea (only £25) from Wednesday to Saturday.
If you fancy a shot into the countryside ways, you can have a clay pigeon experience (groups of 4+ start from £65pp).

With 2AA Rosettes, The Burleigh is an excellent restaurant, focusing on simple and seasonal grub cooked to a high standard.
Expect dishes like dry-aged steak served with rosemary sea salt chips and perfectly garlicky herb butter.

The evacuation order was sounded at around 2:20pm on Monday afternoon. One holidaymaker said: "Going down to the beach was the only solution. "At first, it was a little smoky in the morning. "At lunchtime, around three or four, we saw the smoke intensifying and that a lot of helicopters and firefighters were coming." Along with dozens of neighbours, he made a beeline for the coast. He said: "The smoke was intensifying and getting closer. "We saw flames coming down from the top of the mountain and that the easterly wind was intensifying. We were scared." For example, you could take a dip in Q Lake - which is the family lake and also the largest lake, spanning across seven acres in total. For added fun (and to make sure the kids don't get bored) you can paddleboard or kayak on the lake. However, visitors will need to bring their own equipment and pre-book a time slot. Or head to one of the other three lakes, which are adults only. The Monet Lake is known for being calm, where you can swim amongst flowering lilies - hence why it is named after Claude Monet. It measures 200 metres long and there are large grassy banks to sunbathe on when you don't want to be in the water. Then at M Lake - shaped like the letter - visitors can enjoy 500 metres of swimming or hop into one of five wood-fired saunas. Lastly, those who prefer to get a good workout in can head to Horseshoe Lake where they will find a 300 metre circuit. It also has outdoor showers and saunas. Visitors that want to use the saunas will also need to book, with each 55-minute session costing £15 or £20 to include lake access. After a leisurely swim, you can grab a bite and a drink at the Pool Bridge Farm Cafe with homemade meals and wood-fired pizzas. The attraction also hosts events occasionally, including a sound bath on August 24 and an Equinox Event on September 21. The attraction is open from 8am to 8pm throughout the summer. A child swim ticket costs £5 and an adult swim ticket costs £8. If you work for the NHS, you can get a discounted ticket for £6.40.
